Placed an order over a week ago and have no information regarding the order being shipped and no tracking sent- I had also opted for 1-2 days delivery. I have sent an email to their ‘Customer service’ but had no response and order has not been fulfilled.

This is not a false review, and it also not the first review saying this from other customers. You have not replied to my email when I have asked for an update. Feel free to cancel my order and send a refund. Also very unprofessional response from the company.

UPDATE--Order cancelled!!! You make no mention that we were still on time and that the order was NOT placed over a week (see dates below) ago so this very much a false review. Order cancelled and refunded. You have wrongfully implied you were expecting a 1-2 day delivery but did not read delivery terms on every page of our website and on your ORDER CONFIRMATION. This matter is now closed and I hope citing FALSE information looking to damage family businesses makes you happy. We have emailed you off line to.
Unfortunately yet another false review from someone that has rushed to TrustPilot instead of reading the confirmation order sent to them. The order is packed and ready to go but we now reserve the right to cancel and refund given this false and defamatory review!

We apologise for being late and we reached out to the customer to formulate best way forward as the first we learned of a wish for cancellation and refund was via this platform. Direct cancellation and confirmation of same was only received on 22nd September 2026 (The review was written on 19th September). We respectfully ask that rather than leaping to review sites with intent to cause damage, clear direct communication is much easier and less frustrating for all concerned.
No delivery information and no communication
I placed an order on the evening of the 2nd of September
I’ve had no delivery information sent, emailed twice with no response.
It’s a shame as the products look good

Bisley Puppy dummy
Ordered Bisley 1/2 lb puppy dummy. Seem very sturdy and our pup was very interested. Hoping this will prove that he will pick up training easily. Only had them for a short time so need to continue. Well made and very quick delivery. Would recommend

Ordered the rope slip lead 1.5m natural 10mm came within a week of ordering and is a great quality. Will definitely be ordering off here again to try other products from them.

No communication or customer service
No communication or customer service. Ordered an item start of August, way past the 5 day promise, if I didnt chase it I wouldnt recieve it at all. Due to the time scale, I had to go get a lead elsewhere. Wanted to return it and been informed need to pay half the price of the item to return it. Asked for this to be looked into, no response to my email. Do not order from here, go to your local pet shop! Apart from petsathome.

We have tried to identify this customer and requested information but without response. So unfortunately we are unable to make comment as we are not familiar with the incident mentioned. Given the highly defamatory remarks we suspect this to be false and malicious. As ever support from Trustpilot is non existent and makes a mockery of their review site.

Sorry that your order didn't arrive. We have now reviewed this matter and it has been a combination of our own late despatch and very poor performance by our courier partner. We have tracked the despatch today and can see that , eventually, your order is due to be with you today between 1045hrs and 1445hrs.
Given the VERY poor experience you have received we think it is only right and proper that we fully refund your order and carriage, this has been done. The product when received is yours to keep and use, if still of use.
We apologise again and thank you for bringing this to our attention
Poor communication and service
Order was placed on 6th August for four bags of treats for training . After emailing twice , Craig Monks replied on 12th August apologising for the delay due to a surge in demand and said “If Ok with you I am going to split the delivery and send the items that are in stock today and the balance in a couple of days when we our latest manufacturing batch arrives” There had been no indication until that email from Craig on the 12th that there were any items out of stock- however I was happy to wait now that I had received a response assuring me the goods would be sent out . The two bags of treats that were supposed to be sent on the 12th eventually arrived on the 19th ( Royal Mail did not confirm receipt of the package from GDC until the 17th ) . Despite a further three emails asking when the balance would arrive I have received no response . I do not want to cancel my order - I just want the goods I paid for and a response to my emails to say when they will arrive . It’s a shame that the service has been poor as I try to support family businesses whenever I can .

Sorry our service wasn't what it should have been. You had utilised our Buy 4 get 1 free offer and as such we have refunded one of the missing products and cancelled the rest of your order.
We are always confused when clients write how they want to support family businesses but then write 1 star reviews which do the exact opposite?

First the positive. The dog treats are awesome. Perfect size for my dog and he loves them. No upset tummy for the change over which I did not expect. They smell fresh, and great to scatter and let your dog sniff them out. Really good quality training treats.
Now the only negative I feel communication could have been better.
I would suggest an auto reply to emails which says. thanks for contacting us we would aim to reply in 3 working days or something along those line. This would have stoped a follow up email by myself. And one less email to be read.
One item was out of stock when communicated to myself they sent out what was in stock but did not give an eta on second delivery. To save on delivery cost for the company I would have suggested a similar product that was in stock. This would not please everyone but I would have been happy to replace.
Will I use again? definitely the treats are top notch. And worth every penny

Guaranteed despatch let down
Order on evening of 3rd, chased on 11th. Initial email saying already despatched. Carrier informed despatch the next dat at approx. 4pm.
8 gun dog dummies arrived nest day in a flimsy plastic mailer. One dummy was hanging out. Thankfully all 8 there. One dummy without the plastic ball.
Webpage says 5 days despatch guarantee but this doesn’t seem to be worth the web paper it’s written on. I bought upon reading this! Let’s face it most places despatch immediately anyway. Blame slipped responsibility towards carrier
Although I have the product I feel totally let down by their service.
I added a star because the product quality appears good. Buy if you can afford to wait.
I wish I had read the reviews here.

Thanks for the review and for anyone reading this we would like to add some clarity.
The order was placed at 1658hrs on 3rd August 2026 and as such Working day 1 to manage it was 4th August. We dispatched on 11th August and advised same at 1435hrs This is exactly in line with our 5 working day dispatch promise which we make visible on every page of our website and as part of the confirmation sent by SMS to Mr Hardy at 1658hrs on 3rd August.
Unfortunately, Mr Hardy didn't leave an email address at time of placing the order and as such did not receive the regular updates sent throughout the process. So we refute the claim made above referencing "Our promise" as only being defamatory.
Further, we are proud of our 4.4 Trustpilot Rating, our 4.9 Google rating and our top 5% rating by JudgeMe. It is always disappointing when customers only read the negative reviews rather than the overwhelming number of positive ones.
Our bags are rated to carry up to 30Kgs and as such are most definitely not flimsy and we can provide supplier certification to confirm this. Handling by Royal Mail may have caused damage and if so photographs of the damage and a complaint to Royal Mail could have been made. Choosing packaging is a mixture of finding the right bag and also leaving minimal environmental impact.
Finally, with regards to the inaccurate comment about "most places despatch immediately" this is simply not the case amongst specialist suppliers such as Gundog Catalogue and we make VERY CLEAR our despatch promise to avoid misunderstanding and disappointment.
We strongly believe that buying from a highly reputable UK private family company is always better than dealing with a global giant.
So with all of the above in mind, we do not agree with the client having been let down and would reiterate that had an email been left, Mr Hardy would have received more information
Shipping takes forever
Shipping takes forever. Still waiting for a lead I paid shipping for 10 days ago. Will go elsewhere for my gundog supplies from now on since my labs will all be walking to heel off lead by the time I get it…

Products excellent, let down by service - particularly communication
Easy purchase and slip leads bought are of good quality and appear to be good value for money.
Order appeared to be going to schedule, however I ordered 2 leads and only none was delivered. This would not have been a problem, however there was no communication suggesting that the order was coming in two shipments. Despite attempting to contact GDC by phone, email and online chat, I couldn't get a response. It took 8 days to get a response regarding this, but still have not been provided tracking details for the remainder of my order.
