Better price through the Hughes Website
I called Hughes Insurance for a car quote. The adviser was very friendly and helpful and gave me a price which was higher than my current insurer with no pressure to buy. However I decided to try online through their website and was quoted a better price which was about £50 less. I rang Hughes and got my insurance for the cheaper price giving them the quote number. The advisor went through the policy again to make sure I had everything covered and had great patience when I asked her questions.I decided to buy as I was happy with the extras they provided included in the cover compared to other companies especially their UK and Ireland breakdown cover. I believe if you go online through their website you may get a discounted price.

I eventually got a girl who got me sorted with my car insurance who was pleasant and efficient.
Prior to this I got a guy named Curtis who I had a conversation with on and off for a few days. He questioned me on things I felt had no relation to car insurance. When he called me back he didn’t seem to remember our last conversation and did not follow up on the lower price I was offered online. I almost did not come back.
Note also I was not given the price I was offered online !

Great customer service
I phoned to alter a new policy, I had an issue with my no claims discount, not caused by Hughes but an ongoing matter following a non fault RTC being dealt with by another insurer. I was frustrated, but the lad dealing with my query was awesome and did everything he could to make my situation better. He explained everything in full and detailed exactly what he was he was doing at every step. He was very patient with me and had me at ease during all of the call. I am a returning customer to Hughes Insurance and their customer service and experience is one of the reasons why. I would highly recommend Hughes Insurance.
