Altogether a well organised operation and we enjoyed our holiday. Staff were great and responsive. Only disappointment was the quality of the hotel...it was still very pleasant but a little tired not... Mehr ansehen

When I chose a holiday that looked to be a good price, I proceeded with my booking. When I pressed the "Continue" button the price shot up not by a little but by at least £20 per person. Then I had to download the Ryanair app to complete my booking. Personally, I didn't want another app on my phone doing what apps do best (generally, in my opinion, invading my privacy). Be aware, Ryanair's baggage charges are higher than TUI's. So what looked like a real bargain, turned out not to be such a good deal after all.

We paid an additional £840 to book and choose our 6 extra space seats for both outbound and inbound flights however, when we got to the airport all of our chosen seats had been changed for the outbound flights and the seats for our return flights had been removed altogether!
We called first choice via the airport staff and were told there had been an aircraft change and as the plane would be slightly smaller they didn’t have 6 seats together they had 3 extra space seats next to a row of 3 standard sized seats which we had to accept, we needed at least one set of extra space seats as one passenger is 6’7 and would really struggle in standard seats. We were told we would be refunded the £210 paid for the seats which we would no longer have on the return flight however we were only refunded £150 and on the return flight we didn’t get any extra space seats just 3 extra legroom and 3 standard!
So, we paid for 6 extra space seats each way and we got 3 in total, 6 extra legroom and 3 standard!
We would not choose or recommend first choice following this experience.

We booked our holiday 18 months ago and have had several changes to our booking. Today we received an email saying that our flight had been cancelled and moved to the next day on a much later arrival time. I have booked via First choice and Tui every year for over a decade. Never again.

We had a really disappointing experience. Our flights were changed to 2 days earlier, which completely disrupted our plans.
On top of that, we were then informed there would be building works at our hotel. We were told we could change the hotel, but at no point were we given a clear deadline to make that decision.
I later found out that the building works are quite disruptive, so I asked to change hotels — only to be told I had “left it too late” due to a 10-day deadline. This was never clearly communicated and only ever mentioned in relation to the flight change, not the hotel.
I made it clear during calls that I was focusing on sorting the flights first and would decide on the hotel after, and nobody advised me that I needed to decide immediately or risk losing the option.
Very frustrating experience and poor communication throughout. I would like this resolved.

Can’t even give a five day grace period past the deadline for payment in a £2500 holiday, didn’t even ask why … stick with TUI they have always been supportive If I ever needed an extension , five days extra wouldn’t hurt surely

We wanted to change our holiday, and there some fees of about £450 to change the destination. I found a price online and I could choose the exact same holiday, and get to the payment and the price difference of what I paid and the changing fees was still £400. The person making booking change couldn't explain the difference. So this is a scam and I warn people to find another way of booking. So £450 for change fee, plus £400 mystery fees, £950 to make a booking change.
