Me and my friends went to go see a movie on June 2nd. When we got there they wouldn't let us in, because of us not being old enough and not having passport or id to prove our age to the workers, despite being the over the age of 18. I feel that this is racially motivated because of us being dark skinned, even though we saw every white person being let in, while it's obvious they were not the right age for the movie and they had no questions asked.
Tom & Jerry - TERRIBLE - aside from FAR too loud for everyone , even adult , what an awful Movie it was ….. ZERO nice slapstick , 100% violence and general darkness …. Absolutely no thank you …. Should be a 12 with a warning to parents not to waste their money !!
I’m very disappointed with my recent experience. I booked movie tickets for my son’s birthday, but accidentally selected April 3rd instead of April 4th. When we arrived on April 4th, I explained the situation to the manager, but there was no understanding or flexibility at all. We were told to buy new tickets again, despite it being an honest mistake on a special occasion. This lack of empathy and customer care really ruined what was meant to be a happy birthday experience for my son.
The cinemas and surrounding facilities are quite run down and unattractive. The complex is in major need of a refurbishment. The visitor experience is not what it used to be. Compared with other cinemas in the vicinity Movies at Dundrum is not an attractive option.
We went to see a movie over the weekend in screen 3 at the back row. The moment my partner sat down she felt wet in the seat, when we checked it smelled like urine. We never had this happen before but we went out to staff to complain. Their initial response was to swap seats but my partner was fairly wet so we headed home to get cleaned up. When we explained it to the manager he did refund the tickets and give 2 x complementary tickets but the issue wasn’t taken seriously as urine is a biohazard and it’s not acceptable for us to be put in that position. Additionally the staff were discussing the popcorn and drinks and wether to take it off us or not, at that stage we didnt want it but it’s just another part of the issue that happened and it felt real awkward from our side. We did leave the food and drinks as it was the least of our worries at that stage. I won’t be returning anytime soon even with the complementary tickets.
Manager cliff and triple chin wouldn't let me and my friends in because we had no ID even though we were the right age but they wouldn't believe us. The active lads in the square wouldnt have batted an eye
Wouldn't let us in to the fnaf 2 movie and when I asked for a refund the manager said he didn't want to give me a refund and when he finally did they said it would take 2-3 DAYS honestly 1 star rude staff
They would not let me and my mate into a 16 movie when we are 16 and showed them Id and the guy would not give us a refund
Good value for the ticket and food combo but the Tallaght branch had filthy seats and liquid in the cup holders and when I brought it to the attention of staff via social media I was asked why I hadn’t mentioned it to staff in person. I was late for the movie and arrived to a filthy seat nothing could have been done for me at that stage and never mentioned anything about talking to staff about why it hadn’t been done in the first place
We brought our 3 year old grand daughter to Dundrum cinema for the first time.
I picked out 3 seats that suited us and paid €35.50 for our tickets. Plus bought drinks and popcorn on arrival. So expensive. Staff surly.
When we arrived we first used the Ladies. The neglect in there should have forwarned me for what was to come.
The cinema didn't look clean but there was worse to come. One of the seats was filthy and the other seat was damaged. We moved to a free row behind those seats were damaged too. We then moved to a row across the aisle first two seats were dirty so we sat in next three. At this stage the movie was about to start.
However three women came in and of course we were in their seats. They however kindly let us remain in their seats while they sat beside us. May I point out no staff around.
I feel for the price of tickets we just at least expect a clean cinema and seats fit to sit in.
I remember when Dundrum was the envy of all cinemas.
I will not be returning anytime soon.
Screen 11 seats were torn and springs pushing through. The seats were dirty and needed a thorough cleaning. Its a pity to see it in such a neglected state. Not in keeping with the overall Dundrum Centre standards.
Mixed experience. The seats and other interior needs updating, seats are getting threadbare and don't feel clean.
We watched a movie on screen 8. Half of the screen was lit by a far too bright light over the door at the back. Complete fail, I spoke to the manager afterwards and explained the problem. I'll return for an edit if they change this. I would not go for another movie in the same spot as it completely spoiled the experience. I used to love going to Dundrum, it's a nice place to go because you never have the problem of someone too tall in front of you. But I think I'll explore other options closer to where I live.
Could be so good but this place urgently needs a deep clean and new carpets. I’ll be having nightmares about those disgusting carpets for weeks.
Nice comfy seats, clean and warm environment. Sound and screens are good too
Dundrum Cinema - Good cinema, popcorn can sometimes be stale.
Great deal on monday
