Our local Howdens is very customer focused.
All the staff are very helpful and Alex that assisted us with our recent kitchen unit purchase was excellent.
Alex helped us choose the correct units and even offered expert advice on the best installation procedure.

Once the units were fitted they looked fantastic. The design and build quality are first class and we are very happy with the purchase.

Howdens will be our first choice from now on.

Desperately needed a fairly rare ovolo skirting at short notice. Saved 75% on a builders merchant price and approx 20% on internet prices which would have resulted in a delay and therefore a delay in payment. Just by chance I thought I try howdens which was great as they had what I wanted that day, all I had to do was quickly reinstate my account!

My daughter had a howdens designer to plan additional units for the kitchen together with a work and boot room. The quality of the product is very good, however the design experience was extremely poor and very sloppy.

There were 4 errors made:
1. designer had incorrectly measured for wall units above the workstation which meant you couldn’t close the main door to the room. This had to be changed for a 700mm unit instead of the 3 designed 800mm units.
2. It appears that the designer assumed the two alcoves were the same size as the units in the one based upon his design was incorrect and these units had to again be changed .
3. The designer had also designed in wall panelling the only problem was that the order did not contain the wall panelling. Poor communication and not enough attention to detail.

4. Unfortunately there were far too many errors on the design and the delivery order and not sufficient attention to detail was executed.

I have normally had a very good experience with the Bridgend branch but on this occasion the designer and no one else was at fault.

Considerable delay in the installation process was experienced and a lot of unnecessary running around to branches in llantrisant and ely in cardiff was experienced and a lot of time wasting to source the correct units.

I went to Howdens Bridgend to get worktop trims and screws for the door Knobs I had. I gave the 5 star rating as it was an easy experience as the Man who helped me was A1 and could not do any more.He was a credit to you.If I had to say any negative, it would e the price was slightly cheaper on line but to be honest the personal approach and understanding of what I was looking for was more than compensated by the understanding,knowledge and assurances from the man that dealt with me. It was a good experience and deserves its 5 stars for the customer service alone.

We recently bought a Kitchen from Howdens in Bridgend. We had a few issues with damaged items which were exchanged. One item that we ordered didn't turn up, only the draw front. We decided not to fit the missing item and return the draw front back to Howdens. The receptionist then said to us as on their paperwork it's been picked up so we must have it at home.
We told her that this is all that we have as the rest of it wasn't with the kitchen when it was picked up. She then went to speak to the manager, when she returned she said as it's not in the box they won't refund any money for it. I explained that it wasn't us that unpacked it it was the kitchen fitters. At this point I asked if I could speak to the manager. What happened next I was totally not prepared for, in front of all his staff, customers in the shop he spoke to me with utter contempt and rudeness. I was totally embarrassed and felt completely belittled by his manners and his attitude. I have never been treated or spoken to in this way ever. I have contacted customer service and raised a complaint, but looking at some of the reviews I don't have any confidence in getting a reply.

Communication has been excellent, products and delivery have been very good and the online portal makes it easy to access your invoices,

doors, handles, worktops and appliances all in stock delivered within a couple days . Excellent!

Great service as always. Cannot recommend enough. Very responsive team always ready to help.

I have always received excellent service from Howdens, they have been very patient with my last order, I would like to thank the staff for their help.

Dealt With Tasha from Bridgend whilst planning my kitchen. Tasha was helpful, accommodating and nothing was to much to ask for her. She listened to my ideas and made my ideas into reality. Any issues with missing items Tasha was on straight away dealing with it for us. excellent service.

Always have great service at the Bridgend branch of Howdens

Only recently started using howdens, but so far and I’m under every impression it will continue, they’ve gone above and beyond for us at every opportunity. They are by far the most friendly and professional merchant we use and we recommend all of our customers now to shop for their kitchens and doors with howdens.
