I have ordered 2 different mattresses, one for a sofa-bed and one for a bed from Futons 247 in the last 4 years and each time, the communication was excellent. Happy with the tatami mats and futon mattress; thanks Peter! The mats help absorb heat during the night, which otherwise gets trapped when the futon is directly an the wooden floor. Perfect combo :)

I'll say excellent team work, you'll have to wait minimum 4 weeks to be delivered. I love the product, though the natural wood there are some planks that have holes since it's were the branches were growing, so be careful where to assemble them. The instructions are similar to IKEA and love it how simple it is, only visual instruction. Preferably 2 people to assemble, or do it solo. If you do it solo please be careful, take a closer look to the instructions and do check back on every step, DON'T be forceful every piece is like a puzzle you just need to put it back together like Lego.

It was great to be able to purchase a well-made futon from a small business based in the UK. I chose this futon because it was affordable and stuffed with natural wool - brilliant! It was also great to be able to speak to a real human on the phone too, good customer service and good value.

The ordering and delivery of the futon was exemplary, it was intended as a replacement futon for my son. However there is one major problem - it stinks of what l consider to be some sort of chemical. l assumed that this was fireproofing solution although the company deny this and blame the sheep! The futon has to be in use or my son would have nowhere to sleep but we have had to lag it with thick quilts to keep the smell down and these have to be washed frequently which is a pain at this time of the year. No idea what I can do about this but we have purchased futons before and they have never smelt like this.

when I needed to clarify some information, a real person answered my phone call and gave me all the extra info I needed to go back and order a second item. Delivery was as stated and the product was excellent. Love that it was made locally and with sustainable materials

I rarely contribute to online reviews but in this instance I feel I just must.
I am a returning customer to this Plymouth based family-run company and every dealing I have had with them has been professional, courteous and downright friendly; my phone conversations with director Peter Farrow have sometimes run on for several minutes, AND he remembered me and my previous order from 2016, eight years ago.
As to the product, these are simply the BEST futon mattresses and bed-frames that you can currently find in the UK, and well-priced too. Look no further.

I am quite pleased with the "Cottonsafe Chemical Free Cocoloc Futon Mattress - Firm." It has been used for a couple of months now.
I was expecting it to be a tad firmer, so mattress firmness always seems a bit like clothe sizes -- you never really know if it's going to suit you until you try it! Overall quite satisfied.
I hope the mattress will keep its shape longer than a competitor futon mattress I had previously, as the latter began sagging in the middle after a year and a half. The bane of mattresses is to begin sagging in the middle after a while. I flip and/or rotate my new mattress from Futon 247 every 2-3 days so we will see if it helps with longevity.
