I think the residential delivery fee is…
I think the residential delivery fee is BS. I have an extremely easy delivery area. The drivers park in a wide street area and unload the product and they are out of my business in a very short period of time. Some of the business stops they have to make are difficult to navigate through city or commercial area traffic, and then they need to find the dock manager, and then back their truck into the dock, and then wait for someone to unload the product. I should receive a discount for how simple my delivery is. Ask any of the drivers who have ever delivered to my residential business and they will tell you how simple and how quickly their deliveries are.

It is industry standard for carriers to charge a residential fee for a variety of reasons, including the ones you have outlined here. Unfortunately, carriers do apply the fee to all residential locations regardless of ease of delivery or pickup, distance from terminal, deviance from normal route, and other factors unique to specific locations. We strive to provide the most accurate and transparent pricing for our customers, which is why we must also quote and charge this fee and fees similar to it, such as limited access fees, for certain commercial and business locations. We're sorry for this inconvenience but do appreciate your feedback and business.
