Terrible no freedom of speech … if minister John Harvard the founding father of Harvard could see it now and all they stand for he would cry . The Massachusetts Bay Colony organised a college in 1636 .. it was the first college in the colonies, its soul purpose was to train Ministers .

What is really wrong with Harvard? First, Freedom of speech is their motto for anything the student body want to express. However for a law university, they should know not all speech is protected by our constitution. Yell fire in a theater to have people stamped is not protected, and yell Hijack at an airport, and see what happens. To support a terrorist organization like Hamas with free speech shows just how low our universities have gone to teach the basics of life for everyone. For Donors to these universities threatening to pull funding, and donations is laughable. There should be no threat, just do it. So I can only lump donors, Scholars at these universities (Columbia included) and Hamas as being the same. Hamas is the terrorist organization, and supported online and in demonstrations by cowards. Donors that only threaten to pull funding are cowards instead of acting. Palestinians are basically cowards by not leaving for Gaza to fight for their homeland. Instead they hide behind signs and flags, and cover their heads to promote hate. If you can pull up your big boy and girl pants, and actually think for yourself, think on this. The Palestinians want their state, sponsored by Iran, and still want to kill Israelites. Even Egypt won’t take these people in because they know how untrustworthy these people are. So if you really want to help these people in Gaza, go over there and help them. If you don’t then you know you will become a hostage for Hamas. Then you can look in a mirror, and call yourself a coward.

I am extremely saddened to say that HES does not help International Students solve their financial aid problems at all. There are no Financial Aid options coming from the university itself, and 2 out of 3 student loan companies that their office recommends actually don't really accept Extension School students. The third one needs a lot of extra paperwork that the school isn't willing to help with.

In order to enroll you need to pay in full and you don't get a letter of enrollment until after the drop out period, when it's too late. You can't get a loan without paying and you can't get enrolled without a loan. So it's a chicken and egg situation that has no end.

They say the university helps cover for you until the loan is approved, but in reality, you have to pay in full first and they will reimburse you after the loan is paid. Which defies the entire point of asking for financial assistance.

There is a very short window in which to apply for the loan after registration before being dropped out for non-payment. Paperwork takes more than a month, which is not nearly enough to get everything done.

I've spent hours and hours with both the lending officers and the financial aid officers, and in the end, nothing got solved. Nothing. I am unable to join the courses. I am unable to get a loan.

I feel like my potential is wasting away...

Harvard has failed me.

I took a psychology course with Harvard Extension to fulfill the prerequisites for a Master's in Art Therapy offered elsewhere. The course was well organized and the professor was one of the best. She was very professional, funny, friendly and knowledgable. She slipped in a few morsels of extra facts from her own research that were very interesting.

I almost removed one star for the cost because it is not cheap, but I got what I paid for and, really, I can't complain.

All my questions were answered in a clear and timely manner, the coursework was well organized, the website was easy to use. There were multiple TA's working with the professor and they were helpful and friendly, understanding. Interacting in the group forum was exciting as we had to post responses to course material as part of the grade. It is nice to explore topics with others who are interested in the same thing and are serious about learning.
