Getting hired through MyNewTerm was pretty seamless compared to other sites

I gave up after I had barely started. I am located in North Devon and wanted to apply for a local part time job as a behaviour mentor as I have lots of experience teaching disruptive students and my private tuition is very thin on the ground at the moment.

Such an application should be a simple process of either emailing or telephoning the local college or school, attending an interview (should my application be successful) then references and CRB checks but no!

In their infinite wisdom many schools and colleges in the Devon and Cornwall area have decided to use this GARBAGE recruiting software. The whole thing stinks of kickbacks and corruption- can’t local schools manage their own recruitment anymore? If they can’t then what faith do they expect us to have in their management? What else are they outsourcing within the school? Who’s bright idea was it to introduce this in Devon and Cornwall, who got paid what for introducing it and which crooks signed it off????

I gave up five minutes into the registration process as it was utterly torturous and I had ZERO faith my personal information would remain safe.

Why on earth should professional bodies such as Schools and Colleges outsource recruitment to third party companies?

Horrendous to fill in & only manages to save small bits of information at a time before crashing and losing all updates.
Spent over 3/4 of a day just trying to get Employment history on, but having uploaded my CV to try allow some autofill it has been split up all over so messing up order and spacing.
Individuals simply do not have days to fil out an application, CVs that have already been diligently created should be permitted as need be on an agreed format.

Totally useless and a waste of my time.

I saw a job on Indeed for a job at a place I’d happily work for previously and was re-routed to my new term.

All good I thought

But of god no

It might work for some.

I up loaded my CV and like a lot of these 3rd party data sorters the result was totally useless. It would have been quicker to input the info myself.

Needless to say with 45 years work experience and countless qualifications it would have taken me all day. Guess what some off us have lives

If it’s AI driven then this shows why one shouldn’t rely on AI at the moment because at best it’s fallible.

Any way I contacted the help desk and got a rather patronising do you need help as if I’m stupid…. Obviously my reply to this was less polite than the initial enquiry.

Bottom line what is corrupt AI driven IT platform is filtering out excellent candidates for jobs they are experienced and qualified for

Seems if you experienced and vastly qualified then the job market is filtering you out and dumbing down the employment supply

Unfortunately, I can’t review the rest of the service because AI gatekeeper doesn’t like me

They’ve done a great job of centralising applications so you only need to enter your main details once.

I’ve used MyNewTerm successfully in the past, but their app is currently blocking my progress. I’m completely stuck in the 'checking your profile' phase because the 'Continue to Personal Statement' button is broken.

There should be a missing mandatory field, but the system completely fails to highlight it, leaving me stranded. The workflow is broken, and many applicants are going to miss critical deadlines because of this.

Truly awful website. If schools are paying for this, they are being scammed. It repeatedly fails to save and then looses information painstakingly entered into an over-complicated and poorly designed user interface. Logs you out unexpectedly despite having selected 'keep me logged in', again causing loss of work in progress. Application has taken at least twice as long as it should have due to constant issues with this awful system.

How is this awful site starting to dominate the market? I am yet again staring at a ‘saving - please wait’ wheel of death. My second ever application and I again look forward to losing what I’ve done and starting again. The interface is clunky and illogical in places. I could write pages on what is wrong with this awful site. We have to use it as schools and academies are clearly saving money. It must be putting candidates off that hate the faff though! If a job is advertised on more than one site, give this one the swerve.

Poor user interface and lack of flexibility. Puts off referees. Many teachers could be employed directly with schools instead of this rubbish site.

If schools wonder why staff don’t apply it’s due to using my new term to recruit.

Wow! What a brilliant experience I have had with this recruitment site! Not only have I found my dream job, it has enabled me to relocate back home after 20 years!
