We brought the Richardson from mega 10 they had a shed they said was different model but the same build quality in their yard at New Plymouth , it wasn’t the shed we got, the shed was flimsy with no quality check , the picks show where nails have missed the wood on a number of panels the wood had knots the took up 100% of the radius pictured and cracked , the cladding was cracked in places due to being so thin ,there were square drive screws mixed in with the pozi drive screws and the delivery was shocking we were mucked about by mega10 they held it up for a month saying someone needs to be on site to sign for it then the truck was in getting a COF, the driver was sick they also booked it for delivery when Taranaki’s anniversary was on , they don’t deliver then, finally they delivered without a person there telling us no sig needed. It isn’t the putting right that counts it’s the getting right from the start that matters, I hate time wasters and that’s what this offers.

I make a regular Sunday visit to Mitre10 Mega Store, usually needing something from the Garden Department while inevitably finding useful bargains elsewhere in the store - and never leaving without a coffee and cheese scone! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the atmosphere is welcoming. My cat loves his Sunday drive (Cat cage secured by seatbelt!) and enjoys a sample of cheese scone!

Was in Mt Wellington Mitre10. The products was out of stock but quite lucky because it’s arrived when I was still in the shop. Staff runs to me and bring 3 bags from the warehouse straight away. That is awesome and appreciate. Great service!

Sick to death of dealing with this bunch of completely incompetent unhelpful and antagonising humans.
We bought a kitchen cabinet back in August. They wouldn't order until fully paid for so paid and was let know it should be available 6 weeks later. Rang after 6 weeks to find it hadn't even been ordered and were asked " oh, did you still want it, I haven't ordered it yet" yes dude, that's why we paid you in full 6 weeks ago. 6 weeks later, get a text it has arrived. Went to pick up, waited for 20 minutes for someone to even talk to us just to have absolutely no one in the entire store know what we were even talking about. Left before I said something I'd regret.
Went back a week later, again, was purposely ignored by all staff ( and there are a lot of staff, chatting to each other and ignoring customers) again for 20 mins. Then again, took another 20minutes to find anyone who knew about a kitchen or where it was. Eventually found the boxes just to find that they had stickers posted all over them saying "do not release, not paid for" so after another 20 mins waiting while someone looked it up we were finally allowed to take our purchase.
We have just spent the last week putting it together only to find that there are parts missing and other parts that just broke as soon as you tried to screw them together.
Back to Mitre 10 this morning to replace parts and retrieve the parts that are missing only to be told again that no one, not one of the useless incompetent lazy and unhelpful people know anything about it. "The kitchen guy doesn't work Saturdays" and absolutely no one even tried to assist!
DONT BUY KITCHENS FROM THESE INCOMPETENT USELESS LAZY BUNCH OF HUMANS WITH ONE BRAIN CELL BETWEEN THEM ALL.

Wanted to buy something that was sold out in most places in my region. Contacted H/O to see where had stock and contacted that store and local store in an e-mail to ask if they could help me buy the product from out of town. Wanted to pay with vouchers and eftpos though.
Got an e-mail back in less than 24 hours from the lovely Danielle in Wanaka store who helped by taking vouchers detail over the phone and then eftpos card payment of the balance, arranging for shipping of goods to me. All very quick, easy and very friendly and helpful.
Then I got a call from ChCh branch minutes later to enquire if I had any response from the out of town store as he was prepared to help sort this purchase out between store for me. I advised it was all sorted.
Very impressed with the level of help and service, and with the fact I get the item I really wanted.

I've been going to Mitre10 New Lynn for years and now it's reached the point where I'm going to avoid the place like the plague. Online, they don't show everything that's instore. I've lost count of how many times I haven't found what I've wanted and gone to the opposition. Bunnings is the place for me now. Mitre10, you really need to up your game to keep your customers

I love New Zealand and the New Zealanders so I hate writing this about one of their companies. Bought a number 8 smoker from the Whangarei mega store just over a week ago so that I could take it with me round New Zealand and smoke some of my catch. A few days ago, I went to use the product after preparing my catch. Whoever had made this product really didn't care a jot, they had spot welded the base on a sloping angle so it was impossible to use. Totally frustrated as the fish were unusable so had to be binned. I tried to contact the store, no one picked up, tried 2 phones about 30-40 times, no answer. Line would ring, then cut. So I sent an email, guess what? No answer from them! I am waiting to leave the Coromandel (trapped at the minute by slips but great place to be trapped!). I'll drop in at the first place I can and get my money back. I'll buy from a reputable place.

Shocking customer service. They offer an online “service”, but they deliver from one branch only. And cancel off items that store doesn’t have. And don’t tell you. So you could wait weeks and pay multiple deliveries. I’m not on holiday in February. Thanks for nothing. Manukau don’t answer the phone and no other branch can help. A bunch of selfish independent traders masquerading under one banner.

I was served by a wonderful gentleman (Ross) from the timber cutting section at the Botany branch. He did his best to accommodate my request. Thank you Ross and your staff. Merry Christmas and God bless you all and your families.

my wife sold not needed products. Sold paint, rust proofing for galvanised steel and primer and paint for small rusted cheap metal throw away rusted table, said staff knowledgeable.......

Drove all the way to Botany to pick up an outdoor cusion storage box but when I opened the carton at home it was badly damaged on obe corner. So now I have to drive all the way back to return it because they do not believe it's their responsibility to deliver a replacement. That was after I had to return a damaged-out-of-the-box outdoor dining set that I bought just 2 days ago, but at least the Takanini store offered to deliver a replacement ... good on them. Really difficult to find staff to help in Botany though, and none of them are too helpful when you do find one. Maybe the Botany staff are too busy standing around in groups chit-chatting with each other?

I went Mitre 10 Albany to pick up my online order and was going to do my first shopping in that store. while I was in their seeds section choosing some seeds, A staff member was coming towards me and said there was a surveillance security camera installed there, "don't steal the seeds "and went on "there $ 400 -500 worth seeds were stolen each week." I wonder if this kind of behaviour is the staff's daily routine or it's company's policy to tell the shoppers where the security cameras are and warn them don't steal the goods. While I was unloading the 4 bags vege mix I ordered into my car boot I found that one of them was patched with duct tape and still had a tear. I went back to the store to ask if I could get this damaged one swapped. They were not willing to help. There more than four staff members would rather stand around customer cservice counter than show me where the product's located when they were not busy at all. I was treated as a shoplifter there. Mitre 10 Albany were selling damaged goods without noticing customers. Worst shopping experience ever.

Kendall at the paint counter was exceptional.
She couldn’t help enough, nice smile, great personality.

Blatant discrimination from the owner at Thames Mitre Ten who barred my entry due to my disability. Disgusting behavior in this day and age.

Outdoor table timber has split twisted warped and glue joins split in less than three months. Mitre 10 wont replace as they state the damage was caused from being outside, should have been covered all the time and oil has evaporated in that 2 and a half months. Comment from Rick Singh.... if you cant look after it you shouldn't buy it . Seems to be the level if service and quality of product from @mitre10 now. Only option now is a legal one. #ReadtheConsumerGuaranteesAct

How far they have fallen (Botany).
A lot of ticket pricing missing. Finding a staff member nearly every time just to find out the cost of a product is ridiculous.
Customer service now very poor.
Garden Centre, every aisle you go down is blocked by a loaded trolley & again no pricing on a lot of products (gave up).
Used to be a very helpful person in the paint department who hasn't been there for sometime, the person I spoke to yesterday lack of knowledge was just woeful.
Lost a very valuable customer who used to highly recommend this store.

I bought a $18000 kitchen last December and if i got half that deposit in by a certain date id have the kitchen by Christmas and after ringing got nothing till after the new year but today 1-02-2022 and im still waiting and have herd all kinds why its not ready,if you cant supply or dont have it why advertise,I would not ever do this again nor should anybody else,manger after speaking to him didnt really care one bit.

Our most recent experience is worth mentioning. We had already purchased a couple of planters but where interested in purchasing more.
Pam and Reuben went above and beyond in order to locate three planters of the same style that where still on the inventory but had to be located first. We received a personal text from Reuben once he had located one of the planters. The next day Pam spent about 30 minutes until she had found all three planters. Two of them were well hidden in a plant display. It was due to Pam's efforts and experience (and her 'eagle eyes') that the three containers could be located. She then helped us check the items out and load the car. We love Mitre 10, and it is committed people like Pam and Reuben who make Mitre 10 shopping such an efficient and positive experience.

Just purchased 2 large garden ornaments from Mitre10 Mega at The Valley, New Plymouth. Don't usually write reviews but these guys deserve a shout out. So helpful, so obliging, thanks to Karen in the Garden Centre and Simon who delivered to me. First class service, nothing was a problem.
