I was after a pair of walking shoes
I was after a pair of walking shoes, which I have now purchased. The assistant (Charlie) was knowledgeable and attentive. I was offered several pairs to try and the merits of each was explained. I have used the express store in preference to the larger outlet on Pride Park (which I originally tried) as the service was more focused and easier to try multiple shoes on without having to track down the assistant in the larger store to try other pairs.

Frustrating
The service was generally ok but the assistant left the security tag on a jacket I had purchased. The alarm did not trigger and I only discovered it at home. Therefore I had to make a second journey back to the shop to have it removed. Frustrating.

Great advice and products
Visited the Go outdoors express store in Derby city centre. I was pleasantly surprised by how all the staff were so friendly and helpful. We were buying equipment for my daughters DofE trip and we had the best advice provided by Charlie who was working upstairs. He took lots of time going through all the options but never pressured us to buy. We brought some great items and Charlie even reminded us about the DofE savings which is really wonderful and helpful. I can really recommend this store and Go outdoors you must be congratulated on your employees and their customer service skills. Thanks especially to Charlie for his patience as we asked so many questions.

Hiking Boots
Attended the Express GoOutdoors store in Derby City Centre at the Weekend. Greeted by Charlie upstairs whom was really professional and was extremely knowledgable regarding hiking and all things walking. My daughter needed hiking boots for a charity trip to Nepal this Summer and he assisted us in choosing the correct hiking boots and the best ones to suite our budget. He was realistic in what kind of footwear she needed which I was really grateful about. Charlie was really knowledgeable about boots including, sizing, when is best to try them on, breaking them in and how to care for the boots as well which will help keep them going for years to come. Overall, we had an excellent experience - Thank you Charlie 👍🏻

I don't like your pricing
I don't like your pricing, in the Derby store you display a price on the item or racking but at the till the discount or price alteration doesn't match. Obviously, you tempt the customer in at a reduced price in the hope they leave not knowing they paid full price.
