I took my car in for new tyres, they broke my spare wheel carrier, twice, both times blamed it on an 'old carrier,'
it was then replaced, they broke it again, a brand new one, by using the wrong tool for the job, which cost me £366 to replace, not once but twice, so costing me over £700 in damages, which they admitted they caused, and have been ignoring me for weeks now after chasing them in person, they can refund at the garage, they cant refund over the phone, online, they just ignore you and the Halfords website is just as bad, as is the customer service I have 2 claims numbers, 28520060 and 28522181, job no 3769015923, dated 07.03.26 car WA17 ZXL, both involve Halfords very bad customer service, outsourced to some poor soul who is reading off a script and does actually nothing to help. there is no way of getting help or a refund for £700 worth of damages done by the Dunstable international tyre Halfords garage, which has left me here, as there is no where else to go.

They took advantage of a single young female.
Booked & paid online for 4 new tyres, got the next day for fitting at 2pm, great service, and fitted earlier than expected
Very unprofessional , they keep my car for an hour and a half with engine on while doing the mot and they don't care about your dash camera , they just pulled it down on the passenger seat with cables with everything. I never see this before wherever i have been. I will never go again in there
Absolutely terrible service in the branch I visited and when I emailed customer services to complain they haven't even got the decency to reply. Shame as I have used Halfords Autocentres many times and always been very pleased with the service.
Update - please do not insult the reviewers intelligence by saying you will "reach out" - this is a blatant lie as even after sending you the further details you requested I still have not heard anything from your "so called" customer care team!!

Place my order on line ,on the 29th April, got my order confirmation all good, on the same day , then on the Monday 1st May got a call from national tyers Dunstableat 14.05pm 55 minutes before my appointment(15.00pm) saying that the tyre's haven't arrived there is nothing they can do , so drove to national tyre's Dunstable as its 5 minutes away from where I live , to be told all we can do is offer a refund , ok I'll accept the refund which will up to 5 working days to hit my account, its not the fault of the fitters at Dunstable national tyre's they have been let down by the shocking service of the tyre suppliers but 5 working day to get my money back is a joke , spoke to customer services they weren't much help either ,
If you can't full fill the order then don't comfim it , getting 55 minutes notice that my tyre's haven't arrived and saying there is nothing we can do , couldn't even offer a substitute tyre's or refund there and then is total unacceptable too , a rating of 1 star is the minimum on here but if I
could rate you with a zero or minus number I would ,
