Zero stars if I could

I guess I’m just one of the many one star reviews. I never had any issues with the bedframe itself, but had to contact customer service because I lost some pieces to the frame in a move and I can tell you that the customer service representatives are some of the absolute rudest people I’ve ever had the displeasure of speaking with. They ordered only half the items I needed and when I realized I called 30 seconds later and they demanded that I pay for shipping again instead of just adding to the prior order. I ended up finding the parts and returned the ones they sent me and I had to pay for shipping again back to them and they took over 60 days to refund me (for the parts, not the shipping) after many phone calls and many customer service agents being tremendously disrespectful. They talk down to you, yell at you, lie to you, put you on hold without warning, horrendous company.

My remote control failed

My remote control failed after six years, and I take responsibility for the damage caused by dropping it.
Upon reaching out to the company for a replacement, I was notified that the 700 model is discontinued.
To maintain compatibility, I would need to purchase a conversion kit priced at almost $300, which is similar to the cost of my adjustable bedframe. The company recommended using the app, but despite attempting to troubleshoot and reset the bed, the app failed to connect. Given the cost and support issues, I am unlikely to pursue any new adjustable bed frames from this company in the future.

Worthy Service Manager

This review is 4-start because of the outcome, mainly because of the diligence of Mark, the customer service manager.
I 'inherited' a sofa bed when purchasing a condo. The head section tilts up for reading etc. Due to some rivets that sheared off this would fall far beyond vertical, so not suitable for sleeping.
Mark helped to identify the culprit parts by sending the diagram, verified that these are the problem, and had them sent out.
It DID take a bit of time and persistence to reach him, so the internal routing of the issue was substandard. But once he got on the case I felt like I was being attended to appropriately.

I bought two twin beds from Saatva (also not great)
we ordered the adjustable bed bases to go with the bed.
We have had the beds and the adjustable frames for less ten a year and on the same day both of them stopped working, I called Leggett an Platt they were nice and got the first one that went out going, Right after they fixed that one the OTHER one went out I called them back and this one wouldn't fix.. So they referred me to the Leggett and Platt service. they did sent me a part but now can't get service to come put the part in. SOOOO disappointed, in both companies!!

Terrible company and customer service

Terrible company and customer service. After spending thousands on two beds from them, I can 100% tell you to run to any other company before buying here. They also sent us used accessories for our headboard assembly. I would think after a 4k bed, I was eligible for new parts but nope they sent used and they weren’t even in a package, they were thrown in a cardboard box. It is very unprofessional and when you call in, the employees fit their standards, very unprofessional.

This is a shady company to say the…

This is a shady company to say the least. I ordered replacement parts for my bed and was given the name of a company to help with assembly - National Assemblers. They charge $190 up front. I saw their reviews (no-shows, arriving without tools, etc.) and decided to cancel. My guess is that L&P is getting a kickback from these people. Additionally, I could not get a refund from parts that I ordered and couldn't use b/c they said my bed was out of warranty.

I am so mad I paid 90.92 for a remote…

I am so mad I paid 90.92 for a remote shipping and handling I paid to send them their remot n they telling me they only sent me back 67.00 I asked why and the reason was I had to pay taxes and shipping I wasn’t told that when I bought it. money is hard for ppl for you to be a million dollar company you keeping ppl money for what they paid I sent you 90 I want it back they said they refunded me my money and never did I got this big as receipt my bank never saw my refund so that’s the second time they lied so I’m doing a dispute

> Insurance Co. Keeps you on phone 1 hour only to tell you "now that you've let us know, you need to call manufacturer Leggett & Platt with claim #"
> You spend next hour discussing broken part. Then Leggett & Platt says " now you need to call insurance company back and give them this part number & cost"
> When you say "I bought the warranty shouldn't that be your job"?
Rep. becomes arrogant & condescending, stating "you want it fixed or not, this is how its done. You don't call them back, no part, totally up to you ".
> You call back insurance company, another 30 mins to provide them part info. They say " you need to call back in a week to check status and get tracking #. I said "why did you take my email if I have to call back to get that info?"
Reply " that's the way its done ".
You ask for confirmation of final call back #, they say use claim #.
> You wait 1 month = NOTHING
> You call back insurance/warranty company, they say " I have nothing showing but shipped". Ask for tracking number = NONE
> I hung up, called salesman at Mattress Firm , he says" we don't usually take care of that". Of which i said " but I purchased the extended warranty at your recommendation and it doesn't work"

I said " you call them" he agreed, called back a few minutes later, said I found the problem ".
The manufacturer had your name spelled wrong, the wrong address, the wrong phone # and didn't have your email address. They shipped out the product immediately but it was returned, need to start over".
>i called BS on that info because both the insurance company & manufacturer make you repeat it over & over.

We will see!.
> So folks, although Mattress Firm never disclosed you must work with insurance & manufacturer for warranty coverage, including pricey extended, you are on your own the minute you step out that door.
Make Mattress Firm fix the issue, that's who you paid the thousands of $$$$ to.

DON'T BUY ANY PRODUCT MADE BY LEGGETT& PLATT

Do not ever buy a product made by Leggett & Platt because if something goes wrong, you will never get any customer service or get your warranty honored. We bought an adjustable bed from Mattress Firm and because the frame is manufactured by Leggett & Platt, we have to deal with them direct rather than with Mattress Firm. Six weeks into it and we still do not have a new bed frame so all the money we spent went down the drain. We are giving up and and will buy another bed frame ourselves. We had no idea when we bought the bed and told about the warranty that if anything went wrong we would have to deal with the manufacturer themselves. And further had no idea that Leggett & Platt had such a poor reputation!

Defective Product and Incompetent Support

We experienced problems with two mattresses being higher on one end and the remote stopping before it reaches it's proper level. I requested a service call but it was difficult getting it set up. The tech who showed up appeared to be just punching a time clock and not interested in assessing the problems. Parts had been delivered but he denied they were needed.

Our frame was supposed to be a bed hugger but you can't easily reach back to the night stand so don't believe it is. We asked the tech. He wanted to know how far back we have to reach...shouldn't he have checked the model number?

He didn't want to troubleshoot and left it up to us to problem solve. I've had 2 mattresses on this frame and both curved up at the foot. I assumed it was the frame. He didn't see the problem until I showed him how you could put your hand under it at the foot but not the head. I then asked why don't we reverse the mattress. Interestingly it was also high in front so BOTH mattresses we purchased for this base had this defect?...I find that very odd.

He did find that the mattress retainer bar at the foot did not go back in the slot after lifting the foot of the bed up. He had no explanation for that except to push it back in.

Then I asked him why the remote doesn't always lower the bed completely and I have to press it twice. He said my finger may have slipped. I am very attentive when holding it down but he couldn't explain why it does it with the automatic button which you don't have to hold. He wasn't interested in looking into it. After his visit he spent more time in our driveway before he left than he did in our house...just punching the clock.

So the frame is flawed and the tech is ignorant and lazy. You really want to buy a Leggett & Platt?

Defective and

They advertise or allow others to advertise their bases are made in USA, but I ordered a base that says it was assembled in Mexico with motors made in China. Also, I ordered one of the more expensive lumbar, pillow tilt models and it was defective out of the box. They could not fix it in 3 tries, which took 2 1/2 months, sent another one, and it was also defective.

This company is absolutely horrible

This company is absolutely horrible. You would think after spending over $3,500 on a bed it would have no issues, or maybe customer service would be great, or maybe you won’t get charged ridiculously, or maybe replacing parts wouldn’t be a hassle, but NO this is not the case especially with this atrocious company. I am now awaiting my third replacement part (the same part) which has come broken twice now. Not only have I had to pay a technician to come out twice ($150 each time total $300) but they also have the nerve to make us go sending their garbage products back at the post office. This company should be shut down they are garbage along with their rude employees. The second you get on the phone with someone you can barely hear them and they are ready to give you an attitude and basically to F off if you talk back out of frustration at any moment. My last part that came “brand new” one of the pieces did not even match and they blamed the warehouse. The part before that the entire motor they sent made a horrific sound and had no explanation. This company should be shut down I advise anyone looking into an expensive bed make sure this company has NOTHING to do with it. I hope they get shut down.

Price gouging

I recently bought two extra part massagers for my bed. The last time I bought them in 2019, they cost $17. The ones I just bought cost $63 each. Even accounting for inflation, this is price gouging. I bought them because I had no other way to get them. The ones on eBay, Amazon, Temu, etc would t work.

Do Not Ever Buy Their Adjustable Bed Base from Sleep Number!!!

Leggett & Platt has been a nightmare to work with. I bought their adjustable bed base through Sleep Number, but it doesn't work. They won't refund my money for a product that doesn't work, and getting multiple repairs has done absolutely nothing. I've spent hours on the phone with them (mostly on hold) and I was most recently told by Debbie, who was condescending and interrupted me repeatedly, that they have to replace the same part at least 3 times before they will even begin to consider replacing the base. Each repair takes weeks to happen and their technician won't call me to set up an appointment. I have to call L&P again and wait on hold for at least an hour to get the contact information for their technician so that I can call them and ask them to come and do the repair. We are out thousands of dollars for a piece of junk and useless customer service.

Worst customer service experience ever

I called customer service today about some noises my adjustable base was making and spoke with Debbie.

After listening to my description of the noises, Debbie told me I would need to order both a new Vibrate motor and the motor(s) responsible for raising and lowering the bed.

When I questioned how she would know this without either hearing the noises or at least examining the base, she told me she was both an electrician and a technician and would I like to order those parts now?

Every question I asked from that point forward was met with annoyance, impatience, and impertinence.

Despite my every attempt to keep the conversation cordial so I could get more information, she continued to be arrogant, condescending, curt, and generally unpleasant.

This is the only Leggett & Platt product I've owned. Based on this conversation alone, it will be my last.

I realize the consumer market is only one part of Leggett & Platt's customer base, but experiences like this are brand killers.

Products are $2000 pieces of trash

Products are $2000 pieces of trash. Made so poorly! Bed is 1 1/2 years old and looks like we have to replace it. Adjustable base is sunken down towards the floor where it bends. Warranty is over at a year old.
