The office staff were very helpful, understanding and positive and were really good at keeping me informed.The operatives themselves have been very reliable, sensitive and thoughtful on each visit, whatever they faced and completed the clean very professionally and with the complete trust of the client.Definitely recommended.

Team of cleaners arrived on time. They were professional and apart from the hoover, I wouldn't have known they were there. Very impressed with quality of clean and would recommend to anyone. Have just emailed company to see if I can have same team on a monthly basis. Excellent price

Very happy with the service we have had for our regylar cleaning, we have the same cleaning team visit which makes it a delight as we have rrally got to know each other and i like the company each fortnight especially during the times of not being able to have family visit.

Booked Mels Cleaning to come in October, they cancelled on me twice, the second time telling me they no longer have a cleaner in my area. They make you pay up front so they had £55 off me. I’m still waiting for the refund on 20/01, despite numerous weekly chases. They said they couldn’t find my payment, I had to give them proof that I’d paid.

Really unimpressed, would not recommend.

The girls worked like Trojans, a delight having their energy and expertise in our home. They did an outstanding job efficiently and pleasantly, they were incredibly thorough.
The deep clean was a treat which we will be repeating on a regular basis.

What a fantastic family run business .From the minute I phoned to discuss my needs I was given excellent advice and guidance by Abi. I immediately knew I had chosen the right people. I have to give a special mention to the cleaning team who undertook the actual cleaning of my property . Missy led her team of Saniya , Dee , Rita in a very professional manner ensuring all activities were completed to the highest standards. These ladies are a credit to the business.

These guys did a deep clean on my parents house and I booked a 12 hour clean which they did over two days with two cleaners. The difference was incredible and my parents returned from their holiday to a surprise and were absolutely astounded at the difference. A great service and professional and careful. Brilliant

Sending the email to Mel's Cleaning was one of the hardest things I've ever done. Over the years, and for a couple of reasons, my 'bit of mess' had become a house of overwhelming clutter and - for want of a better word - filth, and I needed help.

Abi's reply to the email was caring, understanding and sympathetic. This kindness was echoed in the follow up telephone conversation. At the end of that conversation I knew I'd chosen the best firm to help me turn things around.

Missy and her team genuinely changed my life on the two days of the clean. They didn't judge me, they came in with a plan, and boy did they carry it out. As well as being quick and thorough, they understood my emotions with the task that was being undertaken. They were lovely. In addition to the 'big clean' they worked with me to go through clothes, books and 'stuff' to limit the chances of things becoming overwhelming again.

Sitting in my house today, it's hard to believe it's the same house that it was before the extreme clean. I took the decision to use Missy's team for ongoing fortnightly cleaning; specifically with the instruction that if they could see me slipping into old habits they'd help me get back on top of things.

Thankfully things are continuing to go well, and the regular cleans are the motivation I need to keep on top of things.

To summarise, if you're reading this because you are feeling overwhelmed by your home and are considering an 'Extreme Clean', I'd wholeheartedly recommend it. The kindness and understanding I had from everyone I dealt with at Mel's Cleaning made the process smoother and easier than I thought possible. They have changed my life.

The only reason that i opted for 4 stars today was just on the cost as i found it to be slightly more than competitors but in that sense you get what it is you pay for. The cleaners were absoluely fantastic, my end of lease cgheck out was completed with no concerns raised my my agency and to be fair i hadnt been the best at looking after my apartment while i was there. Very pleased with both the customer service and the cleaning standards. I would use again if i am ever based back in the UK without any hesitation

Mels were on top of my requirements right from 1st contact. After a lockdown with no visitors and MH issues my home was cluttered and I wouldn’t let anyone visit. Anything horizontal had items on it. Even my dog couldn’t walk around the home directly; having to take routes around items. I sent photos in, got a quote and the 2 ladies turned up all ready to go. Very professional, non-judgmental and ever so positive.. So efficient that they had time left over and also sorted out my bedroom/ensuite and family bathroom. Mels aren’t the cheapest but well worth the extra cost. If you pay peanuts you get monkeys. I had the skills of 2 very hard working ladies and my house is gleaming.

Wonderful helpful staff, the cleaning service given was gthorough and the team of young ladies that came for me were very helpful and even made the time to help me get better organised and its really helped make things easier for me at home as i have some mobility issues. they were very very good and i was very impressed with the time and effort they put it, they workeed really hard the whole time that they were with me and they had everything they needed too which made the session better as i dont have too much myself. i really liked everything about using them

I was really happy with the whole experience! From the friendly staff on the phone who were knowledgeable and really helpful. I felt like they genuinely cared about my situation and wanted to help me. The cleaners arrived on time and they did an amazing job. They worked really hard the whole time they were here, and they took the time to make sure I was happy with everything before they left. I won't hesitate to use Mel's again. Thank you!

I’m giving this company one star as the review doesn’t allow for zero stars.
This is the worst level of service I can remember in living memory. Do not deal with this company. Note that they respond automatically to favourable reviews but of the many scathing reviews they will ignore or respond with zero apologies or explanation and either blame the customer or their employee/cleaner.
I booked this company for an end of tenancy clean ie time sensitive to fit around an extremely busy weekend. The terms agreed were two cleaners for four hours. I know this industry well enough that having two cleaners is fairly vital for a reasonable service. On the day when no one turned up at the agreed time, there is zero point of contact for the customer…. Nothing. Eventually one person arrived TWO hours late from a cab with no sense of where he was or how he would return home (to his home which must be at least an hour’s cab trip back). He asked me as the customer for a cab number. This gives you a small indication of the professional on offer from Mel’s Cleaning.
As my day was planned around a four hours clean ending by mid afternoon, having one cleaner turn up two hours late, did not allow us to even check his clean at his finishing time. So I have no idea how long he actually spent (if it was close to the already paid 8 hours). Equally the completion form for me to sign at the end of the clean has still never been sent to me a full week later.
The company didn’t reply to any email or voicemail over that weekend and after several calls/emails during the following week from me, they could not even identify the name of the cleaner that attended until the FRIDAY, all through which they offered no apology.
Avoid these crooks as they are in breach of all basic consumer rights and even worse they don’t care. Once you have made a payment you fall off their radar. There is a reason this company take full payment up front compared to a deposit. It must be the only reason they still exist.

This is one of the worst services I have ever used.

We started our contract in August for a 2 weekly clean. The first clean was fantastic? Arrived on time abs did a great job. Since then the cleaning team have never arrived on the date and time they were supposed to. I would often not even get a call to tell me or if I did it would be a good hour after they were meant to arrive.
Then they took money from my account when I have not had a clean!!
I requested a new tram who would arrive when they were suppose too.. low and behold they are now 45mins late - no calm to tell me.
I’ve called them and no one can tell me what is happening. Absolute joke of a company. Needless to say the contract will be cancelled.

Very professional and efficient service right through from booking to the house being cleaned. The two cleaners did a super job on cleaning the whole house top to bottom prior to myself putting house up for sale, they completed house an hour early and no sooner had I called the office and sent my bank details, the refund was in my account. Would definitely recommend.

Turned up 3 hours late, with no updates throughout. I had to chase them constantly to find out what was going on and why the cleaners I had booked were so late on the day. I would stay well clear of this company, as they’re overpriced and their customer service is shocking.
