Non-stick pan stuck on first use
Bought a Esteele non-stick pan which stuck on first use, (burns marks unable to be removed), requested refund but was fobbed off. Esteele reported back about how to clean the pan, and unbelievably finished up by saying there might still be marks after I had done what they said. Kitchen Warehouse did want to know. I put the issue to Consumer Affairs WA but they are toothless tigers. Currently working with CBA to have the credit card charge reversed. Be warned - if the product you buy is not fit for purpose you are stuck with it,(pardon the pun).
Battling for a replacement of a clearly evidenced damaged item
Received what appeared to be a used and scuffed item with evidential marks. Contacted Kitchen Warehouse only to be asked to provide photographic evidence which I did immediately, then asked for further photographs of the compliance plate which I also did instantly. Then told to wait 1-2 business days yet have heard nothing until I had to chase them up. Meanwhile I placed a further order for matching items with them which will be delivered in a couple of days. It's now been over a week waiting for them to 'agree' to a return. In all honesty, the Laura Ashley Kettle is a load of Chinese made junk yet was willing to have a replacement merely for the pattern. Yet here I await not only their response but a replacement. Worst experience in terms of seeking a replacement item under Australian Consumer Law and given they're churning these out ad nauseam why make it so difficult to replace a damaged item without having to battle? Shall pursue it though if they do not fulfil their basic obligations under legal protections.

Be careful when you start a search, that Kitchen Warehouse have the correct product you have searched for. I searched for a dinner set and in the search, Kitchen Warehouse enabled the search to include single plates for the same make of Japanese dinner set. I stupidly didn't check the wording and purchased it.

I had a very distasteful experience returning two Cuisena Egg Poachers to the KitchenWareHouse shop in the Penrith Homemaker Centre in Jamisontown. The items said they were non-stick. I oiled them both, cracked an egg in both and hung them on the side of the saucepan in almost boiling water. Both eggs stuck fast to the "non-stick" surface and had to be scraped off. When I returned the offending items ($9.95 each) I was told I couldn't return them because I'd used them. I asked to see the manager. She said the same thing. She asked if I had used Virgin Olive Oil. I didn't know what I'd used. She said that I should know that you shouldn't use Virgin Olive Oil on a non-stick surface. I'm a 76 year old guy. I had no idea. I asked her if she was really going to upset a loyal customer over $20. She reluctantly gave me a refund and then said that she would put a note next to my name that I'd been told about Virgin Olive Oil. So I would not get a refund again. I won't shop there again!
Broken delivery
We ordered two set of crockery in the Black Friday sales. Unfortunately when they were delivered multiple pieces were broken.
I emailed customer service and got not reply after 2 days so called customer service number.
Initially this was very hopeful as I was told a replacement set would be sent out.
Next I get an email that there was no stock.
Later I find out there was stock in a store but that store didn’t offer delivery.
So I then after some back and forth I found out I’d could either take a”full refund” for one set - which wasn’t enough for me to get a replacement from another store as the refund was on the sale amount not even the current price on the website, or I could get a partial refund to cover the broken items. This doesn’t work as the set I ordered doesn’t have items for sale individually (that I could find). I asked for a more creative solution - like getting a courier to driver the set they did have in stock or giving a refund that meant I could get an actual replacement (probably another $30 on top) . Silence.
So I’m left with not enough pieces for my family Christmas ( I’ve now reluctantly opted for the partial refund as for the full refund I’d have to organise returning the items myself on top) and either pay for another full set at current pricing - even more out of pocket - or just find some contrasting pieces to complete the set. Oh and now 3 days later despite emailing daily for an update I still haven’t got the partial refund and it’s Christmas next week.
Kitchen warehouse - your customer service team can do better - or maybe you need to train or enable them to be more creative in responding to a customer that has paid for a service and hasn’t received it. Surely the cost of a courier or a reasonable refund that means I could actually replace the set to cover the inconvenience would mean a happy customer that come back and spend more. I certainly won’t be using Kitchen Warehouse
Dreadful Experience

The one set that arrived was cushioned by their shredded office paper!!! Not the more professional and safer methods that Peters of Kensington uses. One good way of getting rid of your paper but not great for the poor customer that ends up with shredded paper all over the floor! Not buying from here again!

Ordered an electronic sensor bin which arrived faulty and did not work at all. After providing required information, customer service has ignored any requests to resolve this issue and avoided all contact. Will not be purchasing from Kitchen Warehouse anymore.

Terrible customer service. Has taken over a month to get a single answer about the warranty of a product I purchased from my grandmother with turned out to be faulty.

One thing I dislike about kitchen warehouse is how long they take to dispatch an item. It took them 5 business days to dispatch my order..in 2024 that's pathetic.
Will not process refund
ThievesReturned online order bought through afterpay. Was told refund was completed bet it has not been done. Given the run around by this store. This has never happened with a transaction with afterpay. Either incompetent or scammers.

Update it is now 3rd July and still no refund. Dispute put through afterpay seems just as incompetent. Received a call from customer service over 2 weeks ago saying refund will be done in 48 hours. Also told their employee at their Warrawong store doesn't know what she is talking about and lied about the process. Item returned 14/6/24. I spent over $700.00 within a week in store . Will never buy from these thieves again. I will now be putting a dispute with consumers affairs and writing reviews accordingly.

Be very careful believing what Kitchen Warehouse sayswhen claiming what a 'fantastic' discount you're getting. I was about to buy some Kitchen Pro Cube Staorage Canister Starter Pack 24pb for $99.95, supposedly reduced from a RRP of $349 -- a claimed 71% discount. But then I see other stores (e.g. Bunnings, Woolworths) have them at a standard price of $119, and even kitchen warehouse typically has this product for $119!
Sure - $99.95 is less than $119, but the claimed 70% reduction strikes me as somewht deceptive, and likely designed to lure the comsumer into a purchase that is not as attractive as Kitchen Warehouse would like consumers to think.
I tried to call Kitchen warehouse 3 times on the 1 800 number to discuss, but was left on hold (with no pick up) or cut off (with no pickup). A customer service officer tha I eventuallty reached also put me on hold and did not return after 7 minutes.
Overall, these difficulties don't engender trust in Kitchen Warehouse. Beware.
Fantastic business with great range of products
The product we ordered was much better quality than we imagined and arrived within a day. Very impressed with this business.
We bought an OXO Good Grips SimplyTear…
We bought an OXO Good Grips SimplyTear Paper towel holder on 14 January 2024. The cost was $44.95 plus delivery of $9.90. Allegedly the price was reduced from $79.95. The device looked good and functioned well but only lasted until 31 March 2024 before the spring broke and no longer firmly holds the paper towel. We had only used two and half paper towel rolls when it broke. We contacted Kitchen Warehouse but they said that since it was beyond 30 days no refund was payable. They said we could return it in the box in which it arrived so they could re-sell it again!!!!. We only kept the box for about 3 weeks.
Therefore, we would certainly not buy from Kitchen Warehouse again or any OXO product and cannnot recommend at all. A very disappointing outcome. In our opinion this product was not fit for purpose. We will be contacting Consumer Affairs to make a complaint.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. Lied to twice then blame laid on first customer service agent. First customer service agent was nice. Second one was all to happy to cancel order and blame customer service person one in a completely condescending tone. If that’s your customer service you can find a new customer because I won’t be back.
