Ordered on Jan 10 and they charged my…

Updated: Upon asking to cancel my order, HDO did send my order priority. I won't order again, but it is not a scam, just an apparently overwhelmed business.

Ordered on Jan 10 and they charged my card. Then nothing...no status emails, etc. I logged in and it shows the order pending for 3 WEEKS because they are overwhelmed.

Starting to think this is a scam.

Outstanding customer service

Had an issue with package being scanned at post office. It was showing a sipping label was created but had not been recieved at ppst office. Holly from customer service stayed in contact with me until the package was finally scanned in my town as out for delivery. Because of her going above and beyond in my opinion I will be a customer for life!!!

TOP NOTCH!

The first words that come to mind are Top Notch. It's funny, nowadays you go into big box stores like REI and you're dealing w/ kids that are just trying to pay their college tuition that don't really know what they're selling. However when I talked to the HDO guys I got the opposite! Their knowledge was great and they got me into the best Salomon running shoes i've ever had. Good prices, good people, Thanks HDO Sport! Godspeed!

Do not use HDO

I purchased shoes two days ago and my transaction was declined. After checking my bank statement today though, the $100+ dollar charge was still processed on my account. I called HDO Sports and they had no record of this, meaning I had to contact my bank to resolve this problem. I would not recommend the HDO Sports service.

This company steals your money!

This company is terrible. They clearly have a broken process and unwilling to really research or they are thieves and holding onto my money. On January 8 I placed an order for a product directly from their website. On January 10 I receive an email stating they did not have the product. I replied back confirming they have credited my card because I saw the charge on the card. I receive an email back from Sarah Brown stating the order was cancelled and the card was never charged. I contacted my card company and confirmed the card was charged... I replied back to Sarah informing her my card company said the card was charged. She replied back that because the item was never shipped, the card was never charged and it must be a pre-authorization hold. Which has been released and now it is up to my card provider to return the money. Shouldn't she know if they did a pre-auth or not? In any case, my card provider stated it was not a pre-auth. I waited over a week and still did not have my money and emailed Sarah again to escalate the issue because I felt she was missing something. She replied back and stated she researched and my card was not charged and it is my card provider holding the money. It has now been 3 weeks and I still don't have my money... I filed a dispute via my card provider but now have to wait another 30 days for anything to happen. That will be 2 months without my money. I believe HDO Sports is doing this intentionally because they are probably having financial issues... this allows them to use my money for 2 months interest free before having to return it to me. THIEVES!

I placed an order on April 26

I placed an order on April 26, and the item hasn't even shopped yet. Their communication is terrible, their phone goes unanswered. I've placed a claim with Amazon Pay, do not place an order with this company.

Great Customer Service

I ordered a pair of Prana pants from HDO Sports. They were on sale and my expected delivery was to be 3-8 days from the order date. Prana delayed the shipment for almost a month as they were in the middle of a sale. In the end, HDO gave me a 2 day shipping benefit and another 10% off. HDO was in a difficult position with the manufacturer but they kept the customer's interest first and foremost.
Great Customer Service! I recommend this shop and will also tell my friends.

Definitely buy from Authorized dealers

I bought two items within the past year that have since broke, one from this company and one from another company. The other other item (Oakley Goggles) I got a good deal on, where as the North Face backpack I got from HDO Sport I ended up paying full retail. Both orders were effortless and seamless, arriving in good time. Here's the end difference, the goggles from the other company I am completely out, turns out they are not authorized dealers (so to save $15 it ended up costing me the price of the entire item) where as the backpack HDO are authorized dealers, assisted me with the warranty claim, and went the extra mile to get North Face to replace the backpack no charge. Needless to say I am sticking to authorized dealers for big purchases from now on.
