My experience is do not buy online from this company under name hockeymonkey in texas. I bought the ice skating size 9 but it loosely fit therefore I returned it in the same condition but I only got half the money I paid for. Even when I go online processing return it said you would get back certain amount but once item returned they deducted more than what they said after charging you shipping and returned shipping. In summary best to go to Local store, don't buy online from this company because you would loose more money even though you return it in original condition and this is the only place you can do a review. They don't even have legit site exists on Google for you to do the review so I'm sure there are a lot of people had bad experience but couldn't do the review. Their reviews said 4.6 probably fake.

I purchased hockey equipment for a long time and spend quite some money with them.
Recently four hockey sticks for USD369.- each.
The first stick snapped during the first use (warmup)
So I did my first warranty claim.
And guess what, I received an automated responce to contact the equipment manufacturer.
I recommend strongly not purchasing from Hockey Monkey. Especially hockey sticks, which break faster than you will be able to replace them on your own expense and trouble

I ordered hockey goalie sticks and got the order confirmation. However, a week later they returned the money to my account with no explanation. I called and chatted with a customer service agent and they basically BLAMED ME for THEIR ERROR. They didn't offer me anything in return. Not even a 10% discount.

I used to be a loyal hockey monkey/goalie monkey customer but since they blamed me I am switching to another company.

Support is the worst. Can never get through phone support. Email support was giving me a deal for the hassle I have been going through on an order. Once they offered me the deal they no longer kept in contact.

I ordered Senior socks at 28". They sent 23" - 24" socks. Three attempts on my part to ask for a pre-paid shipping label to return the socks and request proper size have gone without acknowledgement. I confirmed my order details on their website. Still no response from Hockey Monkey. Seems they make it deliberately difficult to make a return because they do not have a webpage option to address an error on their actions.

I ordered a stick form this company, and when it came in it looked like it was refurbished. I thought I was getting a good deal, but I guess the only reason it was on sale is that it looked damages at the bottom end of the shaft. I would not trust this company, you are better of going to a store and seeing what you are buying, because they will send you broken goods, and when you reach out they just say tough luck. I am really disappointed. Use at own risk, just dont be surprised if they send you something altered.

Ordered a pair of skates and at first i was kinda scared cause of all the bad reviews i seen but that must just be people being ignorant. I received my skates very quickly and they were perfect! Definitely recommend.

What terrible customer service. After dealing with a faulty website my order is finally placed, yet I receive a call the next day saying they're out of stock. The only options they give me is two inferior skates at the same price they're listed on their site as if it's a "deal". Then customer service gets passive aggressive with me. Order elsewhere

Item returned to sender 2weeks ago. I have spent over 2hrs on the phone but I can't get through anyone. I have sent 5 messages but I have gotten no response.

Do no buy from this website!!!

Horrible if I could leave no stars I would. They will promise you shipping dates that come an go. They will cancel shipping you paid extra for and you will be notified by fedx it was cancelled by sender. You will call over and over and be fed a bunch of lines they will not answer direct questions. They will not compensate you for a item you are waiting endlessly for. They will not try to keep you happy. They will fight with you if you try to get a refund. Do not purchase anything from this company. Do not pay for express shipping. Move on. Hockey community is tight and word spreads like wildfire when you mistreat a customer.

Bought a set of goalie pads and they left the antitheft device on it and it is extremely hard to remove and can leak ink every where if you are not careful. It took them over a week to respond by email and they told me to use a magnet, which I tried but didn't work.

If I could leave 0 stars I would!!! My box was left at the bottom of my driveway in the pouring rain. Paid $15 for shipping. They won’t refund my money nor will fedex!! Will never order from them again!!!

Terrible service, stole from me basically.
Charging me 2 times for shipping orders for items they sent incorrectly.
Buy anywhere else but here.
They sent wrong items and charge you twixe for sending you the correct item.

I wish I had read these reviews before placing an order...I am frustrated and angry that I didn't. This place DOES NOT HAVE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I called for hours!!! Nobody answers the phone, no email reply, NOBODY works in customer service. I called for more than two hours, 14 calls, and if you opt for the callback it's automated saying NOBODY can help you and that they are too busy! WHAT A JOKE! They are a complete waste of time, much better places out there, try ProHockeyLIfe.ca Hockeymonkey.ca are a complete waste any of your time. Unreal!

Unfortunately I did not read reviews of this company before I purchased. All the negative reviews are true. I got the wrong size of an item, but now there is no way to return it, called, emailed, messaged through Facebook. You never get a response as soon as you ask for a Return Authorization number. Hockey Monkey is absolutely brutal...what a scam!

I recently purchased a helmet from hockey monkey.ca and have had zero success returning it for a refund. This company requires the purchaser to contact customer service to receive an authorization number to return a purchase item, yet attempts to contact customer service go nowhere, making it impossible to get authorization before the 30 day return limit. This company has a terrible customer service department and I caution anyone considering purchasing a product from hockey monkey.ca to tread carefully, and preferrably shop elsewhere. I'd rate this company - 100 if I could; the worst purchasing experince I've ever had - bar none.

I paid $45 for next day shipping on a $200 intermediate bauer stick and stick extender for my daughter so she could use in a game after breaking her stick.

stick came next day but the extender came the next week.

when I contacted customer service they said "sorry for the inconvenience but the shipment went out on time".

Terrible customer service! Go to Ice Warehouse, Pure Hockey or any other, unless you want to be annoyed with a place that does not care about their customers.

Horrible, spend your hard earned money elsewhere. Zero correspondence on an order that was placed 2 weeks ago and it STILL HASN'T LEFT THEIR WAREHOUSE! Who runs this company? MONKEYS INDEED 🙈

The item said it was a LOOSE FITTING shirt. When we received it, the shirt was a tight fitting spandex shirt. When I contacted Customer Service to return the product, "Will" said he would waive the $10 return shipping fee since the description was incorrect. 10 days later I received my refund for $11.78 LESS than the price I paid. When I asked why I didn't get my full refund back, "Will" said they didn't make me pay for the return shipping, but I had to pay for shipping for it to arrive at my house. That is so messed up, because the original shipping was FREE! I will make sure we never use their business again!
