Brilliant service. I have been using HK for nearly 4 years and so far so good. Motors, propellers etc arrive very quickly in 2 days when ordering from the uk with parcel force 48, or next day if you use parcel force 24. 3 days from the European warehouse and 3 days from the Chinese warehouse if you pay extra for dhl express - other wise it's 2 weeks.

Hazardous goods like lipo batteries sometimes take longer but that's because HK has to use a hazardous goods courier which is very understandable.

The website could be easier to navigate, but it's not an issue.

The motors, batteries and propellers are high quality parts just like the branded products but for a fraction of the price.

Paid for 2-4 day delivery and items arrived after 8 days, when challenged they said they could not refund and I would have to claim from the Post Office, then they advised me they used an alternative carrier and could not provide me with the name of the company or any tracking details.
As the items arrive too late I decided to return them, I got a signature 7 days ago to say they had been delivered, although their websire retrns status is still showing "Waiting for Items" I have been advised that the takes up to 2 weeks to be updated. The goods then have to go through appraisal at their warehouse then a store credit or refund will take approx 7 days. If you can afford to let someone have your money for up to six weeks then this is the company to use.
DO NOT TRY TO SAVE A FEW QUID BY USING THIS COMPANY< PAY THAT LITTLE BIT EXTRA AND US A REPUTABLE UK COMPANY. PERIOD!!!

Been using them for a few years found them very helpful only problem now is their postage costs are a bit high

I've had some not so great experiences with some things, but in the whole hobby king does what it says on the tin. Realise that your paying fairly low prices, for not top of the range items. For small foamys, batteries, esc and motors, never really had an issue, and on the whole they have made the hobby a lot more affordable. Ive had some junk planes from them, but mostly had some great ones that I've flown for years.

"Turnigy Evolution Digital AFHDS Radio Control System W/TGY-IA6C Receiver (Black) (Mode 2) Arrived dead, will not turn on at all! Their answer to shipping back this garbage which came from Netherlands: "Our EU warehouse does not expect returns. Please be advised we do not cover shipping fees." So now I have to pay for shipping to another continent because they sent me a broken peace of garbage. Never again!"

I have been a customer of this company for over 10 years and have been happy just until now. I have ordered a Christmas present through them but the package never arrived and suddenly the package been retuneret to them .. now they want me to pay to get the package sent again. which is not fair !!! because I have paid for it supplied once before ... Hobby King refers me to contact GL about this case ... Gls says that it is Hobby King to be contacting them .. but Hobby King refuses to contact GLS ..

So the problem can not be solved

Hobby King is obviously not a company that will take their customers seriously ..

because of this unresolved problem position I have asked to get all my money back with it, they will not give me all my money back ...

One thing is for sure I never buy something from them more and encourage everyone else to stay away from Hobby King

These people are shocking!
I ordered three batteries from their European Warehouse and paid for the goods and carriage.
The product turned up from Hong Kong.,. Together with a request for £23 customs.... whilst I have protested that the goods were ordered from the European Warehouse it simply fell on deaf ears....err well you know what I mean.
So that was £80 for 3 batteries which would normally cost £42 if they had been available. Utter rubbish service.
In addition I ordered a Volantex ASW28 glider from them. Excelkent value but damaged, I emailed them... guess what, no reply...

Hobbyking as a whole are quite decent. Prices are very competitive. Mistakes do happen but they do fix them.

UK warehouse is a godsend as you don't have to worry about taxes. Yes people Taxes are real. You may have to pay import taxes (may because out of the last 10 orders from China warehouses, I was only asked to pay tax on 1 parcel), on purchases made from outside the EU...oh wait you wanted out of that too...*sigh* so don't be surprised when Her Royal Highness wants her dues.

Have been buying from them for years and only once did I have a problem (RC Model arrived with failed electronics) However all was replaced promptly.

Hobbyking are scammers they deliver damaged items and they say there is no fee but Fedex send them to your home. DO NOT BUY HERE!!!

The item I ordered was delivered and I was asked to pay £35 import tax at the door even though this was not mentioned on their site (it is buried away in their terms and conditions) I assumed that, as I was ordering from a co.uk. site, the item would come from the U.K. but this was not the case, this was shipped from China. in addition to this, the item was not as described, they substituted a vastly cheaper version with none of the features that their site stated that it had.
Then things got drastically worse when this got to the 'customer service' portal. I described the issue and they stated that they would send me a replacement of the missing item. I explained that the item was not as described on their website and they told me that they had amended the website! Long story short, it took two weeks of daily emailing back and forth during which time, their approach was clearly willful ignorance, they went back on their statement to replace it and then offered a insultingly partial refund. In a nutshell, they lied, repeatedly and I had to fight tooth and nail to get something even close to a satisfactory solution. a week after this, the product caught fire and I threw it in the bin as I had had quite enough of their support and really didn't want to go through the whole thing again. I ordered replacement parts from Oversky and they were much better, I had a small issue and this was sorted immediately.

I recently received a delivery from HobbyKing by mistake. I contacted them to make arrangements to return the items. I was informed that their policy was for me to post them back at my own cost, and upon receipt, they would evaluate whether or not I deserved a refund for postage costs. This "refund" would take the form of "points" (in-store credit), therefore, I would need to purchase something to avail of it. An exercise in wasting my money.

Overall, their demeanor was unpleasant, and their return policy forced me to bear all the cost and risk. One star out of five (because I can't award zero). Avoid this company.
