Booked for the Joeboy concert on the 25th July and we were told he is running late at 10:30pm when the event was taking place from 6-10pm. I along with a large crowd left dissapointed we didn't get to see him and I have been chasing them for a refund for a month to no avail.

During the concert their staff were rude and condescending. I wouldn't recommend booking in for an Enish event

Enish Oxford Street is outstanding! From the moment we arrived, the environment was welcoming and the staff looked very professional and well-groomed. We truly had a great time with my family. Esther Tarey, in particular, was amazing—she was attentive, exceptionally clean, and served us with such care. She made sure my aunties, who needed the most support, were well looked after. The food was excellent; we ordered a lot and even took some home. My entire family was in awe of the place. Highly recommended!

The food was really nice, the hospitality from Ekinadose was amazing, good atmosphere and I’ll definitely recommend.

I purchased from this company a few weeks ago,they did not have everything so they sent from two different shops They delivered one and the second one did not deliver my order.I contacted them and Uber eats said I could not get a refund Enish is different from any other as the ones local to me puts thyme on everything,and the beef that is used is always sour im not a rich person so when my order is not met I’m lost in anger as I’m on universal credit

I have used this Enish Lewisham for a long time. I even had my 70th birthday here which cost me £1,000 plus. Tonight, 14th Feb 2026 was deplorable. I came here to celebrate my wife and daughter. We placed order for 3. Firstly, it took 35 minutes to get the Guinness I ordered. Wait for this. The food was served only for 2 people. My wife's food was NEVER served. When asked, all I received was sorry which was not genuine. Sorry doesn't CUT this kind of lousy services. ENISH, check out your investment before it goes out in smoke. Good luck. The Manager on duty is EVE . She's not incharge. Worse, she even charged for my partner order not served.

Extremely Poor Service and Complete Waste of Time

I had a very disappointing experience at Inish. I ordered puff puff and was told it would take 30 minutes. When I returned after 30 minutes to collect it, I was then told they had made it incorrectly because they “didn’t put the right ingredients in,” and that they needed to start again. I was assured it would only take another 10 minutes.

At that point, I had already waited 30 minutes, and the total wait would supposedly be 40 minutes. However, the situation became unacceptable. I ended up waiting over 1 hour and 15 minutes, and still had no puff puff.

Puff puff is a basic fried dough made from flour, a very simple and standard item. There is absolutely no reasonable explanation for such an excessive delay, especially after giving multiple inaccurate time estimates.

To make matters worse, when I requested a refund due to the unreasonable wait, they initially refused. It was only after I firmly insisted that they finally returned my money. This should never be the customer’s experience. When a business cannot deliver an order within a reasonable timeframe, a refund should be offered immediately and professionally, not resisted.

Overall, the service was extremely poor, disorganised, and dismissive of the customer’s time. I wasted over an hour waiting for something I never received, and the lack of accountability made the situation even worse.

Very disappointing experience. I would not recommend based on this level of service.

Ordered food to take away, the service was reasonable, but the food was sky-high expensive and very poor tasting. The Moi Moi was small and dry, and the Egusi was extremely high in salt, which is not recommended at all. I am so disappointed with this because it costs a lot of money. What a sham/shame.

My partner and I have visited a few times. For reference, I am white Scottish and partner is Nigerian. On arrival at the restaurant, we were seated and advised that the menus would be brought over. After 10mins, my partner had to go ask for menus. The waitress who came over to take our order was extremely rude and racially profiled me. I asked what assorted meat came with the white rice and ayamase. Instead of answering my question, she stated "this is too spicy FOR YOU". 1. Not what I asked and 2. Not the way to speak to customers. I advised her that I have eaten it before and that her comment was rude. If she had said "just to make you aware this dish is very spicy" it would have not have been an issue, however it was very clear that she made the statement because I was white. If the tables were turned it would be considered racist and a huge issue! I then ordered goat meat with jollof and she told me "this is too spicy" and smirked. I am not sure whether she was racist or unhappy that we were a mixed couple but she did not behave in the same manner or make the same statements towards black customers. My partner went to get the manager and explained the situation to him. The girl was stopped from serving our table and we were given complimentary drinks and the manager was apologetic. Management should ensure that their workers are given appropriate customer service training as each time we have been, the service has been terrible. There has always been long wait times with no communication and lack of customer service skills.

The food itself is nice but starters are overpriced. £17 for lamb suya (literally about 5 pieces of lamb). We have tried various other dishes and have enjoyed them all. I had a Pina colada which was nice but again took forever to be served. The couple next to us had also ordered drinks and had to ask for them multiple times before being served.

The overall vibe and interior seems nice. I have not been just for drinks club so can't comment.

We will be back however I will be requesting that this waitress does not serve us again.

Great food, but customer service was terrible. And this is me as a British Nigerian speaking, like, why do we always do this to ourselves? We make great food, but once it comes to the service part of it, it is terrible. For example I had a Egusi and padded yam. I could not finish my soup because it was a lot. I asked the waitress, can you please pack this up for me, so I can take the rest home. The waitress lady who never seems to smile had the audacity to bring the empty container and put it on my table where I was dining, expecting me to pour it by myself Infront where there are guests and, customers everywhere. The normal thing to do would be to take my plate, go to to the back where the kitchen is, put it in a container and bring it back to me in a bag. That's what you do. That is service. On top of that the waitress energy was terrible I don’t expect a fake smile or over exaggerated happiness, i felt like the waitress didn’t want to be there and more importantly didn’t want to serve us.She had this resting b***ch face.. excuse my language.. The delay for the food took ages as well not once did anyone show up to the table to apologise or comminicate with us..Then they you have the audacity to want to charge for service charge thats what i find crazy .when we were leaving the venue..not a single good buy or thanks for coming etc none of that. Nigerian customer service you neeed to do better..The food has never been an issue it taste amazing but Enish your service compared to other white establishment is terrible and it's always your waitresses

Bought isi ewu from Lewisham on 26/7/2025. Who ever made that meal has no business making isi ewu. Another place I will never order from

Food poisoning from Enish Old Kent Road delivered by Uber eats. I am currently so sick from what we had (Eforiro with fish pounded yam). Myself and my family have all been sick after eating this food over 24 hours ago, so sick to the point where I had to call 111 and go to the hospital. What a disaster.

We visited Enish Lewisham on the evening of 17.07.2025, hoping to celebrate my partner’s graduation with a special meal, as this is his favourite restaurant usually. Sadly, it turned out to be anything but.

Halfway through dinner, I discovered relatively short thick black hair in the food. Though a replacement was offered, I had already lost my appetite. The manager, Joel, insisted the kitchen staff had taken extra precautions and looked to us for a reaction, which felt defensive rather than empathetic. The real disappointment came when he tried to negotiate payment for only part of the contaminated dish — the pounded yam — rather than offering a full resolution.

To make matters worse, throughout the evening, a rat was running back and forth outside the garden door, right next to our table. It was unsettling and unhygienic, and added to our discomfort.

Having been a loyal customer, I expected better — not only in terms of food hygiene but also how the staff handle situations that call for sensitivity and care. This experience left us feeling disrespected and disappointed, and we’ll likely be looking elsewhere for future celebrations.

It’s really horrible when people put good reviews for a place that is absolutely trash. We need to get beyond trying to support a brand to telling the truth so they improve.

I and a friend came here in the joy of having Enish now in Scotland only to be utmostly disappointed.

We got the Oha soup, Abula and Afang soup.

Oha soup: Total apology. If you can’t cook the food then don’t include in your menus and charge exorbitant price. To make matters worse, they added a truckload of pepper to hide the horrible taste, you could barely see any leaves in it, looked like improperly cooked porridge.

Abula: This was salty, I wonder how they vet their cooks, Abula is one of the easiest meals to make but this was just bla with a lot of salt.

Afang: The beauty of Afang is in the freshness of the leaves and the taste. They used dry Afang leaves, the ones you soak first before cooking and the food came out horrible and chewy. This is appealing as fresh Afang leaves are sold everyday in African stores. If you are doing food business then get your raw foods fresh. The meat nko, it was too soft like they were cooking it for a child without teeth.

I spent close to £100 here, I should get quality but rather got trash. That cook either needs to go to catering school and learn how to cook or find a new job because this is totally appalling. If you can’t do the business then close it down stop representing blacks poorly.

I ordered £60 worth of food on deliveroo and the portion sizes were so small. It wasn't even enough for 2 people. When I called the restaurant they said the portions looked small because they used big containers.... WTG!

I’ve ordered Jollof rice with “assorted meats” thought Deliveroo app through their Oxford street restaurant and I got assorted “gelatinous fat and bones and other debris and what looked like an entrail” with rice.
I paid £30.56 in total for what I consider absolute rubbish aka glorified offal.
I had the good sense of dumping the contents of the very cheap two containers in the bin as I was not sure of what I was eating.
I have used their Knightsbridge restaurant and the quality of the food seem okay but doesn’t justify the over inflated price tag.
This is a disgraceful and they should be shut down!!!
Next time I’d go for Ghanaian jollof

I visited the restaurant in glasgow and it took over an hour before the food was served.
The food wasn’t well cooked and the prices are a rip off.
The protein that was supposed to be served with the food was finished and the server didn’t inform us, yet was charged for it.
Never visiting again and won’t recommend.

Today 10/05/2025 I ordered food from Enish the one in Finchley Road. I ordered fish dish costing £30 and it was half the size they normally sell in the restaurant or on delivery. I complained to them but they won’t even refund half of it. I am a Displease customer.
