I wish to make the usual disclaimer. I have been ordering things from Hannants for several years now and I have not had one single problem. For example, I ordered a very rare model kit on the 12 of the month and it was delivered in excellent condition on the 15th.

Here's how to deal with Hannants :-
1) create an account,
2) log in *before* doing anything, if you search for an item then log in, your search is lost (!),
3) check the stock levels,
4) only order stuff that is actually in stock.

Checked online to confirm they are open Wednesdays as they are closed Monday and Tuesday. Arrived 12.30 pm on Wednesday and the place was shuttered. It now appears to be defunct.

Hannants or Horizon Products are a complete joke. I paid for next day delivery, telephone enquiries days later led nowhere. People promised to call back, but never did. Emails went unanswered. They repeatedly leid about delivery, trying to blame Parcel Force. When I asked for my money back I got nothing either.
Do not use this company.

I was a Hannants customer for years, but not any longer. I had a few minor issues with an order and they refused to answer any emails. There are other suppliers out there offering better prices and better customer care. their website states; 'We are modellers. Your guarantee of service.' - not in my experience.

I've been ordering from Hannants for a couple of years and I never had a problem. They answer fast to all queries posted. All problems, not many, were solved fast in a satisctory manner. I do recomend this hobby store.
In addition, they offer good prices and a varied stock of models.

I come into this shop on a regular basis, every time I go there they are always really helpful and encouraging.
They give me tips and advice to help me improve my modelling skills. They have even gone to the point of putting a few of my models on display.
Really nice people, best model shop around.

I too have had my emails to them completely ignored and so I won't trouble in availing myself of their nonexistent services !!

I have been ordering from Hannants for many years. As at today no problems have been encountered. Swift delivery, reasonable prices, extensive range. Happy to do business in the future.

The simple answer is no! despite indications to the contrary (offering 24Hr parcel delivery service etc.) any chances of getting even a basic order in a timely manner are non-existent. Where Hannant's competitors are offering ever faster turn rounds on orders Hannant's clearly do not care. They refuse to answer e-mails and when they do they are often obtuse to the point of being rude. I for one have had enough of them. Despite being a local supplier it is far to stressful dealing with them. A poor company giving distance selling a really bad name.

Ordered some glue and hasegawa glass canopy (awful quality had to throw away) also charged £6.50 for next day tracked postage (didn't give option just to post for couple of pounds) arrived after 3 days really let down by awful quality canopy!

This is a good website. I bought a rare book. The transaction was fine. Delivery time wasn't the quickest.

bought from them on several occasions but stopped and deleted my account after i was ignored, looked down at and offended by their "costumer support" which plainly told me that they don't feel obliged to give their costumers an account for their action - it's their way or the highway attitude.

I called the Colindale store as I had ordered some kits and kit parts for my Son and I.
Their website stated that the opening hours were until 7pm on Thursdays and Fridays, I called the shop at about 17:15 to ensure they were still open, as I have previously gone out my way from Essex to get to the Shop and it has been closed past 17:30 on a previous Thursday. The gentleman told me that he hadn't had a sale in 1 and a half hours and he was shutting shop at 18:00. I stated that I was desperate to get this package as I was eager to get to work with the kits this weekend, however he stated that I would not get there in time as he was closing the shop at 18:00. I sated that if I left straight away I would get there a little after 18:10.
However he seemed to shoot this idea as he wanted to get to Ilford as it was going to take him 2 hours.

There was an issue in the M25 at jnc 23 so it would of taken him longer this night anyway, he could of waited as I did try to make it clear that I was wanting this package. Unfortunately I will not be able to pick this up, and will not use their service again.

Another issue with hannants was at the IPMS scale model world, where they were confused about the orders, they had their detail stuff all mixed up, their plastic kits were all over the place and there was total confusion with the staff as they tried to sort out peoples orders. I was finally able to speak to a member of staff as to where their detailed resin kit part were and he pointed me to a small box of aircraft detail parts, I had thought that they would of brought most of their extensive selection of detail model parts but it was a shame it was a tiny collection.

Bought two sets of decals one set was fine, the other were clearly ancient stock, with a white residue on the printing and signs of water damage. Emailed Hannants requesting return and refund, and was completely ignored. after a couple of email's I gave up and reclaimed the money through paypal. They ignored paypal too, so (Eventually) I got the refund under paypal's default system.
Clearly these people are happy to send out rubbish and ignore any complaints in the hope that people will give up. I certainly won't use them again. I advise you not to as well, and I have forwarded all the emails to their local TSO for their consideration
