I am extremely disappointed with… Georgia Power
I am extremely disappointed with Georgia Power Company and the ongoing issues I have experienced with their billing department and customer service staff. My experience has been frustrating from start to finish.
Within a span of just three months, I had two separate payments withdrawn from my account even though I never set up auto pay. Each time I was told that auto pay was active, which I personally did not set up. I then had to go through the process of canceling something I never authorized in the first place, which should not have been necessary.
To make matters worse, my account had a zero balance when the second payments were taken. There was no reason for any additional charge, yet the payment was still processed. Even after their error, I was charged a $30 fee. Being charged fees for mistakes made on their end is completely unacceptable.
The lack of accountability and poor communication has made this an ongoing headache. It feels like customers are left to deal with repeated errors without real resolution or care.
I strongly recommend avoiding this company if you have any other option available in your area. The stress, time, and money spent trying to correct their mistakes is simply not worth it.
