We spent a long time choosing our Nautilus sailing itinerary, to pick places we wanted to visit and avoid those we had visited before.
On arrival, out the 5 moorings on our trip only one was in the itinerary we booked. We were pre-warned at the time of booking that one mooring would have no water or electricity. Instead we had three with neither water or electricity, and they were on consecutive days. Not having a ‘proper mooring’ meant we had to be called in as early as 1pm as it took so long for 10 boats to be tied together on rocks. So we missed the only time sailing ever occurred ( afternoons). Hours were spent just bobbing around waiting for our turn to be called in every day.
Despite this we still were told which taverna we had to eat in, and were not allowed to choose for ourselves. Group meals were also made compulsory, not all people want to do this.
Our boat had no bedroom fans and were sweltering at night. Speaking to other people on flotillas (with Ionian sailing and sunset sailing) did not have any of the above issues.
Having voiced my complaint to customer services ( Gillian) they offered 5% discount on my next booking!!! I don’t think they had read my letter, especially as I mentioned 2 companies where guests did not have any of the issues we had with Nautilus.
While there we asked why the itinerary was changed so much they said it was because it ‘was so busy’ but as I said non of the other sailing flotillas had any of theirs changed at all. We booked our trip 10 months in advance.

We booked an odysseus flotilla holiday and having never been on a yachting holiday I found that jess and steven were not only great sailors but amazing hosts. I felt at ease,relaxed and confident that whatever happened they would deal with it. And they did have a few challenges with weather and boats which they took in their stride , dealing with it with aplomb and dexterity. Always taking charge when required and saving the day, not only for odysseus yachts but other boats in the harbour selflessly. They are a credit to the company and prized ambassadors. Well done and thankyou for an amazing holiday

Lovely people, and had lots of advice. The resort support was great when the boat broke twice. Unfortunately, I will not be booking again. I have been around boats/owner for over 20 years. The one rule you need to adhere to is maintenance. If boats are not well maintained, the job list will soon mount up. It was a lovely trip. However, as a sailor it was very frustrating to watch others sail you we were not able to for 5 days of the 12 we chartered. I did get a small contribution back (thank you) and some fuel. However, this did not detract from the poor quality of the boat. My fault for not checking the maintenance record. In our case the mast needed to be removed and of course the boat needed to be lifted once we returned to the UK.

The marina at Fethiye is terribly noisy. There is a club just outside the marina that pumps out loud music to the early hours. So an awful start and end to our flotilla week. Also, every night you are captive, moored next to just one restaurant with prices that are about 3 times the usual - and you have no other options. This is not made clear when booking the holiday. Left a very bad taste. And twice the restaurant turned into a noisy party that carried on into the early hours. The leaders Mike and Debbie were brilliant, and very helpful - they did a great job. But I will never do this flotilla again.

Our group of 6 made a bareboat booking with Nautilus Yachting for sailing out of Gocek, Turkey with the yacht provided by E.E.G. The team at Nautilus were excellent from taking our booking to phoning EEG the day before to confirm our transfer to the base. We were kept well informed about payments and other matters, provided with all the information needed and throughout all the staff were friendly and very professional. E.E.G. were the charter company. The boat was new, very well equipped and there were sheets, pillows and towels provided. Our briefing was thorough but delivered in a friendly and informal manner. As we had a long wait at the end of the charter for our flight, Ibrahim arranged for us to spend the day at a small hotel with a big pool for free. All we had to pay for was food and drink. All the hotel staff were also eager to please. Two excellent companies who delivered a great holiday.

We have sailed both North route June (2023), and South route Aug (2022) as part of a flotilla with Odysseus (through Nautilus Yachting). On both occasions we took the 34.9 Jeanneau Sun Oydessy (Paradisos/Pella).

Boat- Fantastically Equipped, very clean, new sails, windscoop included onboard, bluetooth radio connection for music, fans using auxiliary power (a bit noisy), many plug sockets, shower is actually okay, furling mainsail (good for short handed crew) and sails beautifully. Bimini can be only partially pulled back, and spray hood is present, but can be let down completely. Engine top speed around 6.5kts.
Both aft cabins are fine for two average sized adults. Bow
cabin would be better for 1 adult or two children under 8.
We slept in the bow cabin in 2022 and it was a bit cramped and very hot as adults will touch feet.

Staff-
Office staff- professional and efficient
Lead crew - (Skipper Steven H and Host Jessica T ) are EXCEPTIONAL. Don't be deceived by their youth, both are very competent sailors who can advise even the most experienced yachtsperson. They are fantastically supportive when mooring and exiting marina's, giving full guidance via VHF when entering, and always ready to assist as you with lines and positioning the boat. Steven will even act as bow thruster in his dingy in cross winds! New sailors do not fret, these guys have you covered.
Jessica is approachable, helpful, organised and easy going with a sunny disposition. She booked us some brilliant restaurants on the group nights and was a joy to be around.
Steven is a class A** British born/Greek Corfiot raised Skipper. He is a great leader who is also a fully qualified engineer. His vast knowledge of the sea and the weather will keep you safe, ensuring you can relax and enjoy your holiday. He has a calm and kind manner about him, also very approachable with good conversation in both Greek and English.

Route- We preferred the South route due to its scenic nature, and trips across to the mainland.
The Northern route does have more wind between the lighthouses and Erikoussa but there is not as much to look at on that stretch unless you hug the coast, which is obviously less windy.
Tips and Hints
-Bungee cords with hooks always come in handy
- Hooks with suckers to hang things around the boat
- Hook on cup holders for the helmsman....it's a stretch to reach your drink round the massive wheel and the console is awkwardly placed
-Torches
- Frozen 1ltr bottles of water keep the fridge efficient and can be purchased from the supermarket (the local AB one is huge with two levels and much cheaper than the one in Gouvia Marina)
-When you arrive in a taxi do not ask for "Nautilus" ask for "Odysseus" which is LEFT as you come into the marina from the main entrance and all the way around the far side of the marina next to DREAM YACHT WORLDWIDE. Do not let the taxi drop you at the bar with your luggage/children, it's a 10 minute walk in the heat! You can also enter from Gouvia village through the boat yard gates and turn right at the coffee shop (9am opening time). This is the closer entrance, and you can grab a drink while you wait for your boat to be ready, but the taxi cannot drive through so better if you have less to carry.

Ask the crew in advance which over nights stops have shore powerand water and also which places are anchored or moored as this will ensure your trip is smooth running.

We have just had a really wonderful week cruising the islands west of Dubrovnik. Thank you to Kali and Olive for all their help and advice in arranging the booking etc.. When we arrived - the yachts were very well equipped and presented and the marina staff were more than helpful. We had a truly memorable family holiday.

The boat was really clear, in great condition and well looked after. The location was incredible and it was a very run set up, with people on hand if needed. The organisation was great, the team at the base were friendly and supportive. They gave great explanations and everything had been thought of from the extensive first aid kit on the boat to engine maintenance. Although we appreciated the first aid kit most, it was prepared for everything and the bite cream was a life saver with mozzy bites! It's always hard to know everything about a boat you haven't sailed before but, they explained well and were on hand to advise. I have only just got back and am looking to book my next holiday, I think we will continue to use nautilus for all our future holidays.

Bareboat charter in Croatia. Everything went perfectly. The boat was spotless, the support from the local team impeccable.

My family had a great holidays organized by Nautilus. We booked their Fethiye flotila and it was fun, well organized and relaxing. The lead crew was very professional and friendly. The boat was in perfect condition and all equipment worked as expected. We had problem with out flight which was cancelled but Nautilus was very supportive and managed to welcome us when we arrived later than planned even it was election day in Turkey. It was our first time with nautilus and I hope we will book many more times with them.

Many thanks once again to the Nautilus team. They have great insights to the best fleets. Another great bare boat trip to the BVIs. Admin side very straightforwards. Navigare out of Nanny Cay were great. Boat in great shape and check in / out processes were very easy.

My recent charter to Croatia was fantastic. The Kvaerner gulf is a lovely cruising area. Although the weather wasn’t as warm and sunny as usual in Croatia, we had some really good sailing winds and dodged the worst of the showers. The Oceanis 46.1 is a lovely yacht. It sailed really well in the 15 to 20 Knots of wind that we had for much of the week.

I have just come back from sailing in the Sporades, Greece, on a bare boat charter, a 4 year old Sun Odyssey 349. The team at Nautilus provided very helpful comprehensive service before and after I booked, with very useful briefing documents on the area and from their local Fleet Agent, Athenian Yachting. The details on the Sporades cruising area on the website are accurate, and the wind (3rd week of September) was as expected, up to Force 5/6 at times, so some good sailing! A good week's itinerary suggestion on the web site. The optional Asymmetric/ Bloomer sail was almost brand new and all the required ropes and blocks were included. Good fun! I would happily charter from Nautilus again. Only suggestion to add to the FAQs ...A bareboat charter skipper should take latest Pilot book version + gaffer tape, roll of thin line, whipping twine, and silicon spray for the inevitable running fixes that are always required on any bareboat charter. They are a great agent for chartering yachts around the world. Strongly recommended.

We have used Nautilus for all our charters for a number of years and have found them to be extremely professional and responsive to any queries we might have. During the pandemic they agreed to postpone, at the same cost, our 2020 charter to 2021 and then again to 2022.
From our experience they ensure that the local agents and/or boat owners are providing both well found vessels and have accurately described their boats.

We had an fantastic family sailing holiday this summer in Greece (the South Ionian) all organised through Nautilus. This was our first family trip with me at the helm and the Nautilus team advised us from the very start - getting qualified, where to go, when to go, how to keep the children (6,10 & 11) happy, what to take etc etc - it was a huge success, we are just now need to decide when we are going to return next year! Wonderful weeks sailing in the Ionian, magical holiday, beautiful sea's, weather and so much fun on a yacht. Brilliantly managed and supported by Nautilus Yachting Ltd who facilitated it all, founds us a deal and helped well after our week. We will book again!.

Very poor yacht. We weren't expecting such an old boat, however we have had old ones before over our many years of chartering and flotilla. Never before have we had a yacht this dirty, broken and run down.
