We purchased a Howdens Kitchen via our builders in October 2025 from the Canvey Branch. sadly our builders did not do a good job, But Ladawan from Canvey branch has been so supportive and helpful, helping us to sort out the problems, she is an angel and has even dropped off items that were missing. The Kitchen itself is great and good quality, shame the builder/fitters were not the same

So I wrote a review about Howdens a few weeks ago about problems I had with my flooring. Nothing ever came of it which is what I expected really! Today I read more reviews and see that someone had the same issue as me with their flooring and they got the same result as me!! nothing to do with the product but it was the fitters fault!! That’s a good cop out Howdens!! Blame someone else!!!
Anyway after that review I had another issue with some grey panel doors that i bought at the cost of over £2000! 18months later one if them has a problem with the veneer( not really a veneer but some sort of cheap wrap made to look like veneer) it’s started to peel off at the bottom , so I contacted Howdens and told them and they agreed to replace the door free of charge, I said that I wasn’t going to pay a carpenter to hang a door that I already paid to be hung and they could cover the cost ! Didn’t hear anything for a week so got in touch again and was told they were trying to locate a builder to do it! Left it another weeks or so and got in touch with them again today but no response!!! Like I keep saying their customer service is absolutely RUBBISH!!! Had I of known two years ago what an awful company they are and why poor products they sell and what crap customer service they provide I would never of agreed for my builder to use them!! I Would rather have gone to Wrens!!!

Firstly the positive,Adawan and staff at Canvey are helpful. Adawan,designed our layout and made really good job and everything fitted ,however the after sales team and head office not so much. Second complaint and agree with the elderly gentleman that said steer clear of the super Matt cupboard doors,they are an absolute nightmare,show every tiny mark and really hard to clean and like him I was given a pack of white sponges,thanks for those,I'd already got them from home bargains. Next issue was the blue chipping off cupboard door,which give them their due,they replaced. But!! now to the grey composite sink...omg!! Two months in,got a manager round with Adawan,showed them brown marks that wouldn't clean off,couldn't believe they said warranty on sink was 50yrs (something wrong somewhere)... was told by manager Mark Sales to keep eye on it and get back if got worse,it has. Phoned and photo was sent to whoever,who said inappropriate maintenance,in other words we wasn't cleaning it (how rude), £9,250.00 kitchen and we not going to clean it 🤔🙄. Fast forward,6 months,looks as though we've had it 10 years and still being told to clean it with all different stuff,including them saying bleach solution,😱.Everywhere says not to use bleach in composite sink and if I did,they'd then say,it your fault you've taken the surface off. It's got a guarantee,it's rubbish, so change it instead of keep making excuses. Oh and by the way,my last sink ,black composite was from B&Q had it 12 years ,no problem at less than half price of howdens..rip off!!.Wish I'd purchased kitchen there now. After sales need sorting.Please don't insult me with the usual response....already emailed the address you give and guess what,no reply,had to go in store.

SEPTEMBER 10TH.........AND APART FROM ASKING MY EMAIL USED,STILL NOTHING FROM HOWDENS...

Bought 3no 18mm sealing strips only to find they were 16mm snapped one trying to fit ,returned to store friendly staff refunded on 2.

Quality people good stuff amazing price

Service from Nicola was excellent. Doors very good, competitively priced and in stock. Shame I couldn’t get them with topcoat on. Why can you get some doors finished but not others?

My first time using Howdens I found all the staff very helpful, the planning and design fitted perfectly and the kitchens I purchased of a very high quality .
