If there was a zero star, I'd give to this useless company.
I have given a review some months back on how terrible they are, I just came back here to re-iterate it - this is the worst company on the surface of the earth. And I have decided to come here every month and give them a review until they get better. They just bill you whatever they feel like! My bill keeps increasing every month for no reason. If anyone know a way on how to report this shitty company, please feel free to share with me
Who are IWNL
I’ve struggled with this company since I moved into my new build. They estimated all my readings (getting one done is not simple) and left me with a significant bill. I questioned whether I had a leak as it was so high. They sent their employee Steve who was brilliant. He did all the due diligence, explained and tracked my usage and provided reassurance. Without Steve this review would be terrible. You are saved by your great employee who went out of his way to provide a good customer experience.
Terrible company
Terrible company, they overcharge, they don't have smart meters. I was charged almost £300 for two months. There's no email contact. The company was imposed by the developer, and there's no way to change it.
Joe is Fantastic! Superb customer service
Had a lovely experience with Joe today. He was very helpful, knowledgable and helped me solve an issue I was having. Calling for help is normally such a pain, and you end the call with no useful answers. I only wish when I had to call for support everyone could be like Joe!

Baylie, Water Field Technician, visited today to investigate my alleged high water usage. Baylie is very friendly, helpful and professional. He couldn't find any evidence of a leak but discovered my property was connected to the wrong water metre! Thank you Baylie for your money-saving help!
This company fleeces there customers
This company who we have no choice but to use are a complete failure, over charging me, putting my DD up every other month, contacted them they adjusted my DD, next month put it up again, they are fleesing there customers snd making profit on my money, just give me a acurate bill, i used to have Yorkshire water who had smart water meters to read my meter, brand new house back to the golden age, now have to go outside to read my own meter which they totally ignored anyway.
They void accountability at all costs!
Had an issue caused by IWNL, that was semi resolved by one of their reps on the door fixing those mistakes within a few days, HOWEVER I then received a call from one of their advisors who was incredibly unprofessional.
We are on the Priority Services Register and I asked their advisor on the phone to cease his behaviour as it was triggering conditions linked to us being on there - he continued. This lead to a triggering of those health conditions.
Made a complaint, and although they even acknowledged this to be true not so much as a gesture other than “we will pass this on for learning” etc, etc.
Essentially they can accept wrong doing, but deny accountability for causing ill health.
Not that you have much of a choice but this will be escalated to the Ombudsman as a lack of duty of care to a vulnerable customer. I’m sharing here to make people aware of what they are like, and how little - it would seem - that they actually care about their customer base.

Had a silent leak in two toilets in our house.
Caused our water usage to triple to 1100 litres a day!! IWNL didn't think to let me know my usage was so high, and instead has just let my balance run up to £1500!
First thing I knew was an email to say my DD was going from £51 to £185!
They are saying the only way to reduce the DD is to pay the balance off in full, and then they will look at reducing it!
I have just taken another reading now at the end of the month and our water usage now for this month has been around 350 litres a day - not the 1100 that IWNL were letting us burn through.
I have submitted these readings and now my DD has risen to £210 a month!!!!!!
The worst thing about a new build is being stuck with these.
Don’t set up a DD!
Moved into a new build, and IWNL are our new supplier. Previously paid £60 per month to Wessex Water. Was told IWNL were the same price or cheaper. When setting the account up I was told it would be £119 per month direct debit. Refused this and decided to do monthly reads and pay that way. I was stroppily told I would miss out on the £3.50 per year DD discount (wow so generous!) by paying on bill.
First bill generated today off my readings. £44!! Don’t let them bully you into setting a DD up for much higher.

Once again they are telling a different story to last. Suprise . They are scammers. How did they get to supply water. Full of lies. Keep upping the charges. THIEVES LIARS

Horrendous provider
Horrendous provider however unfortunately anyone who has a house they supply has no choice, they clearly know this and so ridiculously overcharge. I am paying £105 a month for a house with 3 people living in it, they say it’s all based on how much you use but our previous house also had a water meter and we never paid anywhere near this much. Our water bill is more than our gas and electric combined. They offer no support and simply take advantage of families living in properties they supply. No idea how they are allowed to continue doing this.

I’m now paying double of what I paid in my previous property that was supplied by southern water. These tin pot companies are just a criminal monopoly, extorting money from people.

IWNL Steve Caress Field Technician
We had Steve Caress a, a field technician call on us today after requesting for someone from IWNL to come and take our water meter reading for us. What a wonderful gentleman, the service we received ourselves and other neighbours who kindly asked him while he was here could he also read their meters was exceptional. Any questions we all had were explained to us by Steve and nothing was too much trouble for him, very rare you get this sort of service from companies these days. Well done Steve and thanks again.

Useless and incompetent
Overcharging each month by DD to the point account nearly £200 in credit after 6 months. Same happened 6 months later but they put our DD up. When I contacted them they offered no help, kept repeating scripted answers and refused to reduce our DD. Bunch of robbing cowboys.
