Decent showroom but unfortunately the customer service in sales side is poor. Went to look at a few cars, no refreshments offered. Trade in prices are well below cap value. Sales person said to sell car elsewhere and come back and buy theirs, em no thanks! Unprofessional service knowing they over charge cars and offer less than what yours is worth. Will not return to John clark seat in the future for any more cars or repairs, definitly worth the travel elsewhere for the extra 1.5k on part exchange value. Found same car less miles and cheaper by 1k, so 2 stars for saving me 2.5k.

Thor Standen provided an excellent sales experience and has continued to provide post sales support. I purchased a pre-reg SEAT Ibiza for my daughter and I am pleased I went to Aberdeen for this purchase over local Tayside dealers. The part exchange, purchase and drive away experience was perfect and probably the best I have had for a long time. I would buy from Thor again without issue.

I agreed a deal for my car on the 20/01/26.This price included a settlement figure for the car I was trading in obtained from seat financial services.The next direct debit for the old car was due on the 01/02/26 and this was paid by me as the new car had not arrived.This had happened with previous cars I have purchased and ,when the dealer settled the old car, I was refunded the over payment by the financial services company.I picked up my new car on 20/02/26 and expected the over payment to be refunded in due course as had happened with other cars .On this occasion however,unknown to me, John Clark Seat had submitted a further settlement request to Seat FS which was obviously smaller as I had paid the direct debit on 01/02/26.I therefore paid £260 more than agreed and this was pocketed by John Clark.I don't know whether this is legal or not however it is not a reasonable way to treat customers particularly as we have purchased three cars from the John Clark Group in the last 5 years.

I found the experience ok but felt like I was being pressured into buying a car the first day I spoke to the salesman. I know that they work on commission and want cars sold but I was not ready to make a decision so quickly. I found there were a few unprofessional comments made at times which I did not appreciate. The issue I had was with payment. I had made it clear when I was purchasing the car that another person would be paying the deposit at the time of collection and I would be paying the monthly instalments. We had had an issue previously so wanted to make sure that was ok. I wad told this was fine. Then when the day came to pay the deposit I was told it had to be paid by a card in my name or else the car couldn't be released and we would have to wait for a disclaimer form to say I was happy for someone else to pay the deposit which could have taken until the following week to get sorted. I had to then travel home to get my credit card to pay for this but if we had been told on purchase that this was the case then there we could have been prepared. Can this be changed in future? That another person can pay a deposit without a disclaimer or be told at the time of purchase that the deposit has to be paid by the same person as the instalments.
