Literally the worst company I have ever…
Literally the worst company I have ever had the misfortunate to deal with. The most incompetent staff of all time.
Terrible after sales service
Poor
Poor support, and a really clunky user interface. I switched to GoDaddy and both service and ui and general functionality was just so much better. Plus they support OAuth logins.
24hrs without receiving emails
How do you expect us to run a business when it's been almost 24 hrs without receiving emails? This isn't acceptable. We don't judge a service provider by their outages, we judge them on how quickly they resolve them. Your updates on this outage have been poor and left us all in the dark. A big fail guys!
Shocking service.
Shocking service.
Impossible to cancel the auto-renewal. Labyrinthine, confusing, ultimately impossible.
Don’t touch them.

I was on a chat with them about their registration services and me possibly transferring my domain name across to them, but my questions about their very poor reviews on the Trust pilot site must have gotten to hard for them to answer and they simply cut off the chat. Id avoid them based on my experience and everything ive read.
Don’t use them. Just don’t.…
I ran an account and multiple domains with them for over a decade. An IT issue they experienced cost me income, they refused to pay me for money lost, treated me like a criminal and completely disowned it. They dodged and ignored my correspondence for months then basically called me a liar. Don’t touch them, the reviews are all true. Trust the reviews. Go any else but there.
horrific
horrific. incompetent. buggy. run, don't walk!!!
Having major issues after NetRegistry…
Having major issues after NetRegistry auto renewed my account one month earlier than was the actual 12 month renewal date. The initial fee was $11.95 for a .com.au domain but they’ve charged me $46.95 but never said anything about a one year or two year renewal, and I never clicked on the auto renew function on their website.
Now fighting them for a full refund and plan to take them to the ACCC and Ombudsman for issues relating to their website function, one-month early renewal, lack of information about the auto renew that I supposedly selected, and for the two year renewal which should dave been only one year.
Do not trust this company. They won’t offer a refund, they don’t recognise any fault of their own. My biggest concern is their renewal was one month too early and they think that is ok... wait til the ACCC look into their business behaviours.
I can’t even give them 1 star as they are totally untrustworthy.
Absolutely ZERO customer support
Absolutely ZERO customer support! I needed to know how to split a txt record because their system doesn't handle more than 256 characters - I showed their support the record who were quick to say that this is not how the record is supposed to be split (Very patronising in their tone as well) I asked how they would suggest I split it - NO way! They simply refused to help. I strongly suggest your management take a crash course on client retention! Don't waste your time with this lot!
Don't do it. Save yourself the pain.
I have used NetRegistry for almost a decade. They started off promising, but once MelbourneIT took over their downfall seemed inevitable.
Now, just trying to transfer domains away from them often involve long drawn out support tickets.
Immoral and inethical operators.
Awful. Know your consumer laws. https://www .accc.gov. au/consumers/consumer-rights-guarantees/repair-replace-refund#if-it-s-not-right-use-your-rights
I ordered a domain & was given a back-order. Currently pursuing ACCC guidance. The listing is deceptive. https ://dictionary.cambridge. org/dictionary/english/back-order A back-order is for a product that is temporarily out of stock. If you do not own rights to this domain, you cannot profess to be temporarily out of stock of it.
Netregistry customer experience has so far consisted of refusing to refund after requesting clarification. One day big tech will be regulated to a greater extent than "self-regulation" and this regulation will in turn trickle down to abhorrent operators such as this immoral and inethical governing group of greedy individuals. I wasn't stung for a small amount, but I am sure that some have been.
Failure to handle cancellations in a professional manner
Cancelled a service with Netregistry back in December 2019, and even received an email to confirm this. Almost 1 year later, they are still asking us to pay an invoice for the service we cancelled. They have since failed to acknowledge the cancellation, and are now resorting to Debt collection action! Unbelievable.
This has caused me and my mother much grief over the year, as if there hasn't been enough to deal with already.
Their handling of this, and attitude towards us as a very bitterly dissatisfied customer leaves a lot to be desired.
In a lifetime I would neither consider ever dealing with them again, nor recommend them to anyone.
Unreliable console and useless script support
Zone file editor just fickle. Add/remove record does not add. Log out. Log in. Works.
Log in does not work boots me out but lets me log in with the same pword the next day.
Chat/call support ... with these issues. Then it got worse.
PULL DOWN WEBITE WITH NON NOTIFICATIONS
TOday wake up to website be taken down by netregistry , when I rang them , about issues they said need to pay CPAnel , which I thought have be pay for? They said no, when i
ask then how to the website up running. They said I have to get reactive it will cost $ 150.00 to reactive website + 106 for yearly subscription for CPAnel, so I was not notified about this through phone or email , so I shock you get this,
I was on phone to about ten Phillipines non customers service? Still no solution about what they did today
Even though fully paid, Netregistry drops domains if your email subscription fails!
Because my monthly email charge with Microsoft 365 failed, they took my domain down. So the domain address is paid in advance for 12 months, but if you add email subscription monthly, and it fails, you lose your domain. No one tells you this when adding it. Don't use their email service, it's not worth it.
We have had so many bad experiences…
We have had so many bad experiences with Net Registry. Here is todays:
Today we found that our website had been taken down by Netregistry.
Following numerous telephone calls to Netregistiry and misinformation provided by the out sourced service center, it transpires that the reason Netregistry saw fit to take take our website was because of an overdue payment for an annual website security subscription.
My understanding is that this is an optional service, i.e. it is not a requirement to pay for the annual security subscription.
Why would Netregistry penalize us by taking down our website? This is akin to blackmail and is a very underhanded approach to business. This has caused us considerable inconvenience and expense as no one in our company was able to send or receive emails. We were effectively held hostage by being made to pay for a service which we did not want in order that Netregistry would make our site live again.
I will be taking this further including a formal complaint to the ACCC.
!!!DO NOT USE NETREGISTRY!!
!!!DO NOT USE NETREGISTRY!!! What filth this service has turned into, Uber was great... after the change over to netregistry, it all went to s.h.i.t March 2020, i had no idea my websites werent working until i checked and nothing loaded, ftp connection showed me all files had being deleted, so i upload everything myself to get up and running because these i.d.i.o.t.s didnt know what was broken. Few weeks later websites dont load, cpanel doesnt load, emails dont refresh, then i also find some email accounts have disappeared completely from cpanel. Today September 2020, still no resolution, so finally off to another webhost go.
An avoidance culture when it comes to…
An avoidance culture when it comes to support, looks for ways to divert and delay without really actioning the query. Definiately not a customer service culture, I think they operate on a minimisation of cost culture.
