I ordered a custom paint by number of a horse landscape. They have the entire brown horse along with his blue blanket and green trees all being painted black. If I follow them I'll have black blobs everywhere. They do not reply to emails for weeks and when they do they just say no returns....no matter that it's a faulty product on their end. They are very rude and they do not care.

I took a risk and ordered from this company despite seeing some negative reviews and was very pleasantly surprised!
I've now ordered on 3 separate occasions throughout the year and every time there has been clear email communication and the kits are great quality.
Will definitely continue to buy the kits.

Ordered a custom paint by numbers of the cover of my fiance's debut novel to paint as a gift for his book launch. Of course this took months to arrive. That's fine. But they messed up his name in the final product and told me to freehand the letter missed? There is a reason why I ordered a paint by number and didn't just paint the cover myself. I have severe arthritis and can't do stuff like that without messing up. Just wish the canvas was checked over before they sent this especially if it's a known problem for their software to miss this stuff. Had high hopes for this company.

Although I've bought a good number of their paintings and been happy with them they are not an honest bunch in my view. I ordered in April a "custom" painting which was advertised to have an extra set of paints, after 12 weeks the painting finally arrived to find just one set of paints, on looking at their website it stated exactly what I had seen, an extra set of paints, on mailing them to say I had only received one set they responded by telling me I was mistaken, on looking at their site just a few hours later, it had been changed to state you could order and buy extra paints. Its a shame that they can lie when at the end of the day they do have a decent product....new buyers be aware, I see that other complainers on Trustpilot have said they expect this lot to erase anything derogatory to their business. My very first purchase I learned that you need a second set of paints as they give you this nonsense that the paints are all computerised in adequate amounts to complete your picture, my first picture and
buying only one set of paints I found that I ran out of a good number of colours, some were only half full small pots whereas just a few colours were hardly used and the pots for those were full to the top with a lot of wastage, so much for their clever computer working it all out. This UK lot are not very honest with their customers, I wonder what the USA lot are like and are they aware of so many angry complaints on Trustpilot??

I gave them the benefit of the doubt being a family business company.
Don't do it for the live of humans.
Don't get trapped.

They delete bad reviews so my review won't make it to their site.

Firstly, they state on their site the delivery is 1-3 days.
In fact this is a US company and delivery is 3 weeks at least.

The painting I received cuts off 20% of the original picture (Van Gogh's Starry Night).
Also, the color match is terrible - I've just been mixing my own paints to get a vague resemblance to the correct colours.

And finally, the detail is far too simplistic for an adult PBN kit. Many areas are just huge blobs of color. The example pictures on the website do not reflect the actual cancases you receive.

Exceptionally bad YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

OMG! So impressed with this company! They picked and sent me the wrong paint by numbers kit. I received the shipment Sunday afternoon, saw the painting was the wrong one, sent them an email. They responded Monday morning and by 10:00am they had the correct kit shipped! FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE!! And the quality of the kits are awesome and so much fun!!

Beware of this company!! Horrible service and products! They delete negative reviews on their site which is why people come here. Scroll past the spamming of good reviews that have popped up for this month to see the real reviews! For a long time this site was at 2 stars. Many in my paint by numbers group have had problems with this company. There are those that also like it. It's a 50/50 chance of if you get the good or bad.
(Also in the post below I'm in that PBN groups and many were sharing their bad experiences. They're not making up their bad experience just because someone had a good experience)

I belong to a Facebook paint by numbers group and somebody posted about Masterpiece today and referenced this review website. I have always had a great experience with MBN and could not understand how the experience that I had was so different from the lady who was complaining in the group. Lots of other people spoke up for MBN , too. I think the bad reviews on here look really suspicious. You can look on the MBN social media and see hundreds of actual customers say glowing things about this company. There is no way that could be made up. They are family owned and I think they are great. Some people complain about everything, but most of the people in my group love MBN and I do too!

I was nervous to order from here considering the reviews, but Masterpiece by Numbers exceeded my expectations! Very pleased with the quality and shipping time. My painting, "Quiet Time", turned out beautiful! Will definitely order from here again.

Masterpiece by Numbers is the best company to buy paint by numbers from. They are definitely the most detailed paintings and I like that they pay royalties to the artists for their licensed paintings.

I LOVE Masterpiece by Numbers kits. The new frames are awesome and they always have a great selection from new artists. I also love that they license all of their paintings. I recently found out that most of the other PBN websites use stolen copyrighted images and don't pay royalties for them. The customer support is great with MBN.

Masterpiece by Numbers is the only company I will buy paint by number kits from. I’ve been buying kits from them for years and have always been very pleased. I sing their praises to my friends and family and I know of many other happy, repeat customers in my Facebook groups who are always recommending them. Their custom kits are hands down the best in the business. Compared to other companies, their shipping is super quick. The kits are detailed and very high quality. When complete, you have a painting that you’re proud to hang on your wall. I’ve never had an issue with my purchase but have reached out to their customer service team by phone and by email with “how to” or availability questions and unlike other companies, they always respond. They’re polite and courteous. I can’t recommend them more, you can definitely buy with confidence from this company.

I don't understand these reviews. I have been a customer of MBN for years and have never had an issue. This seems like a forum for disgruntled people to leave reviews when they don't get their way. It is easy enough to look on their Facebook page or on their own website to see actual customers with photos. All of those cannot be wrong. I guess you can't please everyone, but Masterpiece by Numbers has great quality, value, and customer service.

Had a problem with an order due to the item not matching the description. Really rude response and no help given. I would not use again.

Their PBN are ok, similer but more expensive than other companies. However i bought a custim PBN and the colours are very far removed for the colours in the photograph I sent to them. No option to resend or return Their customer service is very poor.

Very bad colour match. Received a custom made painting as a gift and the awful colour match actually made me both laugh and cry. Really wish my young son hadn't spent £50 to buy me the painting, a complete waste of money. Contacted customer service but they wont give a refund despite the really bad quality of the product.
