Unfair and Unreliable – Avoid This Service
I’ve had a terrible experience with this product. I’m based in Sweden and have used it consistently on two devices – both the Windows version and the mobile app – with no issues on my side. I have a very stable, high-speed internet connection and even tried mobile data, running it 24/7 without disconnecting.
Despite this, my points just keep disappearing for no reason. I went from 3,000 points down to 900, without changing anything. Points increase slowly, then suddenly drop within hours. It's extremely frustrating and feels completely unfair.
I haven’t used a VPN, any bots, scripts, or done anything against the rules. Still, they penalize you for nothing. This feels like a scam. I’ve stopped using it now, and honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if the rest of my points disappear by tomorrow.
I absolutely do not recommend this service.

Hey Anton! Hold up lemme explain. What it sounds like you are experiencing is the daily calculations which occur at 00:00 UTC and can take 12-24hrs to complete. During this process it looks like your points disappear (which can feel strange if you aren't expecting it) but they will return once those calculations finalize. Im glad you're using the desktop app and the new Android app! In order to maximize earnings you'll want to have each device on a separate network. I use the desktop app on wifi at my home and use cellular on the android app for when Im at home and on the go!
In regards to supporting you moving forward I would highly recommend reaching out to our official support team on your dashboard and look for the green bubble on the bottom right; this is really the best place to get 1 on 1 support. Id also recommend getting connected with the Grass discord community (over 450k members) and talking about all things Grass! Really great place to get support from the community if you'd like to chat and hangout.

It's terrible
It's terrible, I don't recommend wasting time. The app keeps stopping working. It works terribly. Technical support can be said to be absent at all. Someone won't help you. The distribution of rewards is shitty, they give the farmer with bots, not real people. A waste of time.

Hey Razzy, sounds like you're having some trouble with the Grass app. I'd be curious to know if it's the desktop app or the newly released android mobile app and if you've gone through the troubleshooting provided when you chat with our support team on the Grass website. If you went that route you may have been greeted with our GigaAgent which tries to solve your issue and if it can't you get connected to a live agent....but if you're having trouble you can always hangout with the Grass community in discord so we can figure out whats going on and get you back to touching some grass!
I will say, Grass did a phenomenal job with allowing only legitimate users to get rewarded in stage 1 and was able to reward over 2m+ users with 100m Grass tokens ($300m in value). Rewards were based off contributions to the Grass network so everyone had a fair chance!

Hey Ak. Great question! Accounts that have a verified email are not able to be changed at this time but rest assured it will be an option in the future. Once that kind of thing is an option we will communicate that to the community! If you need to open a support ticket for anything Grass related you will need to use an email for verification but it doesn't have to be the one on your Grass account (you can get official support at app.grass.io. I totally agree Tak. Majority of us have some sort of unlimited data plan whether that be your WIFI at home or the cellular data for you mobile device so you might as well rent some of that bandwidth and get paid in the process. In stage 1 over 2m users received 100m Grass tokens (about $300m in value) for contributing a sliver of their unused bandwidth to the Grass network!
Grass has been scraping about 1,000,000 GB of multimodal data every single day which has led to the creation of various datasets like the VLAD (Video-Audio Large Interleaved Dataset). This dataset is comprised of 30 million audio snippets interleaved with images and text, making it the FIRST EVER video-audio interleaved dataset. Id highly recommend checking it out!

Great Passive Income, but you must be patient. Besides, what do you have to lose?
This is undoubtedly the best Passive Income DePIN you'd come across. You don't need to claim any faucets, make any transactions or spend any money to accumulate points. The app simply does everything. Just leave it and let it run in the background. Most importantly, their app is monitored on a daily basis by international cybersecurity auditors like AppEsteem and AMTSO. Their app is therefore very safe to use and your privacy is secured. You can read about this yourself.
One thing to note is that they currently pay at the end of Stages (which could sometimes take about 8months -1year), although this is planned to be done monthly.

I think people often forget how early Grass is in its journey. Were currently in the developmental stages of Grass and theres SO MUCH in the pipeline like the android mobile app, Grass hardware, Live context retrieval, and more! I joined Grass just under a year ago, from day one every single time I've had a concern no matter how small it was addressed quickly, respectfully and professionally. Stage 1 was a blessing for me and many others. They even extended the claim deadline for Airdrop1 by an additional 90 days even when they didn't have to.
I can't wait to see what else Stage 2 has to offer with its inclusion of apps, hardware and LCR. I don't see myself leaving this community either as I've met new friends, we've built bonds and relationships with each other, They're my Grass Fam.

I think this app is a waste of time. I have noticed that my points keep reducing each day. In the morning, I have 1500 grass, but by night, they go to 1000. Don't waste your data and time on this app, I am really disappointed!!

Hey Kevin! Theres an explanation for that! What you're noticing is the daily calculation that occur every day at 12am UTC. It's pretty much the dashboard going from current day to the next which happens at the same time for everyone. During this process your previous day points appear to disappear as the calculations begin but they always come back once the process is done so don't. Because theres so many users on the network this process can take some time to finalize (up to 48hrs). I promise your points are safe Kevin!

Honestly the best part about the app is I usually forget that Im running it. I happen to be running it on Mac so its on my toolbar at the top of the screen and I know its connected because its that nice bright green Grass color (red if its disconnected), so I always can see if its connected or not without opening it. I also agree about about the support thing, community in the discord is super helpful and the Grass support on the website is your go-to for expert troubleshooting!

yeah you wont get paid right away, there are epoch and stage, we will get paid at the end of stage, but since its free resources anyway, I think those who complaint about not getting paid are either lack reading comprehension or just e-beggars. since their support and communities on discord explain everything clearly.
that sounds harsh. but hear me out, last stage, grass rewarded users the equivalent worth of more than $100 milions. Yeah we gotta wait, but its all free anyway. just connect when you are using the device anyway. you wont even notice it is running on the background.
I could go on about innovation and things that they do, but those things wont matter to you, since you are not investing on grass token, you just want to use and monetize your unused bandwidth.
its as easy as creating an account, install desktop node with few clicks, and connect while using the device anyway, totally free and not even noticeable because it wont use that much bandwidth. Those bandwidth are shared among millions of user.
Compared to other bandwidth-sharing apps that pay a pittance per GB (maybe monthly), Grass makes you wait, but you could earn 100x more in terms of data usage rewards.

Totally agree jjun. It really is 3 clicks to sign up for Grass and bam...you're touching Grass! Stage 1 was an incredible period of time for Grass and the network really blew up with 2m new users joining. Because of this Grass rewarded 2m+ users 100m Grass tokens which happened to be the largest distributed airdrop in history!
The most common feedback we'll get has to be how easy it is to run the desktop application. It uses about 30mb of memory on my MacBook and I forget I'm even running it most of the time. So many of us pay for unlimited data, so why not rent out a sliver of it and get a little extra something for it?

I have been part of Grass for over a year, It is a really great way to earn some side income all from unused internet bandwidth. I don't have to do any work, i just forget about it. I know grass is safe and secure because it has been audited ans certified by offical companys. The community on discord is also great if you need any help.

My absolute favorite part about Grass is the community which can be found on X but the discord community is second to none. Total scam if you are in the U.S
Total scam if you are in the U.S. do not use. They will use your resources for a month and then not pay you and claim it's because of jurisdiction issues. Then elsewhere they say ability to withdraw coming to those in the U.S. It's crypto, there is no ability to withdraw just pay people in crypto coins. So they use the system resources of U.S. citizens now, but U.S. citizens get nothing and you are supposed to just trust them, in the future, they'll figure out how to pay you in the U.S., scouts honor, they promise, big things are coming, "trust us". LOL. Worse, a bunch of UK pumpers on YouTube are making money off of referring this scam to people in the U.S. for referral bonuses like a giant pyramid scam.

Hey JJ, theres a few things Id love to clarify for you if thats cool. Grass is in its early stages of development and rewards are distributed at the end of the stage (not at the end of the month). Something I'd recommend is familiarizing yourself with the terms and conditions that you agreed to when you signed up for Grass, that may answer some questions for you.

A:"You may not currently be eligible to receive Grass Tokens if you live in a jurisdiction that is subject to sanctions or significant regulatory risk. A list of relevant jurisdictions that are not currently eligible is available here"

I would like to say, anyone who refers users to Grass benefits greatly and has from stage 1 (100m tokens to 2m users about $300m in value). Folks who bring in more users to the network should be rewarded for doing so and ANYONE can do that! i've dedicated a pc to grass
i have 7 pc's at home, for practical reasons i've dedicated a pc to grass, yesterday, power cut (when it's a network disconnection) and often absent, when it crashes, you have to retype the password which is an email you receive (my emails i don't check on smartphone not security) so impossible for the pc to reconnect by itself (it's without screen nor keyboard/mouse) with a stadard password it could, not to mention the damn captchas (I don't work for free for google, I already hate gafam and then he talks about net freedom), it's like anti-capitalist activists, they break windows but drink coke, fed up with my PC running for nothing when I don't realize it, I stop, I'm doing a service and what's more grass is demanding, my gigabit fiber and my e will serve someone else, bye bye grass.

Hey Matt! I really do appreciate the feedback and I'd love to figure out how we can get you up and running without any issues. I would be curious to get more details about your setup and see if theres anything thats not adding up. For the best experience you'll want to use a supported desktop device running Windows, MacOS or Linux (mobile app coming soon!) and a residential connection (cant be proxy, datacenter or VPN). As long as you're doing that you should be good. The best way to troubleshoot general issues like you're describing would be either joining the Grass discord and/or getting support from our Grass support team on the website! One more thing, Grass is actually not demanding at all. It uses about 1% of compute and on my MacBook the Grass app uses about 20-30mb of ram. I forget it's even running most of the time! Anyway, don't hesitate to reach out so we can get things sorted!

Phishing scam
I use this since 2 years and I've earned thousands of points worth a few dollars. If you want to earn $100 you need to do this for decades. The funny part, in their policies you need to agree that they can use ALL of your data as they wish. Everything. And they give you nothing for it. The even funnier part, since 2 years I was not able to claim my tokens at all. I tried 8 different wallets (solflare, trustwallet, phantom, unsiwap, bybit, bitpanda, binance, metamask) and not one of them is eligible 😂. This whole thing is just a scam to get all of your data! A phishing scam... You need to delete this whole thing and use new browsers or new accounts in your browser or they are goint to continue their theft even after deinstalling this *****!

Hey David, I appreciate you being an early participant in this journey with Grass and I want to clarify a few things that you mentioned:
1. Grass uses your IP address to route public web data (and thats it), so it has nothing to do with your personal data whatsoever. It's not about your data, it's about renting out a sliver of your unused bandwidth and getting compensated for doing so.
2. It sounds like you earned Grass points during stage 1 and had some trouble with your wallet. The requirements to be eligible for those rewards would have been earning 500 points in any of the epochs and having a wallet verified before the October 14th deadline. The wallet address you verified on your Grass account had to match the wallet you were using to claim if you were eligible (so its the wallet address that matters, not whatever wallet provider you happen to use).
Im sorry your experience hasn't been great and I hope we can repair the relationship and take back control of the internet (and get compensated for doing so!). Im going to leave a few resources here for you to check out that I think will really shift your perspective and perhaps provide some additional clarity :)

How is it I have been involved with this project this long, kept updated on software etc, but when Airdrop 1 comes I cant claim it for some BS reason then wtf I been doing here for? Nobody should be able to get this software that cannot claim the rewards for RUNNIONG THE SOFTWARE! I have some real choice words for this program and any like it!!! I can claim any other airdrop from any other project I been involved with! Its BS Period! I wouldnt partake in this project if I were you, Youre just putting youre effort and energy in someone elses pocket!!!
