If I could give no stars I would never turn up on time and now just not even turned up so missed my train terrible customer experience and service
We will never use Lynx taxis again
We have used Lynx in the past, however our recent booking shows them to be completely unreliable. We prebooked a taxi to Manchester airport weeks in advance. 20 minutes before the taxi was due we got a text to say ‘we are working hard to assign you a driver’! So much for their claim to prebook a stress free ride to the airport. 5 minutes later I got a text to say that a driver was on his way, due in 15 minutes with the car details. 25 minutes later no driver had turned up, and the tracking link did not work. When I finally got through to the company on the phone, they said the driver said we were a no show and the ride cancelled, which was a complete lie as I’d been watching to see if the taxi turned down our street, and we never received a text to say he”d arrived like you normally do. I was then offered another driver who was 25 minutes away, which was no good because we had to be at the airport earlier than that, and who knew if he would actually show up!!
So as a result we had to jump in the car and drive ourselves to Manchester airport, only to find that there is no longer a long stay car park, and in fact you can’t park anywhere if you haven’t prebooked (which you cannot do less than 1 hour beforehand). So the only option at the last minute was the short stay car park, £40 for 3 hours and we are away for 10 days. I will not be using Lynx taxis again.

Couldn't give any stars really. Pre-ordered a taxi for a certain time. The order was confirmed. But 10 minutes before the time I got a call from the co. and was told that they are not sure when they ll have a car for me. 60 minutes and 3 phone calls later we were told there was no car for me and my 7 friends. What was the point of pre-ordering the car???? No thanks to the lynk taxi we missed a very important part of someone's life. Could not trust them ever again. Please, avoid this company at all costs!!!!

Where to begin….
Late to pick you up. Then when they pick you up they state it’s cash only, precede to drive to a cash machine, at no point the meter is on show to know how much you’ll get charged.
You then get to your destination and find out it’s double what you expected (more on that).
Then you find out all along that you could pay via card but the driver would rather you not as he doesn’t get the money quick enough, despite this being the most convenient way for the customer to pay. Wasting unnecessary time when we just wanted to get back to our hotel.
You then find out that a 6.3m journey has been needlessly extended by 10 miles resulting in the price of the taxi doubling.
You call the company to complain and show evidence of the fact that the journey should have been 10 miles less but they insist on this not being the case due to Google Maps saying otherwise. Despite being common knowledge with other firms that the route to the Travelodge hotel in Knutsford M6 can be accessed via the local road and not just via the motorway.
Taxi firm refused to acknowledge this and refused a refund for what should have cost half of what the journey should have been.
Overall a shocking experience and I’d avoid and use another firm.
Cancelled 5 minutes prior to booking time.
We Pre booked a taxi from Sutton to Macclesfield station. All agreed on the phone the day before and I stated that I needed to be on a specific train. They agreed they would pick me and my family up at 4.15 to give plenty of time to get the 4.45 train. At 4.10 I get a phone call to say they have no drivers to collect us! It was such short notice to cancel as we had no hope of arranging another taxi from another firm in such a short time frame. We missed our train and had to pay extra to transfer our tickets onto another train.
Awful experience would not use this firm again, they obviously pick and choose who they want to pick up. Don’t bother with them if you actually have to be anywhere at a specific time!

I'm posting this review to share my experience with this taxi service. Many times I have booked a taxi the day before and they are either late or don't turn up and when I ring the taxi firm they tell me the driver has left because they couldn't find my house although they have been here 40+times in the last two years. This happened as recently as today(17th June 2022)
Stranded by Lynx
Absolutely disgusting, left us stranded at Capesthorne Hall last Saturday night. We called at 11pm, our booking was accepted, we were texted at 11.15pm to say driver on way 30 minute wait. About 20 minutes later text to say booking cancelled no reason! We called Lynx repeatedly no answer, at 1.15am we fortunately were able to grab an unwanted cab. All other taxi company's were fully booked until 4am, this not only reflected badly on Lynx but also Capesthorne Hall, it was a scary experience thinking we would just have to sleep on grass until cabs started running again. I would never use Lynx cabs as they are totally unreliable & do not answer phone when going gets tough.

Appalling company
Appalling company who have no concept of customer service. I ordered a wheelchair taxi over the Jubilee weekend for myself and they sent ordinary taxis. Thanks to Lynx I missed a family party. I begrudge giving them one star as it is not deserved.

Appalling service, booked taxi night before, for 8 the following morning, it arrived 35 minutes late saying that traffic was heavy (it's always heavy on a week days at this time!) When I booked the taxi I was told it was around 16 euros turned out to be 27!!

Terrible Way To Treat Customers
Booked a Taxi today Sunday 20 March 2022 Knutsford to Mobberley, waited half an hour and decided to phone to ask when the taxi woul be arriving. Lynx then told me they had cancelled the taxi. I asked why and they said they had no cars in the area. If I had not phoned we would have still been sat their waiting. No text or call to advise me what they had done and the agent I spoke to was flippant and rude. Totally disgusting way to treat customers. I will be registering a complaint with licencing services.
Stay well away if looking for reliable taxi
Difficult to give 1 star and my pre booked 3am taxi did not turn up. Was given a courtesy call at 2.55am to let me they were cancelling which was so kind. What's the point in prebooked if it doesn't book a driver. And if I were to cancel the driver I'd be charged. hate taxi franchises like this one stay well clear

Let down big time! Had a booking hours in advance for a really important appointment. Ride was cancelled 3 minutes before the driver was due to arrive. I called to chase but no-one answered. Avoid. Don't let them let you down!
Joke of a taxi service
Joke of a taxi service, Mercedes Vito SG14RUJ driver Moynul charged us £2.50 for a ride that never turned up. Owner of Il Borgo Poynton gave us a lift home because Lynx literally gave us the run around after numerous phone calls but we gave up after 40 mins. Reckon that is theft in my book, wonder what taxi driver would say if we didn’t pay for a ride?

I would NEVER use this company again - I am disgusted by their service.
My partner booked a taxi to the airport - not only wthe driver 45 minutes late but the proceeded to charge her £50 instead of the £30 which had been agreed on when booked.
The driver, when he arrived, phoned and said he was outside the house - he wasn't - then he said he was outside the pub (a quarter of a mile away) - he wasn't. Then he said he didn't have the house number, despite me telling him at least a dozen times.
Then he charged nearly double.
Atrocious service - dishonest and unreliable. Nor do they respond to complaints.

We had a taxis booked for 20 miles away from our home. There was 7 of us who was visiting family. We booked this taxi well in advance. They were late. 2 hours later and a lot of phone calls they still didn’t come. We were stranded. We had nowhere to stay or go. We had children at home. At one point we told them they were lying to us and we wasn’t happy because within 2 hours they kept telling us they were on the way and never came. They called me as to tell me there on there way . Still didn’t come. There was no other taxi company to take us as these were the only one in the area. Thank god for Uber. We actually managed to get 2 Ubers for the trip. I honestly reccoment do not use this company
