This company has gone down hill massively in the last 6 months.

Poor service and very expensive
They can’t be bothered replying to emails

I needed to add something to an online order as I wanted to rationalise postage costs. Basically I forgot to order it and wanted to add it the next morning. Not only did I get through to the sales department immediately, who dealt with my order addition and added it to my online order without additional postage costs (and were so pleasant) - I also got a phone call in response to the email I had sent the previous day (about 10 minutes after I placed the order). It is rare that online ordering and old fashioned customer service are married together so well.

I purchased a SUP leash on the 7t of March 22. I used the board about 6 times over the summer, but it was only on the 6th time that I used it in 2-3 foot surf, and the leash broke. I reported this on the 18th of November understanding that 7 months had passed but as the item had just broken with minimal use, I requested a replacement. I then chased up on the 27th of November and again on the 6th of December. I also left 2 voice messages in this time but there was no response until the message on the 6th of December advising me that as so much time had passed there would be no replacement. So my experience is that the product was of terrible quality, the follow up service was no better, unfortunately I cant leave feedback on ebay after 60 days it seems.
This is a buyers market, I suggest you spend your money where you get better quality and customer service that this

Do customers really mean anything?
After trading with this company for over 20 years I received a phone call yesterday from the head office. Apparently I have not purchased anything from this company within the last 12 months and if I do not do so before the end of December my trade account will be deleted from their new system. I asked what my last purchase was and the assistant informed me it was a Morso squirrel fire with a back boiler and a clarifier of which totalled to the cost of just under £1500 as a trade customer. I did ask the assistant if customers who occasionally spend large sums of money mattered to them? Obviously not as I am now no longer a trade member of Midland Chandlers. Shame on you!

A month after my order they tried to call me and left a message to say they can't deliver the item (without giving me a proper reason) so they initiate a refund.

So one: it took you a month? really??
and two: I'm pretty sure you need my approval to initiate a refund

Ordered 2 bottles of Paraflu coolant for my Alfa. Literally half the price of anywhere online. Arrived today as promised, excellent packaging, spot on. Would use a gain no problem.

Shameful contempt for their customers.
I paid £51 for a boat hook. Imagine my surprise when I opened the packaging to discover they had cut off the chrome tip with a hacksaw to get it to fit in the posting tube.
This is clearly the arrogance with which they view paying customers.

Good delivery, but product was faulty on arrival. Poor service to rectify the issue.

i bought a the Thetford Triplex Oven and Grill from these people, when i got home we realized it was damaged,
i contacted customer services via email, Samantha was very helpful and arranged a replacement.
i did have to wait a week but that's because there was no stock.

Purchased a glass hob cover from this company, 50% cheaper than any other retailer and fast delivery within 2 days, also excellent packaging. Would recommend.

Wouldn't use this company again for any caravan or boat needs.

Purchased a Thetford duplex oven - the first one came without the gas pipe connected to the grill (how this left the manufacturer in stage I have no idea, it also looked like it had been poorly insulated). They replaced this oven no problems. I then got a second oven where the piezo did not work and the flame would not stay on.

After a lot of backwards and forwards I have taken it to trading standards as neither midlands chandlers or Thetford were forthcoming in trying to get it fixed. In the end I managed to solve the problem myself but the customer service was poor.

Really pleased with the service I got when phoning customer service. Fast delivery and a good price.

hi im karen i came to this shoopid store and i was with my husby ( who is not LGbtq (no offence to anyone)) and i was looking at some of the things in the store so no one especially this person would not of seen . then i heard someone say very screecheely HI IM MATT the MANGEGER and then the convorstatshon went likie thisss ....... do you want to buy a 2 meter stiRpper pole (this was to my husby) my hub said yes (as a joke) then he said that perso matt i think your cute to my hubbyoes so my husbyand took it and when i measured it it it it it it tit titititititrttiiiit and it was 1 mm shorter than 2 meters plus it was A BOAT POLE NOT A STRIPPER POWL , my husband is 19 and criplled and old so now he is in hospital because of the POLE I WANT TO SUSAN THE BALD WALRUS lets all say BRING BACK BRIAN WITH HAIR SERIOUS NOTE, THE STORE IS APPALLING AND DIRTY. Amazing service and price. I placed my order yesterday at 11.00 am, it arrived today at 10.00 AM !
The cost too (boat cooker) was at least £20 less than the next nearest on price . I would certainly reccomend this company !
