I purchased a vehicle via bank transfer from Evans Halshaw Chorley.

Within 48 hours, I discovered that the dealership committed a major misleading omission under consumer law by completely withholding the fact that this vehicle is an ex-rental asset. This material information was hidden during the entire sales process to inflate the vehicle's market value.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, I exercised my absolute statutory Short-Term Right to Reject the vehicle within 2 days. Shockingly, the Branch Manager and Head of Business have formally refused to honor my legal rights or issue a full refund, falsely claiming that hiding commercial/rental history isn't valid grounds for rejection.

They did not offer a single penny off the purchase price to compensate for this hidden history, nor have they offered any viable resolution.

To make matters worse, their communication has been appalling. I have only received one single phone call throughout this entire process, and absolutely no customer relations emails or written updates to explain their stance. They have completely refused to help or communicate professionally.

This matter has now been escalated to the National Conciliation Service (NCS) and reported to Trading Standards. Avoid this dealership if you expect transparency or lawful customer service.

I have already received a final refusal email from your customer relations team, which completely contradicts this automated reply. Your branch manager formally admitted the vehicle is an ex-Enterprise rental car but refuses to honor my statutory 30-day right to reject. Because of your refusal to comply with the Consumer Rights Act 2015, this matter has now been officially escalated to the National Conciliation Service and has been accepted for escalation. I am currently awaiting a response to my settlement proposal sent to your head office.

This was my first time buying a new car and Daniel (Lovasi) was fantastic from the initial chat to collecting the keys. Daniel was patient and answered any and all my questions (no matter how daft they may have been). He walked me through the process with a professional and polite attitude but also a friendly one, not rushing me in any way, happy to stop and clarify anything I was unsure about. His communication throughout was brilliant, either by phone or email, he made the whole process worry free. On the final day of actually collecting the new car, he had all the paperwork prepared and the transition from old car to new was super quick. Daniel was happy to spend time at the end just going through anything I wanted to know about settig up the car. I would definitly recommend Daniel as a point of contact to buy a new car from.
