Do not trust their customer services

Bought 2 expensive routers with them, tested one of them and didn't like the performance.

Had to explain detail by detail and also prove that the router was the one sent by them (had to send mac address).

After lots of e-mails, got approval to send it back and was told they would cover the costs of return shipment.

After they received the products they did the refund of the value of the products (that's why I'm giving two stars and not one). But then I asked what about the shipment costs?

They promptly created some excuses saying that just the "restocking fee" would be more than the costs of shipping and they wouldn't refund anything more.

Their website is not clear about the costs (I also didn't see any mention about restocking fees) and even if they were clear about the returning costs, I have AN E-MAIL stating that THEY would pay the for that.

I will not buy with them again, and they can thank me for posting this deal on HotUkDeals, I made at least 20 sales for them.

Thank you for your detailed feedback. We can confirm that this customer received a full refund for their original order.

With regards to confirming the MAC address, we will always verify that the unit the customer is attempting to return actually came from us. We keep a record of all items dispatched and this simple check can confirm an item is from our own stock.

The customer informed us that this item may be faulty, which is why we agreed to refund return postage. On return and after full testing, the item was shown to be fully functional and without fault.

As per our terms and conditions and distance selling regulations, the customer is responsible for the cost of returning "unwanted" items. We will always refund postage costs for faulty and items sent in error by us.

Friendly and very helpful

I was looking for a seemingly unobtainable spare part for a MikroTik item - extensive on-line searches had drawn a blank and I was seriously considering how to make my own.
Mentioned on IRC that I was looking for this item and was instantly prompted to email sales at LinITX.
Within the hour, Jake from sales had found two of the items I was looking for, posted them on their website, and I had placed the order.

Excellent Product and Service

Our organisation needed true protection and resilience for their data network. The LinITX APU2C2 has given us this and at a very reasonable price. Delivery was fast and arrived within the designated time slot on the predicted day. Good effort!

Extremely polite

Extremely polite, helpful, patient and professional.
the item i bought over the phone arrived two days later as promised and the staff have been most helpful with my inquiries on installation.

Would be good if the phones were manned til 6pm or 7.

Ron is a god to us

Ron is a god to us. In total desperation we approached LinITX for help after being connected with a company who configured all of our MikroTik devices for us in such a bad way we spent one year in hell with constant complaints, making major financial losses.

LinITX came to our assistance by offering Ron Tuow to give us some verbal advice. This gentleman not only gave us honest verbal advice but basically saved our business from disaster and I and my colleagues being frightened to do any further installations with MikroTik equipment.

Ron has helped us on so many occasions to correct faults, pointing out that the original setup of the equipment had been totally incorrect. Everything we'd been told by the previous company was total rubbish and all the products which we believed were bad are actually good as a result of Ron's intellectual input and correcting eventually all the mistakes and faults in the system, made by the previous suppliers. Needless to say, we think Ron is absolutely fantastic and we can't thank him enough for everything he has done. Not only did Ron fix our system, but he explained every step and has been very patient with us. I highly recommend LinITX and MultiThread and especially Ron.

I without hesitation would highly recommend Ron and the companies he is associated with one hundred percent.

Shopping made easy

I was on the lookout for some equipment for a point to point link and this companies web site had what I needed along with useful blog articles and data sheet downloads.

I placed an order and invoicing and delivery tracking was superb with the package arriving next day (free delivery).

A well-packed box of equipment was delivered and I had the link configured in no time at all ( now I have to install it though ).

Disgusted with the service - never been treated this badly!

Been a repeat customer for several years. Ordered a switch, arrived in a slightly-battered thin outer box. Took it straight to end-users site unopened, when I opened it on site there was no power supply. Drove home to get a spare (40 mile round trip). Called LinITX the day after and the first thing they did was to check their packing room CCTV and offer to send me the footage. I was told that they couldn't do anything about it - "I don't know what else I can tell you".

Thanks for your help, poor packing and accusatory tone - I've got better things to do with my time than to try and cheat you out of a five quid power supply. I'll be buying from your (cheaper) competitors in future - I'm sure Amazon won't imply that I'm lying...

We have contacted the customer since reading their review, in an effort to understand how we could have handled this situation differently. We have also sent this customer a replacement power supply with our most sincere apologies.

Having discussed this customer's issue with him further, it's clear that there were things we could have done differently. Although we do check our CCTV when missing items are reported, in this case, the PSU went missing in transit due to damaged packaging after leaving our warehouse.

We are always looking for ways to improve our service and this has given us an opportunity to re-evaluate certain aspects of our processes.

In light of this customer’s initial complaint, we have now spoken with our customer service agents and warehouse packing team to highlight improvements that can be made.

We also advise all customers to sign for any items as damaged on delivery (so there is a record) and to open all boxes to ensure all items they ordered are present and correct at the time of delivery.

We hope that this customer is satisfied with our handling of their complaint, and we'd like to assure all our customers that we always try to resolve issues quickly and efficiently once we have all relevant information.

Ordered on Monday, here with me on Wednesday. The cost of next day shipping was not significantly more than standard.

They were cheaper on the Ubiquity Amplifi than any other source, and came with UK mains plugs - not the EU versions that many seem to be supplied with.

Well packed, shipped fast and hassle free.
