This is the second time I have used Harrogate Holidays and the standards and service have been of a very high quality.

Really smooth process. We were allowed to get on with the holiday without hiccups. Responses to emails quickly sent with info needed. Nice accommodation

Recently spent 3 nights at "Diamond House" in Harrogate..a property belonging to Harrogateholidays.co.uk. As always, the property was everything the brochure promised, and gave our Australian companions a true taste of elegance in this lovely town. We have used harrogate holidays many times and have always found the houses to be first class. Will be booking again before long!

emailed Friday evening for info they got back to us on the Monday, and they were very helpful they had good knowledge of the cottage, were able to tell us about parkin but just forgot to tell us about the steep hill we had to climb to go to town centre.

This flat is ideal if you are attending an event in the exhibition centre, less than 5 minutes walk away. It has free wifi and three flat screen TV's. It looks like it has just newly been refurbished, all the fittings were of a very high quality. My only slight criticism is that in the larger bedroom there is a fire door with a window at the top with no blind or curtain so the room got bright at first light, other than that it was perfect.

From reading the reviews (although there were only a couple before booking) on here and looking at pictures of Harrogate serviced apartments (Orchid Suite/ Flat 7), there were high expectations of this place. On arrival however, things were very different. We are not individuals who are hard to please but the online presentation of the apartment’s paints a very different picture to reality. Here are some of the issues we found with our apartment;

- The place was unclean, generally dirty and grotty. We felt that whoever was responsible for this job did not try very hard and minimal effort was made. We also feel that the request to leave the apartments as it was upon arrival (although we have no issues with that) alongside the general cleanliness of the place made us assume that they wish to do very little and maybe none of the cleaning just the bedding washing. Also had to strip the bedding ourselves. Was annoying to find that all the cleaning products provided for us to clean were nearly empty!!
- Hairs. We found hairs in the bathroom and bedrooms. In drawers, on the floor and sides.
- Doors, walls and pictures were stained. Not very well maintained furniture.
- When first looking at the bed, we were shocked to see a dead bug/fly on top of the duvet!! There were also dead flies in the net curtains.
- The stench of the place was not pleasant. This resulted in purchasing air freshener for our apartment. This also was the same for the hallway. The hallway was dark, dull and unwelcoming.
- The info pack stated that we could use the provided refuse sacks for our rubbish. There was none provided as stated, and we had to purchase this ourselves. We stayed for three nights and only one toilet roll was provided. Maybe one more would be sufficient to guests!
- The sofa was very small and uncomfortable, unable to properly relax.
- Listed on the services section of the apartment’s state ‘ipod dock’- however there was no facility to use your ipod, only radio/CD. So the ipod wasted a trip.
- Wasn’t ideal for the boiler to be located in the main bedroom next to the bed. Made an annoying ticking noise constantly.

These apartments serve only a functional purpose and are very central, close to shops, restaurants and amenities. They were not value for money, very overpriced for what we received and would not stay here again. A primary reason for this review is to hope that others don’t have the same expectations as we did and become disappointed. Additionally, we have paid roughly the same price per night to stay in the Harrogate boutique apartments which were a world away from these, having luxury, value for money, cleanliness all in one. There was literally no fault with these and we would recommend these if you wish to stay somewhere where an effort to please guests is made.

Our flat was wonderful! Newly remodeled and in a perfect location! Excellent value!

Stayed in this flat when i was going to my neices wedding,the flat had everything we all needed for the stay very clean,good veiw of the front of the street and nearby for all shops and places to eat,on our arrivial it was late at nite and we didnt have time to shop,but to our surprise in the flat there was tea coffee hot chocolate milk and sugar also small biscuits,thanks for makeing our stay good,i will sure book again when visiting harrogate

All was satisfactory, minor details, curtailed parking for flat ( balcony) 4 resulted in car rear well over the pavement, thought there might have been a second tea towel, prefer ice cube tray to pack of ice " balls ". Despite request not to smoke on the balcony cigarette end remained on balcony presumably from previous occupant and balcony not cleaned. If designing bathroom again toilet roll holder could be better placed. MJD

The Parliament Street apartments are great for those wanting to have a central base to explore Harrogate. They are light, open and sociable spaces and I would reccommend them for groups of adults or families. The Apartments are a stones throw from the centre of town with all its shops but cross the street and you can be in the open park space. The apartments are on a busy street and restaurants and bars are on your doorstep, there can therefore be some noise later on at night but for those wanting to experience Harrogate by day and also see what it has to offer for nightlife this shouldn't be a deterent. Thanks to the staff at Harrogate holidays for making the booking process smooth and stress free. Great service.

Wharfe View Cottage may well have been the nicest place we ever stayed. Well equipped, comfortable and really clean. Superb views from almost everywhere, very enjoyable to have the Wharfe valley spread out below when you're just watching TV! Becky was easy to reach and very pleasant and helpful. Harrogate Holidays' Alison also helpful with a phone query. Booking through the firm unproblematic. We lived in Harrogate for years and were back visiting friends and old haunts, so knew where to go. The only thing which would perhaps make the cottage perfection would be a hand-held shower upstairs. We didn't use the fixed-head shower upstairs as we are not so keen on those, but the shower downstairs was very good indeed. All in all a very enjoyable experience and highly recommended.

Really good apartment very clean. Seemed newly furnished / decorated. One of the toilets was out of order although that was no hardship as there was another loo. Husband enjoyed jacuzzi, it was only big enough for one!

Whilst nicely renovated it could have done with a good clean. Plenty of places needed a good dust, cobwebs needed to be cleared and the kitchen floor could have done with a wash as it was very sticky. Plenty of spiders and several slugs to share cottage with which was not very pleasant. The description not very accurate as the two entrances were either up 6 really deep steps(not straight off the road as described) or 15 deep steps depending which door you used. Would not be very good for disabled or the infirm. Steps more or less went straight on to the main road which was quite busy and noisy. Not quite the quite cottage we had hoped for. Whilst cosy, we needed heating on as it had a damp feeling to it - I know weather has been bad but did not really expect that in July. Over all felt that the money spent on it did not meet expectations. The welcome pack was a nice touch, but perhaps a better effort could have been made to make the property cleaner.

Apartment in great location for town centre. Own parking place. Very efficient and helpful service for a last minute booking.

Whilst dealing with Harrogate holidays was good, the property that we hired for the week did not fully meet our expectations. The property was in a good location, owners were friendly but one of my main requisites when booking was the avialability on WIFI, this was only available on the 1st day after which no connection could be accessed and I had to rely on the local McDonalds outlet some 2 miles away. This apparently was due to a BT problem but for it to persist for a week seems very odd, I cant imagine such a lengthy outage in Australia occurring.

From the moment we contacted Harrogate Holidays we were made to feel as if they cared about us and when we arrived at Strawberry House this became a reality. The house was lovely, beautifully clean and with a thoughtful welcome tray. The beds were extremely comfortable and we had a really great family weekend. There were books, games, a CD player and a dishwasher!
We will definitely be booking with them again.

Harrogate Holiday Lettings has access to a great temporary market (Americans and Brits consistently come to Harrogate for temporary business). If they improved certain business practices they could improve profits significantly.
1. Website does not work properly for reserving online
2. Company requires payment up front, most temporary assignments reimburse employees, so getting a bill at the end like a hotel works better for them.
3. Credit card machine seems outdated and requires billing address etc, creates another inconvenient step for government credit card holders, why isn't the long number, expiration date, and security code enough?
4. Staff handed my particular reservation situation over between three ladies, it was confusing and I often had to recap the situation to get my request across.
5. Company could market better online with sites like (Rightmove, TDY housing, and AHRN).
5. I would sincerely love to recommend this company to my colleagues, but I will have to warn them of these (completely reversible) practices first.

We stayed at Parliment Street apartments for 2 nights, they are absolutely beautiful. Great service by the owners when we were struggling to work out how to get the keys! The little touches like having everything there to make a hot drink when we arrived after a long day at work were very welcome. Whilst in Harrogate we visited La Tasca (tapas) - it was tremendous. There were 15 in our party and the service was excellent. I would definitely go back there. After La Tasca, we came across Vanilla Bar. Again, the service was excellent. The drinks were half price on the Friday and to be honest we thought it might be a bit of a gimmick but it absolutely wasn't. The owner Rob was lovely with us, played the kind of music we liked and was all round a great guy. He made us feel very welcome and took time to chat to us all. I've visited Harrogate a few times now and I always thoroughly enjoy it. I've visited with my fiance and with the girls and I'm never disappointed. I'm sure it wont be long until I'm back!

Website description of property was accurate. Great to be able to book on daily basis. Website easy to navigate. Email communication from company was prompt and helpful. Only minor problem was that the email address given for the property owner was inaccurate. Property was high quality & well equipped.
