Bad scammers who sell cars ready for…
Bad scammers who sell cars ready for scrap and refuse to give you a refund.
Avoid at all costs!!!
Also the positive reviews are what he puts on himself, so beware!
First time I bought a car from here and…
First time I bought a car from here and I can not fault Geoff he was very friendly, the car I bought needed break discs and pads doing and he got it fixed for me within a few days of me purchasing it, had no trouble with him at all, on my experience with first choice car sales I would definitely recommend them.
Awful experience
Awful experience. first car bought from them. Shouted at me on the phone and called me a liar. Car collapsed while driving it. Should have never been sold. Could have been fatal.

Dangerous took over 5 weeks to get shock absorbers done kept sending back nothing their idea of testing pushing front up and down when taken out shock absorbers replaced taking to court for other work to be done buyer beware
STAY AWAY!!!!!
Before I bought the car, it took 3/4 weeks for the car to be ready as he said on the Ad there is 2 keys which there wasn't!! so he was waiting for a spare key. Also, I asked for a full service and MOT to be done. When I picked the car up, every time I break the steering wheel would vibrate badly, took it to my garage and charged £270 for front brake discs.
Now I am going to do a full service as I don't trust anything at all that comes from that man's mouth. I will update the full cost later. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE OR MAN, STAY AWAY!!!
Absolutely faultless service from…
Absolutely faultless service from Geoff. I bought my Daughter a DS3 from him and what a pleasure it was! An old-school car dealer that puts the customer first and is a man of his word. A real breath of fresh air to deal with, away from all the other 'dealers'. I cannot recommend First Choice Car Sales (and Geoff) enough.... Thank you!
Do not buy any cars from him
Do not buy any cars from him! I was stupid enough to buy 3 and they got worse each time.
The first car I got I was very lucky with, was my first car, spent 995 and it lasted 2 years without needing any repairs and passed the MOT no problems.
Part ex the car back to him because the clutch/friction plate was on its way out and wasn’t worth fixing. Second car I absolutely hated, he told me the motor in the driver side window needed replacing and he would arrange for that to be fixed even if I’d already bought it. Every time I tried to arrange this I got ignored or fobbed off, would arrange a day and either cancel or ignore me or say he would get back to me and never did. Went the whole summer without being able to open my window! The check injection light came on straight away within the so called warranty but he never got back to me about that and the windshield started popping out of the frame, despite me never having an accident in it.
I stupidly put this down to bad luck cause it’s an old used car, part ex it back to him and got the current car. He claimed it was valeted and cleaned but I’ve been dealing for months with mould in the carpet that he hid under car matts so it got much worse by the time I discovered it. I’ve also had to have the timing chain, coolant tank and exhaust replaced! I spent more repairing it than I have buying it! My recent MOT also proved to me that he has been paying mechanics to pass MOTs on his cars when they clearly should fail.
The trusted garage I took it to confirmed that every tyre was used and they had re cut tread back into them to a dangerous depth! I have never had any of the tyres replaced, the indicators failed for being the wrong colour but I’ve never had them replaced either (but this didn’t fail in the MOT he did). I was going to buy a fourth car when I’ve luckily seen all these reviews and saw his true colours when I told him I changed my mind about buying another car from him
STAY AWAY FROM THIS CONMAN GEOFF…
STAY AWAY FROM THIS CONMAN GEOFF MORRISSEY.
Sells crap cars and tries to fob you off with a warranty that is not worth a carrot.
Place should be shut down and get watchdog round there!
Keep away and don’t give this crook the time of day!!
Don't go please.
Drove 270 miles to see a van that was supposed to be in good condition. Totally knackered. Reading reviews, thank god I left it behind. Cars look good in Ads. Really misleading photos.
Terrible
Terrible, con man as mentioned by all the other reviews. The car I was sold should never have passed its MOT. I am currently in the process of reporting First Choice Car Sales and the MOT garage used to the DVSA. I am also going to contact Autotrader. It would be great if others who have been scammed could do this as well.
Details of how to report to the DVSA can be found online at the GOV.UK website.
Does anyone know Jeff/Geoff's surname
Does anyone know Jeff/Geoff's surname. We bought a car from him and we're having problems. We intend to go through Trading Standards or the small claims court?
Do not buy any cars from this place
Don’t buy any cars from Geoff I brought a car off this man in April this year it’s lasted me 6 months the engine has gone and it needed to be scrapped😡had other issues has well with it,I saved up hard earned cash it cost me £2,300 and it didn’t even last the m.o.t👎They might look good on the outside but believe me it’s what’s in the inside,I think he knows a lot of fellas in the garages and gives them back handers just to do basics on the cars when really they are not road worthy and ready for the scrap heap,I will be buying off a private seller next time please read all the reviews of people which I didn’t🙁I have learned my lesson’ now I,am without a car over Christmas😡till I save up again I hope this man goes out of business because when i’am reading all the reviews I don’t know how he is still in business🤷♀️
Hi Lynette!
Hi Lynette!
It’s been nearly 3 years and I’m still waiting to get my money back from Geoff! I currently have bailiff pursuing him for the money.
He won’t give u any money back and I’m certain the car if you do get back will be back in the garage before you know it. Be very careful driving it as mine nearly killed me!

Well it has now been 4 months that first choice car sales in Liverpool have had my car to be repaired under the warranty. Still not received my car back . Had a dodgy photo of an engine that was supposedly going into it but as yet he is still lying and ignoring calls and dodging his responsibility as a car salesman and and a human being to be fair , as I look after disabled and terminally ill adults and need my car , his answer was tough you will have to get one in the meantime , apparently he is doing his best. NOT !!

f I could give a minus star on this…
If I could give a minus star on this review I would, an absolute conman!! My partner bought a car from him at the end of March..it’s been in one of his workshops(?!) for more time than it’s been parked at our address. It was picked up today after 3 months and the issues are still not fixed. we paid over £2k for a car that can’t be used. It’s been reported to trading standards and the police and no one wants to know! Now if I was to knowingly drive a defective car I would be fined as a minimum, yet this conman can sell defective cars with impunity…time to report the garage who did the MOT to the DVSA I think
Con man
After 26 days the SBC unit stopped working. After ring Geoff, he didnt want anything to do with it as is wasnt under the "warranty", after speaking to trading standards who told me I had a right to get my money back under the SORT TERM RIGHT TO REGECT due to unsatisfactory quality. I contacted Geoff again and told him what trading standards said, his response was "your not getting a penny for of me, I see you in court".
So if your thinking of buying a car from Geoff please save your some time and money and use a dealer who is not a con man.
We didn't buy a car from this guy but…
We didn't buy a car from this guy but this is where the problems started. We bought a little Ford Ka off a guy for £450. Weeks later we received a letter from a finance company saying there was an outstanding debt on the car and the could come and remove it as it was theirs. We called the company and the confirmed it. We contacted the seller of the car who said he'd bought it off Jeff at First Choice Cars( unfortunately he knew about the outstanding finance and did nothing about it except sell it on to us) He said he'd call Jeff . We were then told Jeff had bought it auction and had an indemnity certificate off the auction house covering any outstanding finance on the vehicle. So we weren't too concerned. We still had received no paperwork regarding this so we called Jeff . He was rude, evasive and declared this wasn't going to cost him a penny. He told us he bought this car knowing there was finance on it but allowed the woman to walk away telling her to pay it off herself. He then sold the car to the guy who then sold it to us. Now, this car is unsellable. We cannot sell this car legally as it's not our to sell. It's now going back to the guy who sold it to us who in turn, should return it to this cowboy for a full refund. Trading standards have been informed . Steer clear . He obviously has no moral standards and his business ethic is atrocious.
Avoid at all costs
Terrible customer service after a tyre blew within 48 hrs no responsibility as tyres blow all time really car just gone though a mot think it's got to be dodgy as wires showing on wheel keep away lucky son wa only in a side street at 25mph caused enough damage to scrap car just luckyvwasntvon motorway
DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! CONMAN!
Bought a Chevrolet Aveo. Originally phoned him about a different car which had supposedly already been sold but, "not to worry", he could tell that I was a "genuine person" and he had a good deal for me... he arrived a few days later (he wouldnt let us come to him) with the aforementioned Chevrolet. The car had a broken fuel flap, broken boot release mechanism, broken glove box, and missing parcel shelf... but "not to worry", if we bought the car he would come back and fix these things for free (I'd hope so too!)... we bought the car, and he then proceeded to ignore us for six months. Then, for the next six months we would arrange for him to come and fix the problems he'd promised (big of him!), but he then never turned up or even bothered to rearrange. We get to the MOT some months later to find an enormous MOT bill, and laughingly, one of the wheels was on backwards.... The mechanic who conducted the MOT said we were essentially driving a death trap, and was 'horrified' it was on the road. This guy is a conman of the highest order, and I would actively avoid dealing with him or his sh***y cars.
Cowboy dealer
Total conman sells deathtraps and refuses to do anything to rectify it. Bought car for over a grand, less than a month later it is scrapped as it was an insurance write off and the engine blew up AVOID
