The service provided by Move For You Removals was excellent.
At fairly short notice they provided me with a clear quote and confirmation for my house move from London to Derbyshire, including overnight storage of my furniture.
Jenny answered all questions promptly and customer care was excellent.
The removal men turned up on time and kept in communication. They worked very, very hard and were respectful at all times. Soufian in particular was very professional.
I was very happy with the service provided by Move For You Removals and would definitely recommend them, particularly for anyone moving a long distance in UK.

While the moving team on the day worked hard, I am very disappointed with several aspects of this service, especially considering the expensive price. The initial phone assessment assured me the van would be large enough, but this was inaccurate, resulting in a significant number of boxes being left behind. Despite a supervisor and extra personnel arriving, the team was unable to dismantle my bed, which was unacceptable, resulting in the bed being left behind and me having to buy a new one. The supervisor stated he would assist at the new location but never appeared and also asked uncomfortable and inappropriate personal questions, such as questioning if my husband was my son (twice). At the new location, the service was incomplete: furniture was left covered, drawers were not replaced in a chest of drawers (one was damaged), and my son's bed, while in the correct room, was not placed in the right location. I specifically chose this company because I was promised that everything would be left ready in the new place, which was not the case. Instructions on boxes regarding placement were generally ignored.
This fell far short of the promised comprehensive service. Furthermore, I contacted the company to address these issues but have received no response. I would not recommend this service, it's way too expensive for the level of service.

EDIT AFTER REPLY:

As mentioned in my original review, it is an expensive company and I expected a premium service, not a company that would ignore my concerns and only reply to a public review with excuses and accusations. In that sense, I would not recommend their service. Here is my reply to the points raised:

- £690 is a heavy price tag for a moving company, above other recommended moving companies that I should have gone with. A "basic" service is not what I expected nor what was promised in the initial phone call, and my understing was that it only didn't include packaging

- It is true that we didn't finish packaging before the moving date but it is UNTRUE that it caused delays to the move because there was plenty of furniture to be moved and the movers were busy at all times where we finished packaging

- Regarding the bed issue, I would expect a solution from the moving company considering the £690 price tag and the promise to move everything. It's UNTRUE that I refused to take it through the balcony, I explained it wasn't going to fit the lift in the new place and the moving company said it couldn't be taken then.

- It is UNTRUE that I said that the bed belonged to my son because I am not crazy. It was a double bed in a couples room, and I said twice that it didn't belong to my son because he is 5 and there I wasn't speaking to my son on my phone. There was absolutely no reason for the supervisor to ask multiple times who I was speaking to.

Excellent company!! Move For You gave outstanding support from our quote visit, changing our removal dates due to delayed completion many times and move day! We could not have moved without them! This team were absolutely the most stress free part of our moving process from start to finish! I highly recommend! All staff very supportive, kind, knowledgeable and patient!

Move For You helped make sure our house move was as stress-free as possible. Alam provided an accurate quote which meant everything was moved in one go and there was no delay. The team on the day worked extremely hard and were professional. They ensured everything was moved from room to room and were very efficient in dismantling and reassembling some of the bulkier furniture. Big thanks to the team.

Sufyan and team were great. The guys came and packed up everything the day before the move. Move day went really well, and they even picked up the boxes for recycling once we unpacked. Very happy with the service, efficient, trustworthy, and I highly recommend them.

A first rate service, the workforce was very experienced and polite , they carried out their duties has promised and actually made moving a pleasant experience. Mr Mehar who is the consultant came around to help with the move . l would recommend this company to family and friends.

I should have known when one of them turned up the day before driving a private taxi, this wasn't his main job.
They both turned up well over an hour late. They refused to do the dismantle and reassemble service I paid for. They were uncaring about my possessions bordering or rough leaving furniture damaged and scuffed. They discussed how they would handle the move in there native tongue. I had to interupt to make things clear to me so I could help. I was taken aback when halfway through I was told to pay in full now or my belongings would stay in the van! In short give these cowboys a miss.

When the assessor came to my house to give me a quote, I was told in unequivocal terms that the price given was for the whole day of the move.

He was categoric that they didn't charge any late or waiting fees on the day of the move itself.

So he was either misinformed or telling me barefaced lies because on the day, as the afternoon stretched on and we're still waiting for the keys, I get called and they hit me with more than £400 of late charges.

It's impossible to plead your case when they have all your worldly possessions in the back of their vans. And they know that.

We recently moved to Brighton, combining two households into one, from two different locations. The team were outstanding. Everything happened when they said it would and the whole process of shifting house was made that much less stressful by the friendly team who couldn't be more helpful, from first telephone contact to when the vans drove away in Brighton. I have already recommended move for you to friends who are about to move house and I would have no hesitation in contacting them again.

This was without a doubt the worst removal company I have had the misfortune to experience. Yes they are “professional” in gaining your trust for your business, but unfortunately they are anything but in executing their service. Underestimated the workload, ran significantly over the estimated time, packed most items with black polythene sheeting, dismantled so many things to fit into their Luton vans, (which were probably hired), damaged many of our possessions and in the end failed to complete the agreement necessitating the hire of an alternative company to finish the job. In addition to all this, members of their staff were insulting, sarcastic and abusive. I found them to be mercenary and untrustworthy and would not recommend them to anyone. I finished up paying a higher price than that originally agreed for a service that was incomplete and most unsatisfactory. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Also suggest you treat any favourable reviews with the utmost caution!

BEWARE! I would urge people NOT TO USE the above Company. I can simply describe them as amateurs. Also please note that they do not belong to BRA British Removal Association. A brief description of the company in question and its staff. Unprofessional, inexperienced, careless, rude, abusive and dishonest. Due to their bad handling most items of our furniture have been damaged, as has a wall in our old property. Some of their staff were abusive and threatened us a number of times to unload their vans on our driveway. They came to do their work without any tools whatsoever, underestimated the amount of work and did not provide the amount of people they promised us. Furthermore, no one was wearing a Company T/shirt, no logo on their vans, and there was no protection from Covid during the two days from any of their staff.
The Company has shown itself to be dishonest, in addition to not accepting any responsibility when complaints were raised to try and resolve matters.
To conclude, if you are looking for a professional, reliable Company to move you, then clearly “Move For You” is definitely not for you!!
To rate this Company, I am afraid my rating would only be ZERO stars but as there is no ZERO rating, I will have to just give them one star.
