Worst company ever (unless you are foreign)

Managements attitude is awful and they do nothing but ignore your messages and emails for weeks.
No way forward in the company unless you are a yes man or foreign.
No bonuses, benefits or incentives to actual do well.
Wages always messed up.
Holiday paid wrong.

STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY!!

company went bust??

7 November 2016 to 23 April 2023 I worked for them but i'M 100% they went under because we all got moved to a different company.

1) pay was always wrong
2) You were made to feel bad when it was your day off
3) They told everyone who was a supervisor/ manager to write a good review due to people writing the truth on other sites
4) They didn't care if you had a NI
5) good look getting a day off
6) i still have photos of the texts I was sent in my journal (it got to a point i was scared of my phone)
7) people would go missing for weeks and just turn up and not get the sack
8) i was told to come to work when I had bad COVID and had to stay home for 2 weeks. It got to a point my doctor had to phone my boss and told him the rules
9) oh and can't forget the time I was stalked by a creepy manager. When he got the sack he kept contacting other people saying he was gonna take me to court for some odd reason (it was just talk)

2020-2022 - supervisor (stopped being a supervisor due to mental health) , Temp Manager 2021 - 2022 (won't do it again....NIC would not pay me the rate due to being a temp FOR A YEAR and working my butt off running a team aka they where taking the weewee.

The only good that came out of it is that I'm trained to use the Karcher (and have trained others), I'm trained to conduct audits, create timetables, and handle payroll. I have also trained supervisors and managers.

A Shameful and Unethical Company

My experience mirrors others: a polished exterior hides a toxic reality. The company culture is one of disrespect, with senior management ignoring serious concerns and HR malpractice. Reviews detail underpayment, misrepresentation to franchisees, and the bullying of staff with disabilities. Their actions, as described, are devoid of basic ethics and humanity. Avoid at all costs.

When this company took over my contract, their polished image gave me hope — that disappeared fast. The induction was chaotic, the training a mess, and any effort to contribute was ignored. Communication is dismissive, support is nonexistent, and staff are treated like an afterthought. I can see exactly why their staff reviews are so low on Indeed. Their public image might shine, but working for them is the complete opposite. Steer well clear.

Integrity?

For .any months the NIC Group consistently underpaid a friend of mine who was a faithful, diligent and reliable employee for several years. Despite his numerous prosestations, the Company simply did not want to know, less still, rectify. As a Senior Manager in the Public Sector, his experience has undermined any confidence I might have in considering the Group for contracts.

Lack of Transparency and Poor Franchise Practices

Review:

I joined NIC Services Group (NIC Local) as a franchisee after being assured of transparency, fairness, and consistent support. Unfortunately, the reality fell far short of those representations.

Key aspects of the franchise offer were misrepresented during recruitment — an issue acknowledged by NIC management in 2021, though no meaningful remedy was provided to affected franchisees.

NIC has also operated schemes and charges that lack transparency. One example is the so-called Loyalty Scheme, presented as voluntary but later treated as compulsory in practice, with large annual deductions (around £20,000+ for some franchisees). Despite repeated requests, NIC has not disclosed how these funds are used or who benefits internally.

The company also imposed penalties and breach of contract notices for not conducting “audits”, even though the franchise agreement contained no contractual requirement for franchisees to perform such audits.

Further, the franchise agreement and internal records reveal that NIC receive commissions from supplier contracts — a practice not permitted under the British Franchise Association’s Code of Ethics, which requires full transparency and avoidance of conflicts of interest.

Other issues include:

A £1.25 “pension administration” charge applied per employee regardless of enrolment;
Shifting explanations and inconsistent communication from management;
A general culture of avoiding accountability when challenged on financial or ethical matters.

I raised these issues formally with both NIC management and the BFA. In my view, the problems are systemic, rooted in a lack of transparency, ethical oversight, and respect for franchisees.

NIC employs some good people locally, but at senior level, the culture and conduct do not reflect the standards expected of a BFA-affiliated franchisor.

Advice to Management:

Address conflicts of interest, disclose all internal commission arrangements, refund or justify all scheme deductions, and ensure that franchisees receive clear, accurate information consistent with BFA ethics and contractual law.

The Price of Flawed Justice

After seven years of service as an Area Manager with NIC in Scotland, I feel it is important to share a measured reflection on the impact of working for an organisation that, in my experience, did not uphold the values I had hoped for. Despite years of dedication, the outcome was deeply disappointing — and, regrettably, marked by the tragic loss of a colleague. I write this with respect, both for my own experience and in memory of colleague sorely missed.

Senior management involved with HR malpractice are depriving people of justice and a fair trial by prolonging appeals against a terminally ill man, leading to the case being time-barred. This undermined his case of unfair dismissal and disability. A few months after the ruling, he was deceased, and not to my surprise, NIC management made a call to ensure the news they heard was correct. They didn’t call me directly they are too cowardly for that. Possibly wanted to raise their glasses to celebrate their shallow victory.
Who would act in such a manner that perceive themselves family orientated and team driven 2 of the senior management for NIC did.

I also contacted the C.E.O twice, and of course I was ignored 2 letters later, showing no civility to acknowledge.
I’m sure they will enjoy reading their company review. Their actions are as reprehensible as those of paedophiles. NIC Raping people of justice since 2004.

Prospective employees are advised to approach this company with caution. Multiple managers became involved in hearing and appeals following what appeared to be a manipulated process. Once key decisions had been influenced, the possibility of a fair and impartial hearing was, not attainable. Sheep are easily led.

Don’t except disability and a bunch of bullies

Working for this company for 5 & half years and changed supervisors every 4-6 months, they have recently got a new one that doesn’t understand disabilities and however much I told him I couldn’t see his sheet due to vision and asked for this to be enlarged, he did nothing but be little me and intimidate due to my disabilities, it become a witch hunt against me with staff to get me out, today he decided to give me 2 weeks notice as apparently I’m not doing my job properly with no proof as he would turn up after an hour of me leaving and take photos, so other staff wouldn’t have left that speck of dirt?? This supervisor has let the company down, will be taking things further as job centre have advised too,

I started working for this company on…

I started working for this company on 27th March 2021 on 18 hours contract and 6 days a week EMPLOYEE ID (5670017942). The company pays you on 16th of every month and by 16th April 2021 I was expecting a salary of 20days. However, I was shocked to see that the company only paid me salary of 6 days. This did not make any sense to me. I immediately inquired this from my Manager he said "We will pay you full next month, you will be rich". This was certainly a very dubious statement to me. Anyhow I did a bit of research about the reviews of this company over the Internet and could only find Bad reviews.

It got me more worried when I contacted few of the former employees of this company and the same thing happened to them when they worked for the whole month and never been paid. Upon confirmation I immediately ended my employment as this company has payment strategy based on "BLACKMAILING". I along with former employees will soon launch a formal complaint with citizen bureau till justice is paid.
