I've been a landlord for 11 years and used Newington in between for over 3 years before switching agents, my view, they are not that bad compared to many that I've tried but I wasn't satisfied with them either for many reasons before I switched over 2 years ago. I bumped into some negative comments about them online by chance just yesterday but their reply to the comment made me curious because the main issue on the review/comment was not addressed but only responded to a part of an inventory service issue that the client complained about. If there's one thing I gained while I was with Newington, it is the inventory company called favour, those guys are the ones still doing inventories for all my properties till today. Out of curiosity, I chatted with one of the inventory team this morning to be sure is not them being referred to, but contrary to what you portrayed in your reply to the online reviews a couple of days ago, your company still owes the inventory company payment for 25 properties inventory reports completed and have sent to you, and now they've taken you to small claim court for it. Common guys, you can do better.

Amazing team! Ria and her team - Sanam, Max, Rupert - have all been fantastic in helping to sort out our issues. Hotpoint were terrible and sent a faulty oven and there was a problem getting the oven up to first floor. Sanam organised 2 big blokes to do it late on a Sunday evening. As I went ballistic they kept calm and just got on with it. They kept me informed and went to huge efforts to sort things out. I love these guys! Best lettings agent in London.

Such friendly staff, extremely accommodating, helpful and most importantly, they listen and care.

Newingtons have completely changed my perception of estate agents. I received frequent updates, was able to contact my agent out of hours and had all of my queries answered in a timely manner. Most importantly to me I was able to deal with one agent thought the process of finding and securing my contract!

Staff have always been friendly, helpful and professional. I’ve recently moved out of Marylebone so I was not able to use their services and compared to my current agency, they deserve 100 stars.

We had a fantastic experience buying through Newingtons, in particular Max, having worked in the property industry for a while I found him to be informative and professional throughout. He has gone the extra mile regarding any queries post completion, which really highlights the value of working with a good estate agent. Would recommend to anyone renting in the area.

As expected, efficient sales team that treats you like royalty until you move in. Then your contact point becomes Sanam, who doesn’t even try to service the property and whose favourite mode of communication is unintelligible email rants full of typos. She’s mentioned by name in so many Google reviews that the fact she’s still around shows the management doesn’t care about client service.

In my short time with them they have:
1/ taken over a month to replace an oven that wasn’t working when I moved in;
2/ replaced a shower head with pieces that were already rusty;
3/ left a locksmith bill unpaid (the concierge reached out to me);
4/ been litigious for the deposit only to agree to my terms once it was about to be transferred to the dispute resolution process of the DPS — a move that can only be interpreted as them thinking that they can put you under pressure if you need the money quickly.

By a margin the most unprofessional letting agent I’ve ever encountered. There are plenty of respectable alternatives in the area where they operate.
