Good until it goes wrong then very bad
Starting with the plus - if you order something and a) they get the order right and b) the part isn't damaged / broken then they are very good. However.....
... The mark of a good company is when issues arrise. I'm really comfortable that "these things happen" but NippyNormans doesn't deal with it well.
I ordered a part for next day delivery (and paid extra). The wrong part arrived. Contacting them, then after a couple of days they got back to me telling me my order was wrong (even though what I ordered didn't match what they delivered). Another couple of days and they "accept" accept their website was wrong. Their solution - i could send the part back at my cost!! So pay for next day, wait, send it back at your cost. They (eventually) sent the right part.... Nearly a week-and-ahalf after the original ship date. Did they send the correct part "next day" - no.
So wrong part - their mistake

If you want to take the gamble that everything is ok (and I'm sure they'll give you a stat about 99.x% of orders being right) feel free. But IF you get a problem, be aware.... And don't expect good customer service

Yes, I had a problem, but this was with the carrier, NOT with the supplier!

I'm puzzled by all these bad reviews, as you have to believe what the posts say. However, I've been using Nippy Norman regularly since 2010, when I bought my first RT. Three BMW's later and after many more purchases, I've never had a problem either with the product quality, service or deliveries. We once had a failed Stebel horn, but Norman exchanged it directly and without any hassle. If someone's giving bad telephone customer service though, that wants tackling pdq, as bad news travels much faster than good. So it seems something's going wrong here, but fortunately it's never happened to me!

Had to give 1 star because it doesn't allow me to put any less! DO NOT BUY form Nippy Normans. If the product becomes faulty, as mine did, they accept the return tell you exchange is going through then you hear nothing and receive no replacement product. The cannot be trusted as history tells if you do check prior to purchasing from them... which I didn't!
No telephone number on website should be a clear warning that after sales service is not on the top of their agenda. AVOID

I ordered a part from them which arrived defective. I emailed sales to arrange for replacement or refund along with a photo. Had an email back to say just send it back to the address on the website and they would replace it. I replied with the address I found so I was sure it was the correct location, and to query if they were expecting me to pay for return postage as it was defective? Their reply was simply "Yes". I replied once more to tell them I thought it was unreasonable to expect me to pay for a defective part to be returned and that I had paid in good faith for something which didn't arrive, I could understand if I was returning it because I no longer wanted it... No reply. This was the first and last thing I will by from them... So rude. Now I have to pay double shipping costs.

I have to agree with many of the other reviews.
I ordered an item showing as in stock, and it took 10 days to arrive because, guess what it was out of stock.
When it arrived it had missing parts, I emailed NN explaining exactly the situation, and the parts required.
I then got what seems to be the standard rude phone call, where I explained the situation again, then again. being spoken to like a naughty child.
After to not too pleasant call ended, I received an email telling me what I was requesting was incorrect and the actual missing parts would be delivered within a few days, which to be fair they were but, the parts I got were indeed what I asked for and not what the email stated or the phone call.
In summary I got what I ordered eventually after being mislead by their in stock claim, a rude phone call and an incorrect email.
Great customer service
I ordered a Wunderlich tank bag and it was dispatched almost straight away however my company refused to accept personal deliveries so it went back to Nippy Normans who responded quickly to my emails and then resent the parcel again as soon as they had it back from Royal Mail. This is my first order from Nippy Normans but I shall not hesitate to order from them again, very soon in fact.
Hit and Miss
Used to be a frequent buyer with this company, for the positives of having an easy to navigate site, reliable stock indication, good purchase comms with tracking, and reliable delivery. The negatives are that customer service can be non-existent: product queries or issues don't always get answered. Another disappointment is the undeclared policy on reviews: even well balanced product reviews will not be published if they contain critique liable to affect sales. Lack of competition against the listed positives is what keeps this business going. Wouldn't say don't use, don't have the highest expectations over customer service

As long as you don't have to talk to them.
Best parts in the UK, great selection, great prices, have been very happy with all purchases. However, aftersales support utter rubbish and don't ask for advice on anything that's on or off the site, rude, arrogant and very unhelpful, just because you sell good quality parts, does not mean you should have cr@p customer service.....

I have used Nippy Normans several times in recent months, like many others I was concerned by the bad reviews. However, I have received an excellent service with quick delivery every time so will continue to use them in future. The products are always as described and on the one occasion I had to contact customer services with a query they replied within 24 hours.
Service as it should be.
Wunderlich satnav mount ordered online. Email a short while later to say it had been dispatched. Arrived next day.

Atrocious customer service, rude and petulant
I ordered 9 items from Nippy Normans because I thought the price was competitive. When it finally got to me, I realised one of the Wunderlich item was missing parts, and another item was wrongly sent. I sent a first email hoping to straighten it out but immediately he was curt and implied I was wrong and that the missing item was an additional item that I had to pay for. Throughout the entire 'customer service' process, he didn't admit his mistake to the point I had to raise a dispute with PayPal. Terrible, very disappointing, how can a retailer behave in this manner.
Nippy's have been pretty good
Nippy's have been pretty good. It took some time to get everything sorted but they did refund all of my money no question. I find not having a contact phone number a bit of a pain and for that reason I doubt I will use them again based on the lack of human contact. They were quick with getting back to me and sorted out my refund within a few days of returning my product.
Poor aftersales
My first two orders came quickly and were correct.
The next one took longer and the parts bad been clearly damaged by someone's hamfisted attempt to fit them.
I told NN this but they stated that they never sent out 'returned' goods. I had to post them back at MY expense and chase and chase NN before they agreed to a replacement. They did not offer to pay my postage....which they must do by law if goods are faulty. I had to demand it back.
With no phone number (I wonder why?) you have to email any problem and wait days for a reply. Not an experience I want to repeat.
Stay AWAY!
I HAVE BOUGHT SOME TOOLS AND PARTS FROM THEM. ONE OF THEM WAS OIL FILTER WRENCH. THEY SENT WRONG FILTER WRENCH AND I SENT IT BACK AND ASKED FOR A REFUND. THEY DO NOT ANSWER TO THE EMAILS. THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY PHONE NUMBER. I HAVE ESCALATED TO PAYPAL. JUST A SCAM, BE AWARE AND STAY AWAY!
Disgusting service.
My product came incomplete. Nippy Norman's have not replied to countless emails and telephone calls and I am left with a faulty product and no way to refund it.

I ordered a cover for my K1600Gt on the Tuesday, it was despatched on Wednesday and received (despite Christmas rush) Friday. I think this is excellent service and do not understand all the negative reviews. Over the past 18 months I have ordered a range of goods from them and have received the same excellent service on each occasion.
