Marketlyne Real Estate leads

So Jarod reached out to me, offering me referrals for real estate . The deal is 399 one time and then you get only a 15% referral fee charged to you, but if you sign up today, it’s an 8% referral fee. It seems too good to be true. I decided to go along with it and search the company you could find zero things about this company.-when I told him that he said it’s because they don’t have any negative reviews. I had him send me the contract. When the contract came to my email, I got a notification from my email that this domain has just recently been set up. I asked him how long the company has been a business he said two years. I told him that my email was giving me a warning that this could be a fraudulent company. He told me that that’s just because they’re using a different server to go through. For 399 I figured why not I’ll give it a shot, and see if I get scammed. I then entered my credit card details and my AMEX alert alerted me to Fraud. I told him that this was happening and he said that sometimes that happens when you try to use your card. Use a different card. I said this doesn’t happen when I buy something at Walmart. He then decided to condescendingly explain to me that when you purchased things online, it’s not the same as purchasing something in the store and sometimes fraud alerts get triggered. I then said to him there is no way that I am going to go with you. I don’t want anything to do with this. I am not comfortable with this. You can cancel my contract and I hung up. Right after I hung up, I called the customer service number that’s listed at the bottom of their webpage and low and behold who answered? Jared . I said are you the only person that works here seems like I’m calling Customer Service and yet you’re the one answering the line. He said, that since he’s my account manager, everything is routed to him. I told him I wanted my account canceled that there was no way I was doing this. It feels too scamming to me. He then responded with well. I haven’t made a payment so why would there be a contract? He’s already put the contract into the cancellation department.
I called the credit card company to find out that the charge was pending, so I told them that I needed to file a dispute once the pending charge was completed. I then emailed both the support email to this company as well as the on boarding email and let them both know that I would be disputing the charge that everything felt a little too scammy to me , and said I’m pretty sure that this is all going to Jarod since you’re the only person that works here. They emailed back and told me they were gonna go ahead and refund my charges. This was within 10 minutes behind you. Then began the phone calls from Jarod.
He called me to let me know that his HR department had alerted him that I had a problem with the situation that I wanted to cancel and he wanted to let me know that we were canceling it and there wouldn’t be any further obligation on my part.
Then two minutes later, he called back to ask me if I had filed a dispute with my bank. I told him I had called to file a dispute with my bank, but since the charges are pending, I couldn’t do it yet, but if they were going to refund it, then there would be no need for a dispute since the money was coming back. He asked me again, so have you filed a dispute, and I said no I can’t file it and tell the charges aren’t pending but if you’re refunding it, there won’t be a dispute..
Two minutes later, he called me back again. He said my finance department has made me aware that there is a pending dispute on this and that we’re refunding this so could you please call your bank and remove the pending dispute?
I called my bank. They said the money had already been refunded, and I asked them if the merchant could see a pending dispute on a charge that hadn’t even cleared yet.— of course the bank told me no. They did confirm that the refund had already been processed.
This is all taken place with 45 minutes from the time that I placed the order and then decided to cancel it.
Then I get a text from him— I just wanna make sure you remove the disputed charges on this, we’ve gone ahead and we refunded your money. I just wanna make sure you’ve taken the dispute off.

So - it seems strange that no matter what number or email you contact - it’s all Jared. Also, in what world can you cancel a contract and get a full refund in less than an hour ? Also, and the most obvious, there are no referral services that are charging a one time $400 fee and only making you pay an 8% in Real Estate .
Super sketchy all around .

Hi Melissa, we truly appreciate you sharing your thoughts, and we want to respond with full transparency because the complete picture matters, not just for you but for any realtor reading this.
We do want to gently point out that you were never actually a client with us. You received no leads, were never onboarded, and did not experience our service at any point. We say this respectfully, because reviewing a company's services does require having actually experienced them. What you've shared reflects a signup process that made you uneasy, and we understand that completely, but it does not speak to the service itself or the results our current clients are seeing.

On our online presence, we are a newer and growing brand. Not having an extensive review history simply means we are earlier in our journey. Every company that exists today started from exactly the same place.

On the domain warning, our contracts are sent through third party platforms which can cause certain email clients to flag the sender domain as new. This is well known technical behavior and has nothing to do with legitimacy. Many completely reputable businesses operate through the same infrastructure.

On the card fraud alert, this genuinely happens when a card is used with a newer merchant account for the first time. The card issuer flags it automatically as a precaution, not because anything improper is happening on our end. A quick call to your card issuer to confirm the charge is all it takes and it clears right away.

On Jared being your point of contact across every channel, that is fully intentional. We assign dedicated account managers to specific regions so every realtor partner has one consistent person who knows their market, their goals, and their account inside and out. No bouncing between departments, no gaps. When you reached our support line and Jared answered, that was the system doing exactly what it was built to do.

On the refund, we want to be very clear. We had a signed agreement and could have let the dispute play out with a strong case to keep that payment. We chose not to. The moment you were uncomfortable, we refunded you immediately without hesitation or runaround. A company with bad intentions does not do that. We refunded you because if someone is not genuinely excited to work with us, we would rather part ways cleanly. That is who we are.

On the 8% promotional rate, we had leads ready to place in specific zip codes and needed the right agent quickly. A reduced referral fee to get started fast is simply how we bring on new partners in active markets.

We are building Marketlyne to be a long term presence in this industry, growing alongside our agents and earning a place among the most trusted names in real estate lead generation. That kind of future does not get built by fighting disputes over $399 or holding onto clients who are not comfortable. It gets built by doing the right thing every single time, and that is exactly what we did here.

To any realtor reading this, we have tremendous respect for the due diligence you do before trusting a new partner with your business. We welcome every question and every skeptic. All we ask is that you consider the full picture. This review comes from someone who never worked with us, never received a lead, and was refunded the moment she asked. If you would like to hear from someone actively on our program and receiving leads, we would be genuinely happy to make that introduction.

We are always reachable at support@marketlyn.com
