Please do take your car here unless you want to get scammed out of money. A simple mot turned into paying £700 for things that is not work that amount of money. Very sexist and will scam a woman
You might be thinking that your new tyre fitting will be done at the allocated time you booked , but be prepared to waste at least 2 hours of your day waiting around for what should be a quick job as is done in most other places. My main issue however, is that they offered unsolicited advice advising me that a very expensive part of my car to replace was in a very bad state and about to imminently fail . The part in question had been replaced less than 2 years ago , but i also then got it checked by my mechanic friend who told me that there was nothing wrong with it. Reception are in on the scam and happy to relay these untruths to the poor customer. Lesson learned...avoid at all costs.
Had pre-booked car in at 1130 a.m. for two new tyres and front wheel alignment. I had a lot to do that day coming up on Christmas and allowed 1.5 hrs for the work. I was told when I arrived it would be two hours. I could live with that, but the car was not ready until after 4pm (over 4.5 hours later!). When I drove the car away the tyre pressure warning came on to say the new tyres were over-inflated (3.1 bar v 2.3!). Awful service and will never use this garage again.
Booked online, paid for. Dropped of 15min early before booked time for tyres to be changed. Phoned over and hour later to be told don't have them. Had to call Halfords to get confirmation that they refunded. Not interested in ever using again.

I booked an interim service and MOT for my 4 year old car which has low mileage and is impeccably maintained. Whilst completing the work, the garage managed to damage the bodywork of the bonnet and were oblivious to it. They admitted liability and repaired this. However upon collection of the repaired vehicle the engine warning light came on. The garage was dismissive of this and upon taking the vehicle to another garage for inspection it was diagnosed the vehicle was overfilled with oil causing engine malfunction. Oil that I was charged additional money for at the service. A £200 routine appointment has cost nearly £20,000 of expenses. A hostile call from the branch manager and stonewalling from the organisation leaves me without a functioning vehicle. The case number is: 25115168

Had a burst tyre due to a pothole. Put my car in and the tyre they had was a cheap Avon but I was charged the Princely sum of £272. I could have got a top range tyre fitted elsewhere for less than £200. When i saw other places selling it at £160 i said it seemed a bit excessive. The so called 'Manager' came out all guns blazing shouting in front of other customers 'ye wan me ae take it aff?' Also if i had ordered the same tyre on line in the same place through Halfords it would have been £202 so the wee Manager stuck an extra £70 on??? My wifes car has been in here quite a lot and I know she was paying through the nose for cheap tyres/components. Never will any of my family or friends set foot in this place again. Steer well clear of this place and it's aggresive staff.

Couple of reasons I wont recommend this Garage.
1) Had my daughters car in for MOT, which failed. That in itself is fine, if valid. Garage weren't able to give me a date or price for the work (replacement of front passenger side bearing), but thought it might be a week away. I took the car to another garage for a second opinion. Was nothing wrong with the car they could see, except a little noise from the gearbox. The second garage don't do MOT, so it went to another MOT garage, who passed the car - specifically noting nothing wrong with the front bearing. Now two second opinions, and both agreeing the work didn't need done. Car passed its MOT at this third garage.
Either mechanics are incompetent at National Tyres & Auto care Bearsden, or they wilfully misstated work required. I note though, that when the email came through from Halfords (MOT / Vehicle health check results) - no mention of the bearing needing replaced as necessary or advisory work - just that the car was ready to collect.
2) Although I had booked the car in, my daughter (18) dropped the car off and collected it. The mechanics made her feel uncomfortable - pressing her on whether she could surely hear the fault noise until she agreed. Not a positive experience for her, and poor customer treatment. I wouldn't recommend anyone to use this garage if they don't have a solid mechanical knowledge if this sort of treatment is what to expect.

Absolute cowboys. Did a “full service” on my car and totally missed a snapped coil spring and worn suspension bushes, didn’t refit sump plug properly (resulting in loss of engine oil) didn’t top up screen wash and very likely did none of the other checks they’re supposed to have done. Got a full refund but wouldn’t trust them to count the wheels let alone anything more complex. Avoid at all costs

This is a first time I used National Tyres Bearsden and I will never use them again.I was charged £200 for fitting new cv boot,subsequently found out that this price was too high,that I should pay this for whole cv joint renewal.What is interesting,cv joint was actually damaged but they only changed boot(couldn't be bothered with hassle and bigger job??????),charging me way over and leaving damaged joint in.Consequently, month on,this unresolved issue affected whole driving shaft and resulted in damage to other areas and parts,pricely extensive repairs and putting my life and others in danger on a road.What is interesting,when I came to collect my vehicle and paid for "repairs" they didn't even want to provide me with receipt,claiming that printer broke and pretending they are sending it to my email address(never received,never was sent) and only on my insisting gave me in voice with £75 discount made up applied????I saw two mechanics afterwards and they both told me that price is incorrect and for this money cv joint should have been replaced!!!!!Instead they did as little as possible and sent me on the road with faulty car.Shambolic,unprofessional and very dangerous!Avoid,Avoid,avoid!

I took my car in for two new tyres, they brake the sensor in tyre, mistakes happen, however the manager - Micheal - was not helpful- he was rude and aggressive, after admitting the issue, took 5 days to get it back in, then they send us away with it fixed - only for it not to be !! then they brake the security bolt! Keep the car 3 hours and then tell me I should be grateful for them helping! You guys made the mistakes, now I have had to take 2 days off work. The other man- John,with the glasses was very nice, he should be the manager not hostile Micheal!

I had a very positive experience with Michael and his team today.
I brought my car in for its MOT, as my usual garage had closed down, and I thought I'd give this one a try. They fitted two new shock absorbers to enable me to pass. I felt that the price quoted was fair. I was very happy with the service, and found all the staff to be friendly and straightforward. I plan to come here again for future issues with my car.
