I've always loved Hand & Lock and the beautiful works they create. Which is why I was excited to do a course.
The gold work course was OK. The style of learning is not for everyone as I found it rushed. We had interns in our class which I feel were taken more interest in than the paying learner. I think it's a bit pricey for what it is and what you get.

As a qualified and experienced teacher of practical subjects, I am able to judge the teaching techniques of fellow tutors critically and was very impressed with Juliet Ferry's s approach and performance.

She was very generous with her time, was prompt in responding to requests for additional and individual attention to correct wrong techniques and steer us towards achieving the goals set within each task. She was invariably patient, charming and professional, throughout.

Juliet has set a very high bar for those of us who aspire, one fine day, to become half as good as she demonstrably is. I felt lucky and privileged to have been taught by such an accomplished expert extraordinaire! Watching Juliet demonstrate in slow motion and at speed was a joy to behold.

Had a wonderful experience completing a Tambour Beading weekend workshop. Friendly and welcoming staff, excellent facilities and teaching- step by step instruction and one-to-one tutorial advice. Highly recommend the workshop- good value and great fun!!
