Transferred miles from Capital One Account to Avianca LifeMiles. When I attempted to redeem the miles for an Avianca flight I am constantly told that my email and name is not correct. I have been trying to resolve the issue through LifeMiles Customer Service for the last two month and getting nowhere.

Fraudulent Service - Avoid at All Costs!

If you're considering transferring points to LifeMiles.com, think twice. Their advertised "Miles + Money" offers for tickets are nothing more than a scam designed to lure you into transferring your points to their platform. Here's my experience:

The portal is riddled with errors and will not allow you to book a ticket. Instead, you'll be prompted to call their support team. When you do, they'll quote taxes that are three times the actual flight amount. If you point out that this isn't what was advertised, they’ll simply dismiss your concerns, saying, “That’s not our issue.”

Speaking to a supervisor is equally futile. They’ll listen to your complaint, feign understanding, and then ask, “Do you have another question?” Zero empathy, zero accountability. I’m honestly baffled how LifeMiles is part of the Star Alliance or partnered with Capital One and other major banks.

Save yourself the headache and avoid this portal entirely. I wish someone had warned me before I wasted my time and effort. Hopefully, this review saves you from going through the same ordeal.

Their website states that I can accumulate miles from previous flights within a 12-month period. But, as is often the case with some Latin American companies, there's always a loophole or excuse. And guess what? The miles aren't being credited.

Tener millas con Avianca es un pésimo negocio, además que es una cñia que le cobra ahora hasta el vaso de agua que tomas en el avion, el de las millas cuando vas a canjear, son inescrupulosos, sale mas barato comprar el tkt, que realizar canje. Canje 45mil millas mas 4MM vuelo a USA. Tkt sin millas y comprado 3.9MM...ahhh. Lo peor de lo peor

Es un verdadero desastre, me han cambiado el numero de usuario unas 3 veces en los ultimo 5 años sin dar previo aviso, luego ingresar a la pagina siempre es una odisea y se le vencen a uno las millas acumuladas de un día para otro, ellos dicen que enviaron emails, yo digo que no recibí ninguno... he perdido muchas millas y beneficios por la manera como manejan el tema. He bloqueado el ingreso unas 5 veces por los cambios de usuarios que realizan constantemente. Lo hacen todo muy dificil para el cliente.

Me estafaron con la compra de millas desde 3 semanas me cobraron el monto en la tarjeta no realizan ni reembolso ni te tan las m***** millas

This is the worst posible mileage program. I’ve been a gold member for some years now and it’s the same as not having any status at all. They offer some benefits but it is impossible to use them. If you want to redeem a premium seat they tell you that you have to do it at the airport, but at the airport they will tell you that it can only be done through the website. Of course, that is completely impossible, because it doesn’t work. They have no customer service, just a bot. They don’t help you with anything at all, not to mention they have no lounges except in Colombia. It’s a disaster. I don’t bother to fly with avianca to retain my status anymore.

0get credit. She said she did. It turns out she switched the credit to "Aviana life miles". I have never heard of them . they supposedly credits " my" life miles account.
I called united and they told me that They gave the credit to my aviana account . They gave me an account # that is supposedly mine. They said I need to call Aviana and request to transfer my miles to Mileage plus account. I called Aviana and after being on hold for ever and then connecting me to a life miles agent , she said the account # that the miles are on for the ticket do not have me as the account owner . My ticket # that they gave me on my boarding pass confirmed the miles on the account but the account is not under my name.
This means , they created an account and transferred MY miles to that account. they show on united that I am the owner of the account but on aviana's side ,I am not the owner.
So that is how they steal miles.
I am reporting this to united as well. This is awful . Stay clear. it is all scam .

No te afanes en hacer millas con sus tarjetas y tener fidelidad al usarlas no tiene cuenta. Es más barato comprarlos por aparte porque las millas se devaluaron en gran medida. Programa de Fidelidad no es rentable.

worst scam ever, you have totally thrown your points away by converting to lifemiles, they never have 'flights available' when i try to travel and the one time i found a flight, from tampa to atlanta, the shortest duration was 8 hours, that was the shortest, it is quicker to drive...do not use this site or give them miles

I’ve never heard of lifemiles and suddenly have an email to a different version of my email address in my inbox saying ‘Hi Fiona’ (my names Hannah) and giving me my account number and saying I haven’t set up 2factor etc!! SCAM and somehow cloning my information!?! Or attempting to hack me or something!! Needs reporting!

Desde hace tiempo viene en decadencia, cada vez peor, hasta inservible.

Their customer services sucks,when they don’t want to answer your question. They will hand off your phone. Anything you ask, they will be like we will open a ticket for you then never get a answers

I only give one Star because Zero Stars is not an option. They are THIEVES and do not comply with data protection regulation either. They stole all my miles which I had paid for for "not using them" during the global pandemic and then despite unsubscribing ten times they constantly bombard me with marketing Emails.

Poor customer service and seems difficult to earn even 1 lifemiles, not worth the effort and hassle. Avoid

La página para poder redimir las millas es mala, se cae y cuelga permanentemente. Comprar millas es fácil. Redimirlas es un desafío.

Using the website is incredibly frustrating. I have been trying to book a flight with my miles and get erred out recurrently. Additionally, being a Lifemiles Silver member, several benefits must be made effective via the website (ie, getting a premium seat, which has to be done via the website up to 48 hours before the flight). In practice, this benefit cannot be obtained, as the website crashes every time you try to apply for it.

No tienen vuelos en Perú pero siguen vendiendo millas. Millas expiran rápido y luego cobran por traerlas de vuelta.

A complete scam of a website. I’ve been checking this flight from China to LA for a week before I worked up the courage to transfer points from my capital one to lifemiles. It shows that it has 4 tickets available every day. When it comes to booking, I get errored out every single time. I called them and only to be told that the flight is not available and nothing is available around the date I was trying to book. I refreshed the website as I was on the phone with them, still showing there are 4 seats available. I was on the phone with them for half an hour , get escalated to supervisor. They just said there is nothing they can do and they can’t transfer my points back to capital one. They scammed me of $1k worth of points, Im contacting capital one to get it back.
