We did a 7 day freediving workshop in Belize. The instructor is very patient, kind and provides hands-on work with her students. She will teach you how to duck-dive, give you confidence, and make sure you work with your buddy. Great experience!!

Emma is an excellent instructor. Her classroom lessons are well thought out and easy to understand. The open water exercises helped put it all together. I would absolutely take another class with her.

I attended the freediving masterclass with Emma and Tom. They were both brilliant and Emma was so attentive and gave really useful feedback throughout. Emma was brilliant at breaking things down in an understandable way and overall just approached teaching in a really nurturing way! Thanks so much!!

Emma and John were fabulous teachers and couldn’t have been more encouraging or helpful and really instil you with confidence. Plus everyone is able to progress at their own pace. I was nervous but it was a lovely mix of people of all ages.
The course is very well designed and the equipment and organisation first class. Communication was excellent (thank you Victoria). I couldn’t recommend the course more highly.

Emma and John were amazing instructors - so knowledgeable, very aware of what is going on with each student. The course was well paced for all levels. Top quality kit and beautiful surroundings. I would recommend this to anyone. All kinds of people take the course - you don’t have to be particularly athletic, experienced at breath holding etc, just willing to try and follow the instructions!

I can’t really contain in a single review the wonder that was this weekend with @go_freediving . I booked this at the beginning of the summer as a part of a promise to myself to do some of the things I have always wanted to do.

Emma and her team are the loveliest bunch of people you could hope to meet! The teaching both online and in person is thorough and sufficiently repetitive for even my rather slow learning brain. But it stayed interesting and enjoyable. The amazing weather at vobster quay helped too!

So am I an amazing Freediver suddenly after one weekend? No i am not. In fact i had some issues with equalisation that may take some time to resolve. But I will be back. Even at the depth I was able to tolerate (max 8m) I saw some really beautiful things. Shafts of sunlight through water, forests of bubbles from scuba divers below and best of all, my buddies buddying each other from 10m and the grace and intimacy of an eye to eye ascent as sunshine sliced though the water. I’ll never forget it.

We had a great rapport and a very fun instructor our time in the water passed in the blink of an eye. I’m going back very soon, and I can’t wait!

Just completed a weekend course with GO freediving at Vobster Quay - what fun! Emma and her team are highly professional and I felt in completely safe hands throughout. I really went along to accompany my son who has wanted to learn to freedive for ages and I wanted to be sure that he was taught in a safe environment. I needn't have worried as safety is the no 1 priority and noone is pushed beyond where they feel comfortable going. The groups are kept small (3-4 people) and this facilatates learning at a pace that suits each individual. Our instructor (John) was so encouraging and I had complete trust in him. I needed to repeat basic skills to embed them whereas my son grasped some things more quickly and was able to progress at a pace that suited him, moving onto more challenging scenarios. We were taught skills that could be useful in other situations, such as tired diver pushes, unconscious diver tow, how to deal with cramp, etc along with of course the breath holding and swimming with fins to various depths. I was very happy with getting to 8m on the second day - definitely surpassing what I thought I was capable of. I may well return for a refresher in the future and in the meantime I will be practicising those elusive (for me!) duck dives!

Amazing, professional, friendly and supportive. Emma and her team are simply the best at what they do. I have never enjoyed a course so much and Emma was an absolute inspiration to my 14 year old daughter. I cannot recommend more highly.

This is my second year training with Emma Farrell at Go Freediving and I really recommend Emma whether you are new to freediving or an experienced diver. Having coached sports myself in the past, I know there is a big difference between being taught by someone who has learned how to teach versus being taught by an expert in their field. Emma is an expert and uses her expertise to spot subtle as well as more obvious changes needed for your technique. I come away from each session knowing that my technique has been analysed in detail and having benefitted from clear instructions to make adjustments. What I also like is that Emma is a born teacher and great fun. Along with her technical knowledge this makes for a perfect teaching combination!

Emma and the GoFreeDive team are just brilliant, really professional but also really supportive and encouraging. The two day course was well structured and with lots of well supported pre-course theory learning nothing seemed too difficult or out of reach. The support on the practice dives was second to none and always focusing on safety and quality.

Definitely a course I would recommend to anyone interested in FreeDiving, Spearfishing or snorkelling.

I've just finished my Static and Dynamic Apnea course with Emma and Pash, as well as doing the Open Water course at Vobster in September. Both were incredible experiences and have opened a new world of diving and breathing techniques. The safety training and discipline of these courses sets them apart - all while being relaxed and having fun. It is due to the highly professional and skilled coaches and their passion for diving. These courses can be fun and practical, and/or deeply introspective and profound. The groups of other students have been amazing, so diverse and enjoyable to share these experiences with. The course feels close-knit and very individual at the same time, never doing anything you don't feel comfortable to do. Difficult to describe really, but it had just blown my mind. I'm hooked!

I have just completed a freediving course with Go Freediving and it was fantastic! The course was not only great fun but also very well organised. The team were incredibly friendly but maintained a high level of professionalism throughout, ensuring that safety was always the top priority.

The group had a range of abilities and reasons for being there, but everyone’s needs and aspirations were catered for, making it a supportive and inclusive environment for all. The venue at Vobster Quay was ideal, with good visibility and interesting underwater features to explore.

I’d like to give special thanks to Jacqui for her support and patience - I’ve learned so much and now have a set of skills I can continue to practice and improve. I chose Go Freediving because of the team’s excellent reputation, and they certainly lived up to it! The equipment provided was all top notch too, making the whole experience even more enjoyable.

Highly recommend for anyone looking to learn or improve their freediving skills!

I've just finished my RAID Freediver course with Emma and the team at GoFreediving at Vobster Quay.
What can I say! What an incredible team of highly professional instructors; super friendly, great communication and extremely knowledgeable. The instruction was clear, precise and easy to follow. They made all the students feel so at ease in the water and helped make even the most novice of the students, confident and competent by the end of the two day course. I can vouch for all my fellow students in expressing just how safe we all felt and much we learned about safety, rescue and the basic freediving skills. I can't recommend Go Freediving enough to anyone wanting to learn to freediving, whether complete beginner, spearo or scuba diver wanting to learn some new skills.

I have done a two day Freediver course and a one day Returner course with GoFreediving - both have been excellent. Emma and the team are thoroughly professional, and give the divers all the necessary knowledge and confidence. Highly recommended

Such an amazing team!

I had my first training course with Go Freediving in early July 2024, then went back as a returning student for a day a couple of weeks later, and have just been back with a buddy on our own for the first time. Make no mistake, getting started is incredibly challenging and can be overwhelming, as there is so much to learn and to think about but the Go Freediving team have been so supportive, encouraging and enabling, I could have wished for better people to guide me through the process.

They have a wealth of material online too (videos, guides), to prepare you for your first session and to go back and checking in on afterwards.

This is a very friendly, safe and nurturing company that seeks to get the best out of anyone wanting to explore the world beneath the surface, and my experience of the instructors, Pash and Jackie, is that they incredible at making space for each individual to practice and progress at their own pace.

Can't recommend them highly enough - you will be surprised by what you can do!

The instructor was wonderful, very experienced and tailored her approach to each freediver's needs & level. The RAID freediver course I did is a safe and enlightening introduction to freediving with lovely people. Also, the equipment they provide is first-rate.

Really well organised training in the water. Clear instruction and plenty of opportunity to progress at your own level and pace. Very friendly.

Absolutely brilliant! The instructors were friendly and very knowledgeable. The course was tailored to suit the ability of each student and the atmosphere was relaxed. I definitely recommend Go Freediving and will be doing more courses in the future!

Really excited to have done the RAID Freediving course with Go Freediving. Everything about it was brilliant and very well organised. Mike was a great instructor who made things fun, was really relaxed (including when I dropped my weight belt in the lake in the first 5 mins and he had to dive down to get it!) and when needed he broke everything down into smaller steps or explained things in different ways.
Safety is top priority and well delivered. You learn buddying from the start but the instructor also follows you down on all your dives. The equipment is really good quality especially the wetsuits which made for a much nicer experience in cold water. I would recommend doing Emma's breathing optimisation classes which are available as part of the excellent pre course materials and also watching Frenzel equalisation videos before you go on the course. Although like many people I struggled with equalisation in the water, I felt by learning a bit before the course I was familiar with what I should be doing and so it wasnt all completely new. Emma took the time to talk to us at the end of the course about any worries and it was reassuring to know that even some of the best freedivers have taken a long time to master equalisation. Everyone at Vobster is really friendly and along with the Go Freediving team make you feel like you belong and they are really glad to have you there. Highly recommend.
