Excellent customer service

I had a wonderful experience with the Howdens Branch in Orpington. I dealt with Amanda Kiri, she came out to my home did a kitchen design and patiently explained the process to me with recommendations and examples, i received my quote very quickly and I arranged the visit to the branch with her to see samples of what I picked. Amanda was patient kind and with no hesitation assisted me with my many changes. I felt really comfortable and I was able to freely consider and change my options without being pressured to go ahead. I highly recommend Amanda at Howdens, and thank you Amanda for everything you have done, you made what i felt would be an overwhelming project very smooth. Many thanks Dana

The wife & I last year decided to completely remodel our kitchen (walls down, ceilings down, floors up, rerouted plumbing and electrics etc) and asked our builder of the last 20 years where he would recommend we look. He explained that in terms of quality, price & service he had always used Howdens and although he would fit a Kitchen from any supplier of our choice that's what he would do. He recommended that we speak to James Carpenter at the Orpington branch and so we went along for an initial discussion where we were able to look at styles, colours and other options. James & his manager Glen Westgate followed this up with a meeting at our property where they were able to get a better idea of the space available, high level ideas of the kitchen plan and some specific requirements about appliances, sinks, storage etc. James asked lots of questions, went away and produced a plan with virtual images of how the new kitchen would look from different viewpoints. These were great as they allowed us to really understand what would work for us and the changes we needed to make. We had an ongoing dialogue via email & phone to address changes and spent a couple of hours with James at Howdens' offices to sort out the final details. The communication was excellent and at every stage we were provided with revised images which made it clear what we could expect. James even accomodated a very late change for a wine/beer cooler when the wife told me that I wasn't allowed to put beer in her new fridge ! We were advised of what we were spending throughout our changes and our final Howdens price was significantly cheaper than some of the high level quotes we'd had from their competitors. On commencement of the build, the Howdens plans and images were "mounted" on the window and used by all contractors involved in the project. Now that the project is complete it is incredible to see how James' designs and the actual pictures compare (give or take a few plant pots and the garden furniture you can see out of the window) The units, fittings & appliances are quality and what few issues we've had have been addressed by James & Glen without any fuss. What really matters is that the wife loves her new Kitchen. We were recently passing through Orpington and because we were close to their Howdens branch and we were in the beginning stages of replacing our floor we decided to stop in on a whim to take a look at their LVT options. I'm so glad we did as the customer service has been nothing short of exceptional. We had the great pleasure of interacting with James Glover and he couldn't have been more helpful. He is a true credit to Howdens and went above and beyond to help us all the way through the process. Aside from being incredibly nice and professional, you can tell that he genuinely cares about the customer experience and truly wants to make things as easy as possible for everyone he deals with. Renovation is always a bit stressful so when you are fortunate enough to interact with people like James and all of the fantastic staff at Howdens in Orpington, it goes a long way to alleviate some of that stress! Special mention must also go to the wonderful and charming Monica who has also been so helpful and friendly and went the extra mile to help us solve a last minute conundrum we were faced with! Very helpful, very knowledgeable staff and very good prices

Having searched for a new kitchen Howdens were by far the best product and customer service. Gurpinder helped and gave me loads of ideas for my dream kitchen. Her advice and knowledge made my decision so much easier. From start to finish the whole experience was fantastic. I would definitely recommend.

James Carpenter is absolutely first class in his knowledge and assistance. A wonderful service from him and there should be many JC in the company. Thank you for the help.

Gapinder at Orpington Howdens ,designer was so helpful , I'm a fitter ,The worktops I had needed to be deeper for services, so came on site the next day and agreed , nothing was charged for the 900mm tops , and they arrived with the main order in time ,
And communication is 100% not forgetting a thing

Jamie & James provide an excellent customer service, I used to shop in B&Q, Selco and other brunches but the level of customer service received at Howdens are next level.

Nothing has been too much trouble, she has talked me through every last detail and changed things to get the very best for my kitchen. Alex Ellis of Orpington Howdens assisted our building project, providing complete kitchen for 2x new build/conversion houses. Items included engineered stone flooring and floorboards, sorting and architraves and doors. He was extremely helpful from start to finish. The project took a total of 3 years to complete and we had to change contractors half way through. He was extremely helpful throughout. Even without contact for a good 6-9 months, we managed to pick up where we left off when the project restarted. To keep up the level of customer service over 3 years is excellent work! Thanks Alex! No doubt, I’ll be using yourselves again! Great Job!! 👍

Had a couple of issues with a client and the kitchen Artem and the team at Howdens Orpington were incredibly helpful and provided a great service highly recommend this branch and team

An excellent service from start to finish. Our designer was G and as other reviews have said, she is superb and extremely knowledgable about the products, and what will work in the space. From the initial home visit and measuring up, she listened to our requirements and wishes, but also importantly offered ideas and helpful suggestions throughout. At no point did we feel it was a sales exercise and it wasn’t at all pushy. Any communications we had via email and on the phone were dealt with promptly and clearly. Aside from her expertise, she’s just a really nice down to earth, honest person to deal with!

Our builder had also worked with her many times before and said that she and Howdens Orpington were great to work with. G was in contact with our builder to solve a few challenges specific to my kitchen and supply some extra panels for him to work with.

We also spoke with the manager on occasion who was also very personable and helped us with a few decisions. Everyone we met at Howdens Orpington seemed helpful, pleasant to deal with.

The service didn’t stop at the sales, everything was all delivered correctly and when a couple of items arrived damaged (inevitable that might happen) they were replaced quickly with no hassle. G was always available throughout the process and checked in at the end to make sure we were happy with everything….and it was - we are so happy with our new Howdens kitchen.

Based on our excellent experience I can definitely recommend Howdens Orpington.

If I could leave no star I would. Still no reply or contact from previous review left on 5th May. More errors since and zero accountability from the staff at the branch. James made another error today and resulted in me having to go back to alternative branch twice with zero resolution made. I would have never purchased my kitchen from this company had I known what I know now. Paint is terrible on the doors and the manager told us we are not the only ones to complain and what would he like us to do about it. Amazing sales and customer service training!
