I contacted Acton Fraud about this company, after doing some investigation when I couldn't get a booking anywhere, anytime, after paying £85 for a weekend minibreak. Turns out the hotels listed hav... Mehr ansehen

ZERO STAR
ZERO STAR - Regrettably paid over £300 after a very long phone call answering my millions of questions with what i wanted to hear to only then spend 2 weeks trying to get through by phone and email with no reply and when they did finally pick up they told me theres only 2 working in company so cant always answer all calls and I had not contacted them for months or sent any emails despite me using the contact us page. They gave me another email to complain to which would be answered by one of the two people working for them.. theres a surprise. They wanted to charge me £440 to book a 5 night stay at a hotel which was £440 online anyway for same dates talking derogatively to me saying the 5 weeks of breaks I paid only £9 a day for and laughed at me stating what do you think that would get you. Horrible man. Told me I either had to go abroad on their resort directory deals and go to a time share meeting with an autistic son wouldnt happen or pay. I got told I had platinum service options which turns out the photos on there of hotels are for visual purposes only not available as its just a service to provide free extras on your break like breakfast etc after youve paid the suplliment which I was told on the phone I wouldnt have to pay. THe breaks were available for up to 4 people to go flexible from 2 - 14 night breaks to any on their web page and more. They have told me its not refundable and that it was all clearly stated in paperwork I signed but of course its in their usual spiel. Made to feel pretty stupid tbh after I was suspicious from the start and would never give them the time of day really but they convinced me with lies. I will be contacting Watchdog and Martin Lewis and defo Trading standards and seeking a way to get my money back. Nobody laughs at me and takes advantage, taking other peoples money. Hard earned and struggled to save. Stay well away. Any help appreciated on getting my money back.
immoral and dishonest company: DO NOT USE!!!
Despicable and Scandalous company.... don't use!!! I wish I could give minus stars. They took my money and gave me nothing in return.
I payed for a two night break, and due to having a mental breakdown, trying to work during lockdown, looking after my autistic daughter (who was in and out of hospital), when I went to book my break I was not allowed. The so called manager did not listen to my situation and hung up the phone on me twice. An immoral and dishonest company. DO NOT USE!!!
Only giving one star as no option to…
Only giving one star as no option to rate zero star. Been trying to book since middle of last year. In the process of going through trading standards and to claim payback. Regardless of when they tell you the new dates will open you will never receive the short break, just an attempted upsell. Avoid like the plague, one for Martin Lewis.
It's a scam
It's a scam. Tried booking several times. Been waiting for a call back for two weeks to book a break and low and behold nothing available for the dates we want. They even tried telling me that I hadn't activated the account. When I asked for my money back they said it's non refundable. Absolutely disgusting how they scam people. DO NOT TOUCH THEM!!!
They don't even deserve one star
They don't even deserve one star. It's a scam.
They have gone under names of travel shop, escape for less, travel.com, horisontravelsolutiins.
They have bullied me various times over the phone to give more money for free holidays.
Rip off
Booked a 2 day break where I paid for just breakfast £72. Couldnt find any availability when I tried to book. Then couldnt log in to my account after that. Inundated with calls to upgrade. Now Ive just been told that my log in wont work because I only have 10 days left on my voucher and they need 4 weeks notice. So it basically isnt a year voucher is it.
SCAM holidays
SCAM holidays
Paid my £82 for a weekend break. But every time i tried to book the weekend break, it was impossible to book a date but they will call to up-sale a more expensive holiday. This is a complete SCAM. When trying to book online every date was taken, doesn’t matter how far in advance it was. When trying to book over the phone, we would become disconnected due to the company not being based in England but abroad. Do not book with this SCAM company!!!!!
Scam-
My partner paid 82.00 and we have never been able to book a weekend break but have had multiple phone calls attempting to upsell further holidays
Scam beware don't fall for it !

Scam Holiday Club in the UK
Scam - never answer phones, and holidays don't materialise
Avoid these guys like the plague - they also call themselves PLatinum Holidays
Scam! Total scam!
I decided to give this a go back in June and paid £80 for what I hoped would be a two night break in a 4* hotel as my partner and I were planning for a short break away anyway. On repeated attempts to book, there is no availability. Literally none! Nowhere in the country on any date! I've wasted £80 and now get constant calls asking me to upgrade for a two week stay abroad - despite me begging them not to call me and to take me off their marketing list. Please avoid!

Please have nothing to do with this company. They are a complete rip off and also trade under various other names which are all part of a large scam. They advertise hotels that have never heard of them and are evasive if you try to use one of their offers. Also, they ask for yet more money. After some digging I have found that the so called customer service manager who has the initials D.P has had several judgements against his companies for similar practices. He now trades as Premium Breaks which are just as untrustworthy as horizon-holidays.
Terrible service from do not be taken in.
Terrible service.
Booked a break over ten months ago. They were very persistent in getting me to sign up. I have made a couple of attempts to book the promised breaks - each time having to make a first, second and third choice of date and venue. Each time I have made my choices I have been told that none of my chosen dates or venues were available. I've just received a call saying that although my voucher expires in three months time they have no availability between now and then. £70 lost to an appalling scam.
Initially this seems like a good deal…
Initially this seems like a good deal but on closer inspection red flags begin to appear.
My husband and I had a weekend break through them as part of a promotion and the first red flag was when we tried to book the break and the initial places we chose through the website were not available. We were then offered a Holiday Inn. The room looked okay but again, more red flags. The room could have been cleaner, the extractor fan didn't work, nether did the radiator or the room phone. Still had a nice weekend but that was more on us than where we were staying.
We had a follow-up call on our return where Horizon Holidays tried to sell us another deal and we were told we had to make a decision there and then as it was 'live' deal. When we said no the operator said he was going to transfer us then put the phone down, he then called back to ask if we could leave them a review.
Everyone we dealt with was friendly until the last person we spoke to realised we were not going to take any further deals from them. Definitely a too good to be true scenario.
Cheap 2 day break in Chester
Just had a great 2 day break in Chester, all was as described by company, Fab location, lovely room and great breakfast!
I booked a holiday through a holiday…
I booked a holiday through a holiday retailers offer, where just pay for breakfast.
When the voucher came, it was from horizon trsvel. So then I researched them, and saw these bad reviews.
Due to travel in 2 days, been trying to ting and email the hotel kn London ever since, no replies. Yet the hotel exists and us still taking bookings. Unsure what to do as don't want to arrive and find out its not booked in. But paid for train fare attractions etc.
Scam
Scam! Much like the others, they say they can get you a cheap break & then don't simply put! Absolute scam artists!

2 night mini-break
We had a good little 2-day break for 2 including breakfast at a 4-star hotel for £89. Overall pretty pleased with the deal. I would do the 2-night break with them again if the offer was presented. Lots of communication to make sure everything went as it should check-in and out with the voucher no problems at all.
Scam company
Scam company.
Read all reviews and notice all the 5 tarts are left by brand new accounts with only 1review.
They some how got my details and ring me off different numbers 5-6 times a day.
