Usually they are good..
However, an item was advertised as special online price - £40 off.
We then didn’t receive the item and after chasing it up eventually they claimed they had sent an email the next day that the price was wrong.
This was never received and on checking the website now it said £40 off a price £40 higher then anywhere else.
Very disappointed

I am writing to say how much I appreciate the excellent and professional service you provided recently. A house move forced me to sell my treasured grand piano - a Kawai GE30 AT (bought from Forsyth’s originally). So I visited the store and eventually chose the brand new Kawai K500 upright which arrived today: I am delighted with it. Special thanks to Emma for all your assistance and efficiency.

Ordered a guitar from them yesterday came today. Level of service was great I did my contact on phone and internet. Very helpful great price well happy about my guitar would definitely recommend this shop and a nice set up on the guitar as well.

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Was looking into options for a Yamaha silent piano. Choice was between a used Yamaha C1 and retro-fitting a silent system or brand new C1X SH2. Forsyth Music Shop provided valuable insights, demo videos and advice which supported our decision-making. Thank you very much!

I have been trying to buy a certain sheet of piano music and in my search I came across Forsyths Music Shop in Manchester.
I e-mailed them a screen shot of the one I wanted on the 14th March.
I got a reply the next day advising that they had traced an arrangement of what I wanted and would order it; then let me know if it was the same one.
I received an e-mail today confirming that it was and gave me options for ordering. I ordered it by phone and it will be posted out 1st class today!
I just wanted to thank them publicly for this excellent customer service and would definitely recommend them and use them again.

It's not often that one experiences the level of customer service that I had, when dealing with one of your employees yesterday (over the phone) - Natalie.
You should be very proud, to have someone in your business, with her polite manner, patience and attention to detail, when discussing the nuances of my recent order. She was an absolute delight to talk with. I could actually hear her smiling and laughing!
Customers are very quick to write to companies with their complaints nowadays. Not many are prepared to put pen to paper, when a compliment is due. You should hold on to Natalie, and reward her appropriately!

I would like to thank Paul and Sarah for such a memorable day when choosing my next piano. After I auditioned my shortlist of four pianos, I really appreciated their patience and support in helping me to reach the right decision. Unable to accommodate a grand, I finally settled for a magnificent Schimmel K Series upright. Paul even went as far as to give me a full guided tour around the workings of this piano. In the end it was a pleasure to have dealt with like minded musicians and piano enthusiasts. If the preparation, delivery and after sales service proves to be just as first rate, I will be a very happy man indeed. I am therefore confident that Forsyth will provide plenty of good reasons to be cheerful.

Ordered a guitar 7th December 2020, with free postage and it amazingly came the next day and before noon. Couldn't believe it and all this during Covid. Well packaged and guitar set up perfectly, intonation and everything just right. Was out of tune out of the box but been in tune ever since I tuned it up. Couldn't recommend enough for the service and after service because I phoned them up for some advice and spoke to a very pleasant person who then gave me good advice allowing me time to get the answers without being rushed. The price was good as well. Can't say enough good things about the whole experience.

Fantastic service!

I was looking to get a beginner piano that would leave me happy for a few good years. When I called in asking for advice in choosing my purchase, I got very full, detailed, patient and honest conversation.
I had my eyes on Kawai SE110 (btw, this is absolutely amazing model), but I wondered if there were any good alternatives. I was informed why this model is a good choice, what are the alternatives and why alternatives are limited during COVID, I was offered the option to preorder an alternative and receive it as soon as it comes in from manufacturer (very nice!), I was informed what shipment is available, I was informed about what I could expect it I was attending the store during this time and how they ensure safety of both workers and customers.
Overall, the customer service was well informed, happy to help and honest.

They shipped the piano the same day (I ordered it before 1PM). I ordered the Kawai piano as well as an impressive quality stand and one piece of sheet music, which I had planned to get for a while.

I was updated when shipment was made and everything arrived next day. Note that DPD did not sent a tracking (they have done this to other shipments I made before, so I was not worried). Piano and stand were packaged by manufacturer (which was good because you could see way up and there was less risk of anyone getting that wrong during transport). The sheet music was placed inside a sealed envelope and inside the stand's box.

I know where I am getting my sheet music from next :D

When things go wrong, one sees a firm in its true colours! Forsyths could not have treated me better. Suffice to say, this is a firm you can trust. Forsyths gained nothing from my mistake, other than my respect and my promise to revert to them the next time I need anything musical!
