Ordered two hats in three different…

Ordered two hats in three different colors and was sent 6 in the same color. Called customer service and I was talked down to in a angry tone. The customer service rep said he was sending me an email regarding the return and still nothing. This would be my second issue with bad customer service with Golfetail and I am done. There are plenty of other golf retailers I can spend my money on.

If you buy something on Golfetail.com, and need to return it for some reason, be prepared to pay a restocking fee and be prepared to pay for the shipping back to the company!
I bought a pair of golf shoes and when I received them, they did not fit. I called the company and told them the issue and they said they would send me an email with the return instructions. After a day or so, I did not receive the email, so I sent them an email regarding the situation. They sent me an email with the return instructions.
They informed me that I would pay a restocking fee of $4.00 and that I needed to pay for the return shipping.
I called the company and explained the situation and let them know that I did not think it was fair for me to have to pay for the shoes if they did not fit. They said they would waive the restocking fee, but that I would need to pay the return shipping.
I went to the post office today and their cost to ship it was $14.05. I paid $44.95 for the shoes. The return shipping represents roughly 30% of the value of the shoes.
My concern is that we, as consumers, are falling into this trap. We are told free shipping, but the fine print says if there is a problem, you must pay the return shipping.
I believe that if my business was 100% online, I would find a way to accommodate my customers and provide free returns in cases like mine where the shoes did not fit.

I've been a customer for so long but…

I've been a customer for so long but when I returned an item, they did not give me credit for the item. Emails unanswered.

Good price but poor customer service. Will never purchase from them again.

Golf Etail has fallen off recently

Really enjoyed the mystery boxes until recently. These used to be $25 each and you had the chance to win a new driver. Recently these mystery boxes went up to $30. Ok that's fine, they used to have good items in there. Well ordered 2 for this past Father's Day and was really disappointed. Both boxes had the same exact stuff inside. Then to find out they sent 2 divot repair tools and a sleeve of golf balls. Why would I need 2 divot tools? Then 1 item is a sleeve of cheap golf balls. Could have easily bought these items for way less online. I really used to like Golf Etail but don't know what's happened to them lately. Seems they have fallen off so I won't be ordering these again. Fast shipping though if there's a plus

Read past negative reviews and was a bit nervous in ordering from this company. Ordered a chipper and I received my order within a week. Being from Ohio I thought it would take longer being shipped from California. Product was exactly what I ordered. Will be doing future business with this company

I’ve been using this outfit for many years. Always good service. I even got a call once letting me know that the shoes I ordered were no longer in stock, but they substituted a more expensive pair for the same price! For all the complainers out there, it’s a discount and overstocked store. Just go to Roger Dunn and pay full price if you can’t find what you want at golf etail.

Excellent Products, Pricing, and Service

I've been ordering from Golfetail since 2009. I've always had great experiences. Their pricing is fantastic and I've always found their customer service to be very helpful(especially Jaimi). I wouldn't let the negative reviews scare you from ordering. They offer name brand quality products at exceptional pricing!

Earlier this week I ordered a golf bag…

Earlier this week I ordered a golf bag from GolfEtail and then saw all the bad reviews and called with the intention of cancelling my order. I spoke to Jaimi and told her about my reservations. She was incredibly helpful and after speaking with her decided to go through with the order. She said it should be here by Friday and as promised it arrived today and I love it. So glad I didn’t listen to the negative comments as I am very happy with the service I received and would definitely purchase from them again.

It's a gamble. Sometimes you win. Sometimes not.

Neither dependable nor responsive. I enjoyed ordering the "mystery box" and waiting to see what I received. I figured these were end lots, seconds, or last years fashions. I was completely prepared to be disappointed. Most times the products received were a pleasant surprise. My problems were:
1. If you order always take the $4 USPS shipping because paying for UPS still gets USPS.
2. Once when I ordered and my order was canceled. The website said there was stock when I ordered but I was told the stock was gone. I was told I was called but my phone had no record of it.
3. My last order was for a "mystery box" with two polo shirts. I ordered two boxes (four shirts). I received two shirts (one Mystery Box) but was charged double. I called, but no response. I sent three emails over the course of a week, but no response.

Keeping customers is always less expensive than getting new ones, a lesson this garage bound business has apparently not yet learned. Every one of my orders was more expensive than the previous one. Now I think my last order will be my last order. You takes your cards and you takes your chances!

It's been 3 weeks of agonizing waiting

It's been 3 weeks of agonizing waiting, and roughly 7 weeks passed after my original order placed with this company for $300 worth of product not delivered. After 2nd call of complaints, I have been unable to get them on the phone. They do not respond to my email either. I am getting to a point that money no longer matters, it's becoming personal which I may talk to my lawyer about. Please folks do not buy from this company if you want responsible firm to work with. Past 4 years, i haven't had a problem. Since I started buying very often lately, I see dramatic service degrade which I've never seen before. I still believe they bring good deals trusting that they are all authentic. But customer service essentially none. No calls and no emails at the moment. Very frustrating with this company.

Saw a fantastic deal on UA matchplay…

Saw a fantastic deal on UA matchplay shoes but then was really unsure after seeing all these reviews. I decided to give them a shot anyways and put the order in. Saved $50 from other stores and shoes came in 3 business days. Happy with my purchase, and I usually don't review anything but they did me no wrong.

Only getting 1 star because I can’t give them 0. Be very careful ordering from this company, it is VERY VERY risky especially if you are not from the USA, on a order for 6 shirts it cost me $195 plus $60 for duty’s, also if the shirts don’t fit ( which they probably won’t cause they are likely a knock off😡) you pay your own return shipping and don’t get the duty refunded. CANADIANS stay clear of this company. It is a very expensive chance to take

Ok, I got my package yesterday, very quick shipping only took 3 days, so there is a positive. Shirts seem to be decent quality and look sharp. Problem is I bought 6 shirts and only received 4, now what’s going to happen when, or if they ship the last 2 shirts???? I already paid customs for the entire order of $60 cdn, but if they ship more shirts I will be getting another bill to pay by customs, and if they just refund me the money I loose what I paid for customs.
Bottom line is, in my opinion it’s not worth the hassle dealing with this if you live in Canada, or probably any country, but the USA. At least I got 4 shirts, so my cost per shirt is down to $63.75 per shirt, a far cry from the sticker price of $22.99 though🙄
Live and learn I guess.

Update #2......
As I said in the last update, I only received 4 out of the 6 shirts, so I send them an email asking about the rest of the order, and they went on to tell me the order had been shipped and it was fully complete. As I suspected as soon as I had placed this order, these guys are a bunch of crooks, I’m happy that I at least got 4 of the 6 shirts, but I will never buy anything from these guys again, and suggest that you think really hard before you use this store as well.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

I have ordered a set of golf clubs…

I have ordered a set of golf clubs online from New Zealand on 22/12/2020 and received confirmation of the order same day. I have not received any further communication from them, and have asked for tracking number and dispatch date from both the website and through their support email and have got nothing. Their customer support is non-existent and I will not deal with them again. If there is an issue for any reason at least communicate what it is. If there was less than 1 star that is what they would get.

I see the reply and I would not have posted my experience if I had got it, I will check my credit card. That still doesn't excuse the lack of reponse to my several attempt's to get information on the progress of receiving the goods over a period of 3 weeks. If an appropraite response as below had of come through I would have looked into any issue and not posted this rating. Still poor customer service and response to customer issues.

The website sent you an email on the day of purchase that the order had been rejected. The payment details didn't match your billing address.
Because this often happens with a stolen credit card (not necessarily what happened here), we don't reach out to the buyer when payment is rejected

Broker fees and taxes add after the purchase. A Joke.

Ordered 3 shirts on sale. Searched for an hour as there are not many sizes in stock. Made my purchase and shipping choice. 2 days later I get an e-mail. Taxes and broker fees owing.. Broker fees on 3 golf shirts??
What a joke. Just another way to get another $20 out of me. Shirts were delivered and are not the best of quality. Will never order again from this web site..

Golf shoes! I’ve ordered 8 different golf shoes…

I’ve ordered 8 different golf shoes from them. 90% of them fit without issues. Granted some of the quality is poor ( but you get what you pay for!) and I end up mowing the yard in them.. For the most part I have been happy, but the last pair of Addidas are probably FAKE! The tongue was terribly stitched and dig into the top of your feet. Buyer beware! I had boxed them up to return but recently read all the reviews of poor service and terry return issues with shoes.

wow...looks like i am not the only one…

wow...looks like i am not the only one with an issue with GolfEtail. I ordered a "softshell" sweatshirt and the item arrived as a regular sweatshirt - i called to return the item and the person wasn't helpful that answered and didn't follow through with sending me an email to complete the return. I have also emailed their "support" email address with no answer. He told me that return would be $4, but when I try to process only I am redirected to PayPal for $13 with no option to make a change....very underwhelming experience.

"softshell" is the description of the sweatshirt. Manufacturer term. This item was described correctly. You may return the order for a refund. USPS shipping should be much less than $13. The option to purchase a label from our website is for larger items. " If your return is less than 1 pound we suggest you check with your local post office for a lower rate."

Just a recommendation to whomever owns…

Just a recommendation to whomever owns stock in this company....I always read customer reviews and I can usually spot when someone is exaggerating in their complaint and will take some complaints with a grain of salt. This was the case with some of the reviews and complaints on your site. However, after reading the replies from "Jaimi" I have decided not to place my order. Regardless of the ridiculousness of the complaints, the person representing your company, in these responses, is childish and unable to manage professional communication with your clients. Instead they are condescending, snarky, and over-sensitive. Someone in customer must have a thick-skin, realize that the best way promote the company's image is to respond politely and do all you can to make the customer feel as though their issue has been resolved to their satisfaction (even when it has not). The person must have finesse! One final tip, it's quite obvious when a positive review is being written by a friend or colleague (or self), such as the one by "Mike Culver". The wording to describe "Jaimi" was clearly in response to the negative responses about him/her. My suggestion would be to make these reviews less puffed up, i.e., "Jaimi is a wonderful resource to have in a customer service position". Jaimi's name is not a common spelling, it's very unlikely "Mike" just happened to get the spelling correct. If you, the stockholder of this company, have hired friends to work for you, know that they are hurting your revenue and reputation. If you just happen to have hired some bad apples, I'd cut them loose.

1/20/21 Update to review/reply to review: Simple, because of your replies to the other reviews! Your replies are a significant part of your overall product, and I didn’t like what I saw, so I purchased the item elsewhere.

I just called “customer service” due to…

I just called “customer service” due to a package never shipping nor received. Called them and the person answered was exceptionally rude by talking over me and interrupting me multiple times with excuses and defenses as to why the company was inefficient and told me she was not at all concerned what I thought. She was very shrill and unprofessional.

I called back and asked to speak to her supervisor. The person claimed to be the owner of the company (he acted as though he was having a defensive relationship with her) and he was unprofessional and rude as well. This is a company that is not concerned with customers nor taking a proper business posture or positive communication with customers. Additionally, their people answering customer service telephone lines are full of excuses for not timely shipping packages.

I will never order from them again and nor should you the reader...vote by taking your dollars somewhere else.

thank you for your comments. I remember this conversation very well. This customer was aggressive when calling to check on his order, placed on Friday and shipped Monday. Called Tuesday to accuse GolfEtail of delaying his order.
By the way, the order was shipped and delivered in 4 business days (with free shipping)

Lip Service Not Customer Service

This company has no customer service just lip service. BUYER BEWARE AND BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK! As a consumer, I just want to get what I paid for in the size I paid for. If the size is too small, I should be able to send it back but this company wants to sell you a UPS sticker for $12 to send back plus a re-stocking charge of $15. The vest only cost $15 to start with. I am better off giving it to Goodwill than be out more money with a company that won't stand behind what they are selling.

Wow. Have you tried to contact us? Because if you did, we could explain to you that the label offered for purchase is for larger items. You can return this small item by USPS for just a couple dollars. We would also offer you to purchase the correct size at the same $8 sale price (not $15) you paid during this Flash Sale. also, the restocking fee is $5 no $15 and is never charged if you place a new order. The only extra cost is return shipping on the item that doesn't fit.
