What can I say, this shop is an absolute lifesaver. The amazing owners have saved a dad, well outside of his comfort zone, from a Year 11 prom disaster, and we couldn't be more grateful! The collection of dresses is stunning, the shop and whole experience are amazing, and customer service is exceptional. I couldn't recommend Little Black Dress highly enough. I’m so pleased with my LBD Watercolor dress from Little Black Dress Company. The dress is beautiful and exactly what I wanted, but what really stood out was the amazing service from Harry. I had an issue that he resolved straight away, and he made sure my dress arrived the very next day so I could wear it to Ascot with my daughter. I was so impressed by how helpful and efficient he was. I would definitely recommend Little Black Dress Company to all my friends and family. What a fabulous business. I ordered four dresses to try for my son’s wedding. They arrived really quickly, really well packaged and all as per the order. Sadly, none of the dresses were what I was looking for. I started the return process and then Royal Mail made what should have been a straight forward process a nightmare. From my point of view the mess they made was irksome, but from the point of view of the Little Black Dress team a shocking mess, making their trading very difficult. The parcel was “unable to be delivered” because although it was Royal Mail, they gave it to Parcelforce, who do not deliver to POBox addresses. After 40 minutes on the phone to the Coventry hub, I was told it was on its way back to me. And sure enough it arrived. More calls with LBD and off my parcel went again. Only to be shown as delivered one day and then sent to Warrington the next. Another testing time for LBD. Today, almost six weeks after the original return, I have received my refund. No fault at all of LBD. But my goodness, Royal Mail/Parceforce are making life difficult for traders!

I have nothing but praise for this wonderful frock shop from my home town and will be using them again without a doubt. Thank you for your excellent customer service in extremely trying circumstances.

I have purchased 6 dresses from them begining of April. Out of my order only 3 dresses arrived in the wrong size to what I ordered. I contacted them to enquiry and they didn’t even apologise. They asked to sent the 3 dresses back I have received in order to receive refund. I have posted dresses back to them the same day 10th April. They received it 2 days later but untill today I haven’t seen my money! Over £240 just stolen from me!!

I had a slight problem with delivery which was of no fault of the little black dress company, I can honestly say they were fabulous! I contacted and received a quick response, they kept me informed along the way and I did indeed receive my dress, which is beautiful. I cannot fault the customer service team they were so kind, polite and helpful!

Bought a dress for my uni black tie event and it was perfect! Fast shipping and gorgeous quality. Will definitely be buying from this brand again.

My Experience With Little Black Dress
I ordered a red dress from Little Black Dress before Christmas, hoping to wear it to my Christmas party. Unfortunately, the entire experience turned into a huge disappointment.
First, the company sent me the wrong dress. It was a completely different style, a different colour, and even a different SKU from what I ordered. This mistake alone ruined my Christmas party plans, as I no longer had the dress I needed for the event.
After noticing the problem, I sent three emails to their customer service. I waited for a response, but nobody replied. I heard absolutely nothing back.
Ironically, the only communication I received was an automated email asking me to write a review about my purchase. When I used that email to describe the issue, they finally replied, telling me I could return the dress for free as long as I used the original packaging.
I followed their instruction and went to the post office with the package. But the return was not free at all. I had to pay £4.25 out of my own pocket to send it back.
After returning the dress, I waited again — two more weeks passed with no update and no refund. So I sent another email asking about my money.
Finally, after almost three weeks, I received my refund. But even then, the refund was less than what I paid. I originally paid £62.10, but they refunded me only £58.10 — and that doesn’t include the £4.25 I had to pay for postage, which they never reimbursed.
Overall, the experience was extremely frustrating from start to finish.
I received the wrong product, customer service ignored my emails until I posted a negative review, the “free return” wasn’t actually free, the refund took nearly three weeks, and I was refunded less money than I originally paid.
I am very disappointed with the level of service and would caution others to be aware of these issues before ordering.

Ordered a dress for Christmas Day in a medium. They put a small in the bag & altered the invoice stating I’d contacted to chance the size when I hadn’t.
Struggled with the returns process. Return completed beginning of January. Zero communication or refund.
Very poor service!

1-star review for Little Black Dress
Bought a dress, sent it back immediately (didn't even like the quality). They sat on my money for 18 days with zero communication while I chased them. Only got my refund because I paid via PayPal and had to open a case with the PayPal Resolution Center to force their hand.
Shocking customer service, zero accountability, and apparently they only refund when legally cornered. Avoid this company—save yourself the headache and shop literally anywhere else.

I've had a great experience with LBD customer team - my order was initially running late, potentially jeopardising my work Christmas party outfit choice! But the team was very responsive and made sure to expedite the delivery to make up for the initial delay, so my dress arrived on time!

Order on Monday and not had a confirmation off it been dispatched. Email and no response what so ever.

I was given only 3 days notice to a black tie event at work, decided to order a couple of options from LBD and was very pleased. 2 of the 3 dresses arrived in time which isn't a issue as the first dress I tried on fit amazing and I felt like a princess wearing it. Will definitely use again in the future. The dress was really good quality for the money too. Very pleased and thank you for getting me to the ball 😊

Very hard to communicate with Little Black Dress when you have a problem. They are great at communicating when you are buying but not when you are returning a product. They ignore your emails. There is no phone number to contact then. You can only communicate via email. Customer service is not great. I have been emailing them for the past four weeks and I’ve only had one response that doesn’t help me or explain when I will be refunded.

I have just had the pleasure of buying a dress from LBD, they honestly went above and beyond to help me. Brilliant customer service and my dress is amazing

My dress hasn’t arrived in 10 days, eventually I had to contact company about missing dress, and they told me there is delay as they have no colour and no size offering me smaller size haha would better they offer me different dress because I don’t think I loose weigh in few days. I have an event coming tmr and no outfit so I’m extremely disappointed with this company, and won’t recommend to anyone!

I refunded a dress on the 1st of July and still no reply from customer services. I’ve emailed to chase this and still no reply! I may have to contact my back if I don’t hear back from them. Appalling service from a reputable company. Please don’t buy from here.

I’m shocked and feel cheated to read the last review from Helen, I’m also experiencing the same appalling behaviour from this company.

I bought two dresses at a total cost of £447.99. Neither fitted so I returned them in accordance with the company’s 14 day return policy, on 31 May. I tracked the parcel and saw that it had been received and waited for my refund.

The company puts on its website that refunds take up to 20 days, but if you haven’t received your money after that time you must email them. I emailed them after 21 days, attached the requested proof of postage, and got an automated reply. It is now 32 days and I still haven’t received my refund.

This is clearly a disreputable company and I wish I’d never attempted to do business with them. You’ve been warned.

I do not usually write reviews however I feel so disappointed with the lack of communication from customer services, customers need to be made aware. I ordered two dresses on 8/5/25, two different sizes, one out of stock however £170 for both was deducted from my bank account.
The one delivered dress was returned to the company, tracked, on 14/5/25 kindly requesting a total refund for both.This has not happened, to date, despite several emails to the company including a formal complaint.
My bank has now become involved to investigate and temporarily refunded the amount whilst their investigation continues. Very disappointed.
