We recently had the pleasure of spending two incredible weeks at the Atoll Marine Conservation Center, and we can’t recommend this experience enough to other families. Contributing to turtle rescue, ocean clean-up, and connecting with the wonderful local community was both rewarding and inspiring. The island's relaxed and friendly atmosphere provided a refreshing change from our busy lives. We came away with new friends and unforgettable memories. If you're looking for a meaningful and enriching family adventure, this is it! 🌊🐢💚

My GoEco experience was amazing.
I was very sceptical at first but it turned out to be one of the best experiences of my life. All the people at the costa rica animal rescue center were so helpful and open and after adjusting to my new surroundings I was able to fully dive into the life at the animal rescue center. Everything was simple but the food was yummy and cooked freshly every day, the rooms were cleaned daily and there were evening activities everyday. I got to meet so many new people from all over the world. I am very thankful for this experience and would do it again anytime.

I enjoyed my experience English teaching in the Galapagos. It was a very enriching experience working with the locals and other volunteers. I learned a lot and will cherish the memories I made. GoEco made the booking and planning process very easy and straight forward. They were always available if I had any questions and were quick to respond. I plan to book another volunteering abroad experience through them in the future.

I had such an amazing experience traveling the world, meeting new people, and doing fulfilling volunteer work! GoEco made planning my trip easy and convenient, and I’m very glad I chose them. The support staff was also incredibly helpful and super friendly. If I had any questions or concerns they were always there to help.

My experience as an English volunteer in Thailand was incredible. Even though I was a minor, I felt completely safe because the team picked me up at the airport. Everyone on the team was extremely kind, and I had the chance to immerse myself in the local culture and learn from the people there. The highlight was definitely teaching English. I also made friends from around the world—USA, Germany, France, and the Netherlands. I highly recommend GoEco; this is my second year volunteering with them, and I hope to continue next year!

Goeco is an amazing company, they are friendly and very helpful, I remember searching up volunteer programs and goeco was rated best in the world. I would definitely agree with that review, and for anyone to book programs to do it through them.

With them I taught English to monks in the Himalayas, and it was a life changing experience. I would definitely do it again and I thank them for enabling me to do this and for that they have my deepest gratitude.

My experience with GoEco was absolutely brilliant. From start to finish the team made sure to communicate with me and help make sure everything was organised. I was nervous as it was my first time travelling abroad without an adult or my school, but with the help of GoEco everything went smoothly and I felt safe and supported at all times!

I did quite an extensive online research to find a family volunteering program for smaller kids. I eventually was successful with GoEco and their sea turtle program in the Maldives. There are definitely worse places to be 😉
The program is well organized and they even qualify your fit for the program during a phone interview. GoEco provided all logistics information beforehand, was friendly and pro-active.
The program itself was a great experience for my kid and myself. It’s the perfect mix of volunteering work and activities for kids and families. For instance, the morning schedule was cleaning and feeding the turtles and the afternoon was an island excursion with snorkeling.
The highlight for my kid was hunting crabs at the beach in the evening and feeding them to the turtles the day after. Even though she was afraid of the fast moving crabs, she was so excited and curious - and her face was full of joy.
I can recommend it for families with smaller kids! Mine was 4 year old and months later, she still talks about it.

I went with GoEco to Zimbabwe for three weeks. It’s a life changing experience and totally worth it. GoEco is really organized and helps you out with everything you need. With the emails checking on your experience during your stay, you felt very very safe. All u can say is I don’t regret a thing going to Zimbabwe with them for 3 weeks and I’ll used them again to go around the world

For the last six years, turtles have held my heart. I spent the last two years of my undergraduate degree working with freshwater turtles, so when I discovered an opportunity to volunteer through GoEco with sea turtles in the Maldives, I was thrilled! My partner and I spent two weeks living on Naifaru, working at the Atoll Marine Conservation center with their wonderful turtles and a volunteer community from all over the world. The chance to not just see the turtles, but be involved in meaningful care for them such as cleaning their enclosures and preparing their meals, allowed us to know the animals and their quirks in a way no day-long tour of a center like this could ever provide. Our accommodations were beautiful and comfortable, and every meal was spent at a local restaurant, laughing and chatting with new friends from all over the world. I only wish we'd stayed another week or two!

What an experience! Would highly recommend! Goeco were great before and throughout experience answering any question/query, nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be using them again!

This trip was my first time travelling alone so I initially found it very stressful, however GoEco were always so amazing at replying to emails promptly and in such a friendly manner that it wasn’t intimidating to ask as many questions as I needed to. They were so lovely and kept me well-informed from the moment I booked the trip, and continued to check in while I was in Tarrafal during the course of the project. The project itself was incredible, truly a once in a lifetime experience and I miss it already. Hopefully this will be the start of many solo trips for me, and in the future I would definitely look at booking more projects through GoEco. The only small fault I could mention is that some of the information sent by GoEco was a little outdated/inaccurate. For example I was told there was a strict dress code for the project, however when I got there it was quickly revealed that shorts and t-shirt were more than acceptable as they valued practical clothing rather than modest/formal. Other than that I cannot say I have any criticism for GoEco, every staff member I had contact with was so lovely and made me feel supported through my experience.

I have been at Chipangali Animals Orphanage for the past 2 weeks. It was wonderful. Go Eco from the very beginning were extremely helpful with all of the organising. They kept in touch throughout the planning and were so helpful and knowledgeable. I can't fault them at all everything was explained in great detail and the planning folder they have for you was so helpful. As an older volunteer I can honestly say that Go Eco looked after me very well and I have no hesitation in recommending them highly to anyone thinking of volunteering.

I have just returned from Chipengali Animal Otphanage having spent 2 weeks there with my 17 year old, my sister and a friend. From the beginning Goeco have been a great support in organising and preparing for our trip. Emails were answered promptly, phone meetings arranged and carried out effectively, queries responded to quickly. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Organisation using the Planning folder worked very well and you were systematically taken through the process. Pre information was clear and progress was checked during the trip. As stated by Goeco, Chipengali was an excellent experience and did more than we could have hoped for. Would highly recommend both Goeco and Chipengali Zimbabwe.

I was a volunteer in the marine program for 2 weeks and it is an experience will never forget. I was able to study and analysis dolphin behaviour and how tourism affects them up close. It wa wa magical experience. Being able to see dolphins, help them and interact with is something I will never forget and highly recommend. If you were to consider taking the marine program, you will experience the following. Dolphin seeing and interaction, befriending of the locals, exploration of local areas and ocean life. I wished I stayed longer and even though a part of me missed home, I felt like I was home there. Being able to do what I am good at and still being able to help in a way that I never could before.
I highly recommend going into the marine program. It’s an experience you will never forget and always hold dear to you, just like it was for me. 😊

My trip with GoEco was an unforgettable experience! Not only did I get to gain valuable experience volunteering for Dolphin Research, but also got to roam the beautiful island of Ischia.

We are not through the program yet but we sent our 17 year old to Zimbabwe with GoEco for 3 weeks. It took about 9 months from signing her up to leaving for Zimbabwe. So far she’s having a great time at the animal rescue center. As a parent this was a major decision but it has been so well organized by everyone at GoEco, communication is beyond excellent, we had so many questions about safety, amongst other things but they answered all our emails very quickly, they talked with us several times. The center seems amazing, she’s well supported there by GoEco and by the owners of the refuge. By the time she was leaving I was feeling better about it all. If you’re thinking about sending your child alone, GoEco is a solid company to do it with. We’re happy we gave our child this amazing opportunity before college!

A Trip of a Lifetime from a Semi-Retired Teacher

Volunteering with GoEco was a life-changing experience from start to finish. From the moment I committed to the program to the moment I left Nepal, GoEco supported me every step of the way. Their local partners, The Green Lion, were exceptional, providing an authentic immersion into Nepali life, culture, and history, and handling all logistics and issues seamlessly.

My project, Empowering Women in the Community, was both wonderful and fulfilling. During my three weeks there, I felt I made a small but meaningful difference. My students, ranging in age, eagerly learned new things and participated in the activities I prepared. Their enthusiasm and motivation were the keys to our success.

I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to volunteer and meet other amazing volunteers, hosts, and local Nepali people through GoEco. This experience felt like a rite of passage, one that I believe every young person should undertake to contribute to a better world.

I spent one week in Ischia, Italy, volunteering to research about cetaceans and I loved the experience it was quite memorable. Living on a vintage sailboat was an entirely different experience, and waking up to the beautiful sun and views of Ischia is amazing. Being a high school student, I was hesitant travelling alone overseas, but communication was always smooth and GoEco helped me a lot. I really enjoyed the homemade Italian food, and the times spent out at sea and seeing sperm whales, dolphins, tuna, etc. was unlike any other experience. I learned about their equipment as well as sustainability, biology, environmental science, etc.
