We do not recommend Essex Blinds Ltd due to various issues we experienced. Positives: David was friendly during the first visit and the Sunwood blinds we got through him are good quality (credit to the manufacturer). Negatives: 1. When we were ready for blinds to be installed, we were doubled-charged for a day's labour (background: in the beginning we could not confirm an installation date due to issues out of our control, then once it was finally set - approx 3 years later - only then were we advised we'd have to pay them extra for labour, despite having already paid for everything including labour up-front - which took less than a day, communicating well with Essex Blinds and cooperating with them by taking all the boxes of blinds off their hands and storing them ourselves prior to installation); 2. On the day of installation David was unfriendly - when asked a question or when we wanted to clarify something he was standoffish; 3. One set of blinds that David received and gave us to store at home earlier on turned out to be the wrong size (he blamed the manufacturer, Sunwood, for the wrong dimensions despite Sunwood telling me he's responsible for checking the dimensions in the first place which are clearly stated on the outside of the box - something Essex Blinds say they never do which is odd -upon receiving the goods themselves and before giving to us; 4. David arranged to get a replacement for the blinds that were the wrong size but involved us by asking us to mark/damage the blinds and send them a picture of it to pass onto Sunwoods in the hope that they (and therefore we) would get a replacement from Sunwoods at no cost; 5. In the meantime, David installed the wrong sized blinds (leaving the bottom half of the window uncovered for at least a week); 6. David said that once the replacement blinds are delivered, we'd have to install them ourselves - not him, despite having been double-charged for labour; 7. In the end and having been involved in their scheme to mark/damage the blinds, David informed us that we weren't entitled to a refund for the replacement blinds after all, despite them being responsible for checking the dimensions in the first place; 8. David/Essex Blinds are essentially ghosting us and limiting their communication with us to calls only, in the hope that they can move on and forget everything.

Fantastic service from David and his team in supplying and fitting 2 bay windows plus 3 additional windows with Venetian blinds. We felt that David listened carefully to what we needed for our windows and was able to offer a solution that suited us perfectly. David ensured the work was completed to the highest standard possible and took care of our home while he worked. I would highly recommend this company for their professionalism, attention to detail and very reasonable price.

We recently had blinds fitted throughout our home after house refurbishment. David provided an excellent professional service from the initial measuring to the fitting and was very clean and tidy in his work. He even fitted a large wall mirror for us. Nothing was too much trouble. Very competitive prices. I cannot recommend Essex Blinds enough, excellent professional service.

Excellent product, price and service. I was even offered a return visit when I was having 2nd thoughts about my fabric choice. David was very helpful and thorough during his first visit, and very speedy, clean and efficient when fitting (with an assistant) 2 very wide vertical blinds.

I am so glad I did not buy my blinds online and instead got them measured and fitted professionally by Essex Blinds. They fit perfectly and I am especially pleased with the blinds for my french doors. Super service and very good value.

What can I say. From consultation and measuring to completion of installation of 6 real wood custom made venetian blinds and 1large patio door vertical blind all of high standard and finish, David delivered a fantastic service.

Fantastic service from Essex Blinds Ltd. David came round and measured up with very helpful advice on my kitchen window and kitchen doors windows. The cost was very reasonable compared to Hillarys Blinds who furnished my other windows but that came with an extremely lot of hassle and headaches. They look great and all done within a week so thank you very much! I will not hesitate to use them again if and when needed.

I originally got Hillary's to quote - their rep turned up, didn't want to spend the time to measure up and only did so when I insisted,and then he gave no input at all.
Unhappy with that I looked for someone local and found David at Essex Blinds Direct. David came to measure up and gave great input when discussing what types of blinds would work well in the different rooms. With the quote coming in at cheaper than Hillary's for more windows and a higher quality blind I had no hesitation in ordering.
The blinds only took a couple of weeks to arrive and David was over straight away to install them. As I have just moved into a brand new home I'm a bit paranoid about the walls and carpet but David and his team were very careful throughout and vacuumed and cleared up as they went. To fit all blinds took half a day and they weren't even phased by the dog trying to help!
The blinds look fantastic both inside and from outside and I couldn't be happier with the product and the service!
